"Hmm," Mara said. "I think we have a section for that." She tugged on Arashi hand. "Come this way!"

Arashi glanced to her hand, cheeks tinging slightly from the contact. She followed the girl happily, staying quiet as they zigzagged through the vast amount of books.

They came upon a case of books, it seemed to reach a hundred feet in the air.
"Well," Mara said. "We're here! See any that you like?"

Arashi looked over the spines of the books, running her fingers along them with a smile. Gently plucking one from the selection, she turned it over to read the back. Looking back to Mara, she waved it towards her. "I think this one looks intriguing."

Mara came up and looked at it. "Which one is it?" she asked.

Arashi handed the book to Mara, smiling faintly. "It's called Hangman," she spoke. "I don't really know if it'll be good, but the storyline seems interesting," she said happily, clasping her hands together.

Mara looked at it closely and suspiciously.
"You do know that most of these books have some sort of enchantment on them?" She asked. "Most of the time, it's like that game series Myst, where the books take you to whatever is written in them. But this one......not so sure......can I see it for a second? I gotta make sure it won't....hang us or something."

Arashi's eyes widened, thrusting the book forward to Mara. "Take it!" she rather shrieked, clearly frightened at the possibility of being hanged by the words in a book.

Mara slowly opened the book. Dust fell off the cover and the paper creaked. She finally let it open all the way and sighed.
"Doesn't look too bad," She said.
Then a hangman's noose flew out of the book, aimed at her head.
"HOLY s**t!"
She threw the book across the floor, found a nearby baseball bat (don't ask) and beat the book into submission as it hopped around, the noose flailing about. It finally stopped hopping and the noose zipped back into the pages. She pulled out some tweezers and picked up the book with them and set it into a nearby cart.
"Yeah, I think I'll put that into the storage for now."

Arashi squeaked as the book threw out a noose. "Be careful!" she cried softly, putting her hands to her cheeks. Her wings fluttered slightly and her tail swished as Mara finally got the book to settle down, tossing it into a nearby cart. "That was close," she sighed, looking to the woman.

Mara gave Arashi a pat on the back.
"Don't worr. It happens to me all the time! In fact, there was this one time when this tome opened a portal to....never mind that now, long story. T'was lots of fun though. Wanna try your luck with another book?"

Arashi laughed softly, giving Mara a firm nod. "Alright, I'll try my luck again." She scanned the book spines with her golden eyes, finally plucking another from the shelf. Reading the name of it, she offered it to Mara. "It's called Killing Game. Really makes me worried."

Mara laughed. "Oh, that one? All it does is make a big party for you with cake and ice cream and candy and eveything."

Arashi grumbled quietly. "What a relief. Go figure, a book that SAYS it's going to kill you only wants to party," she sighed dramatically, letting out a soft chuckle.
