Have you noticed a change in the tracks o great hunter?
Elden had in fact, the tracks had split apart, the main group continuing forward and a smaller one taking the path to the right. They were as old as the others so the Elf assumed they were heading for a small town a day and half's walk in that direction. The humans were spreading their influence. The prince held back a curse, knowing that the Gryphon would find his sudden outburst something to amuse himself with. Fyrr enjoyed mocking him, which had resulted in Elden refusing to help him more than once.
Bending down he stare at the tracks. Two of them were on horseback. The elf sighed and stood up again. They were long gone, and even if he did follow them until he found them, he only could not take down an entire brigade. This time he did curse, causing the Gryphon to chuckle. "Let's keep going." It wasn't like he had any other options. The magic was bleeding away from this world. Yes master. Hmm, did you think we could stop for a rest tonight? You're going to drop from exhaustion soon... hey, you listening?
The elf had paused. "There's somebody ahead." So? Biting back a retort Elden continued walking down the dusty and rocky path, moving with the agile grace of a predator. He kept his dark gaze on the person ahead; soon deciding it was a young woman, quite short with very noticeable deep crimson hair. Ooo, she's a pretty one. "Shut up." Let's stop and say hello. "We're busy, and you should stick to your own species." No, I' just trying to be polite.
Closer now, Elden gave a quick nod of his head, preparing to sweep past. He had no time to spend on random people on the mountains.

Brenya peered at the headstrong man as he bustled past, his eyes barely even acknowledging her as he did so. Her jaw dropped a little, and her soft brow furrowed. Now, that's just not polite. She thought to herself, stamping her small boot gently, and sending a shower of dust around the hem of her skirt. Well, Fyrr never was one for manners, Aaurondyl thought, her magestic voice hinting at humour. Who?! You know him? But... He's an... An elf! How do you know him? Ask questions later, child. For now, catch up to him.
Brenya scoffed, noting that at the man's pace she would never catch up to him, but did as she was told. Gathering her skirts in her fists, she rushed after him, boots kicking up even more dust than imaginable. "Wait!" She called, scrambling over rocks, between boulders, and around other minor obstacles that came between her and her prey. "Fyrr! FYRR!" Finally, the young woman gained on him, and halted in front of him, blocking her path. Panting, she brushed a few stringy locks of deep red hair from her face and put her hands on her hips. Now what?
Although she did not will them to, Brenya's lips began to move, and words came tumbling out. Her voice was significantly deeper, and equally weaker. "Hello, Fyrr. it has been too long, but it was only a matter of time before the elders began to find each other again. I see you've chosen a very suitable specimine indeed." A light flush rose to Brenya's cheeks, and she pressed her lips shut. What are you doing?!?!

Elden obviously realized he was being rude but he couldn't care less. Some little girl wasn't going to pause his quest with meaningless pleasantries. After sweeping past her he kept on his straight path, trying to ignore the sardonic chuckles of the gryphon. Elden was quite sure his lack of acknowledgement would assure the girl or woman or whatever she was that he had no desire for any sort of talk and would keep away, thus he was quite surprised to hear her calling after him. Still he kept up his strides, while Fyrr suddenly startled and tried to stop Elden from walking. She's calling for me. I think we should stop. "No."
Though he was still walking, the elf had slowed considerably, giving Brenya a chance to catch up and stand in front of him in a very resolute manner. Elden fell to a stop, a considerable glare crossing his features. "What?!" Be nice The thought of being berated by a wisecracking, womanising gryphon was infuriating, but he had no time to tell the annoying beast off as the girls words suddenly gave him a great deal of confusion as they poured forth.
Move aside With that demand Fyrr thrust Elden's awareness, and the elf's fight for his body was short-lived "Get out- Hmph, that's better... long time no see baby." With a silly grin on his lips Fyrr looked Brenya over, quirking an eyelid. "You always did have good taste." Fyrr fell silent, but still refused to give Elden use of his body back, who was currently screaming and raging at the back of his mind.

Skyman shot the arrow straight and true. It hit the creature in the throat. It gave an abbreviated shriek and fell to the ground, thrashing. He dashed over to it and twisted the arrow shaft, making sure it died. He pulled it out and cleaned it off on a handful of leaves. Mustn't waste ammunition. He lifted the ugly beast and slung it over his shoulder. He proceeded to carry it back towards the Tree.
He hadn't gone far when he noticed that there were people up the road. He went back into the underbrush and crept along quietly. Damn, an elf and... the girl had her back to him so it was hard to tell. He sat the corpse down beside him and resolved to wait it out. They were both magical creatures in nature he didn't want to fight two to one unless he had to. Then again... if he could shoot them both from this cover he wouldn't need to. He started formulating a plan as he re-strung his bow.

Alexander leisurely walked down a dirt road, one foot in front of another as if he were on a tight rope. Upon him was a suit of armor with the symbol of a dragon engraved upon the chest. His metal boots clanked heavily everytime he took a step forward. At his waist was a black leather belt with a long sword hanging from it. Slung on his back was a quiver of arrows and a elegantly carved bow.
His blue eyes traced the ground ahead of him as he continued to walk in his odd fashion. He continually brushed his auburn hair from his eyes as it kept falling into his face. "Is this where I should be going, Draco?" he asked his soul partner.
The others should have already found their soul bond, said a thunderous voice inside Alexander's head. We have to get to the tree before those humans do something to it. No offense.
"None taken," he said gently as he continued down the dirt road.

A smirk spread across the nymph's face, which was a deep shade of crimson at this point. "Charming, as usual, Fyrr. But, I much prefer my usual form to this..." Aaurondyl paused, looking for the proper word. "Bipedal." Brenya, by this point, was nearly screaming with confusion. What is going on?! She demanded, her gentle voice sounding rather small and weak inside of her brain. Did you think you were the only one who was hearing voices, my dear? You are looking at the great gryphon king, Fyrr. Well, at least sort of. He seems to have taken the form of this elf man, much like I have taken the form of you. Dismissing Brenya, Aaurondyl returned her attention to Fyrr.
"Have you found any of the other's yet?" Aaurondyl asked. By now she had allowed the nymph to at least control her arms, and she was furiously smoothing her skirt, and twirling a strand of copper locks between her fingers; as was her habit when nervous. "I feel they have already bonded, but I don't know with whom, or where."

||Em... I hate to do this but.... I have to. >.< No one except those who are bonded actually know that anyone has bonded, at this point.
Most humans and everyone else should think that the last of the four great mythical beasts are dead. sweatdrop I think you might need to edit your post a bit.||

The Gryphon's control was close to complete. He didn't bother to explain anything as Aaurondyl was doing for Brenya. Most of that information Elden already knew. Before the bonding the elf had demanded information and Fyrr had no choice but to give it until the elf prince was satisfied. "Ah, yes, same here. No wings, extremely... strange. But it's not too bad. Hmm, this is the first time I've been free to play around." While he spoke the elf stopped his onslaught of curses and allowed Fyrr free reign.
Fyrr shook Elden's head, looking off into the distance. Flying was what he missed the most and he hoped that this would all be over soon so he could return to them. "You're the first I've seen. Tsk. I've picked an elf of strong will, and so far he's been demanding we go attack things. I'm in no position to disagree." The others would turn up sooner or later, they had a greater chance of triumph if they were all together.

Skyman drew his bow slowly, an arrow nocked. He sighted down the elf. Him first. The other looks weaker. I might be able to fight her in close quarters. I don't want to fight an elf up close. He'd heard they were quick on their feet. Could be dangerous. He plotted the arrow's path, aiming for the elf's chest. I don't know if I can hit the heart from here but if I can at least get it in the area of the ribs he'll be dead soon. He was willing to bet there would be no one to help the wounded fae creatures out here. He would have easy pickings if only he could take them down. Fly true arrow. He loosed it.

Aaurondyl opened her mouth to complain about Brenya's incessant questions, when a thin shaft sliced by, cutting between Brenya and Elder, but hitting niether. Again invading Brenya's awareness, the unicorn whipped Brenya's head around and produced a thin silver blade that hung at the girls side. It was small and fairly useless in most cases, but better than nothing. Eyeing the human with a cool glare, Aaurondyl raised the blade above Brenya's head, threatening to sending it flying in the man's direction.
"You wanted a fight, elf? Looks like we found one."

The Elf's senses were sharp. Although left with little to no control over his own body, he still had use of his senses, luckily as Fyrr was still sizing up Brenya like a piece of meat. Giving a curt warning to Fyrr, the Gryphon snapped his head back as the arrow flew past. The arrow flew past between him and the nymph, striking off some rocks behing them. It had obviously been aimed for him. Fyrr let out a dry chuckle, relinquishing his hold to Elden who immediately drew his sword and moved into a defensive stance. The elf, happy to be back in control of his body, was ready for business. Casting one glance in Brenya's position he started moving in a wide circle, ears straining for any sound of movement for the enemy or the twang on the bowstring.
Fyrr's little friend obviously had some tricks under her sleeve, Elden only hoped she was actually good at fighting. His plan was to take the enemy on both sides and take him down with a quick slash to the neck. The bow would be usless once he was closer. Hopefully this opponent would loose another arrow, betraying his position and giving Elden time to rush in while another arrow was being made ready.

Damnit! How did I miss? Well granted the elf was standing kind of sideways from where he was shooting. He'd be able to get off one more shot before they'd be too close to fire on. He'd have to drop the bow fast and get his sword drawn. Well that would come later. For now he had to try another shot. That required calm and focus. He drew his bow again, sighting down the shaft. He noticed something sliver flash in the hand of the female. She was pretty quick too it looked like.
Another elf? No... no the ears are wrong for... ah I bet that one's a nymph of some kind. He would have cursed aloud if he hadn't been wary of the elf's faculties of hearing. He loosed the second arrow, aiming for the nymph's midsection this time. He tossed his bow down and drew his longsword carefully. It was quite a trick to do that while kneeling in the underbrush but he was used to not having a lot of space to swing.
