"Apparently it isn't" Tamlin replied, her voice as sweet as poisoned honey. "But, I heard an offer of cider which I think I'll stick around for. Join me?" Tamlin, without waiting for his response, waved the barkeep back over. "If you're worried about my honor perhaps you should buy me a drink and watch over it yourself" her piercing green eyes stared him down as if daring him to refuse her.

Baptiste frowns gently. "...Tamlin? Are you alright? You don't sound like yourself."
"Um, two ciders," he says cautiously to the bartender when he comes over, keeping his eyes on Tamlin.

Smiling sweetly at the barkeep as he brought them their cider Tamlin thanked him and took a large swig of her drink before responding to Baptiste. "oh nothing, everything is fine. Gonna have your cider? It's quite good." Her voice was cold as she brushed aside his query with sweet words. Avoiding eye contact she downed the rest of her cider and toyed with the handle for a bit. "This is indeed, really good. I think another is in order." Tamlin waved over the barkeep " We'll have another cider, and some milk for my furry friend here too." Picking up Alais from her shoulders and settling her in her lap Tamlin smiled at Alais's masked face "don't worry my little dear, I haven't forgotten about you."
Settling into the warm lap, Alais churred contentedly and waited expectantly for the offering of food.

With the information she needed gotten and the barman otherwise distracted Tsura went to make her leave. A quick sweep of the floor area revealed no Berit and the gypsy woman's heart leaped to her throat before she spotted the crimson feathered quail in a veiled strangers hand. Apparently she couldn't leave the little fluffyball alone for a minute before she went begging.
" I hope Berit isn't causing you trouble" she said softly after making her way over to the stranger.
Berit twisted her head back and forth trying to watch the two women talking. The little quail with no intentions of moving back towards Tsura just yet though, there still might be food with this one.

Leshya'e finished her cider, nodding to Guillermo as he excused himself. Looking back at Roggan, she took a deep breath to build up her courage, then hopped off the stool and headed over to him. She knelt slightly next to him and placed a hand lightly on his shoulder, "Excuse me...I noticed you were looking for something...would you like an extra set of hands to help?"

Tsura nodded as she reached out and took the softly peeping quail back " She can be that way when she's in the mood." Not that Tsura ever had a clue what Berit was saying. " I'm sorry I can;t stay perhaps I will see you around again before I leave." It was nice to chat but she really did need to get that rotten apple for Mama becuase she really did need to get those two wheels replaced.

Menelie Baptiste blinks softly and nods, taking a swill of the sweet, heady cider. No matter what she said, something was definitely bothering Tamlin. He just had to figure out what it was before she caused grevious bodily harm to either of them. Cripes, women were difficult.

Hinoicarri "Ah thank you," Tamlin thanked the server who brought their next round of drinks and poured Alais's milk into a bowl so she could drink it easier. "Now, why would I be offended?" Tamlin's eyebrow rose to match her sarcasm " I'm sitting here enjoying a drink of delicious cider with a dear friend and wagon mate along with my sweet 'coon who seems to have adopted me for companionship. However, perhaps I was disturbing you? You seemed to have been deeply engaged when I arrived." Her gaze drifted off slightly towards the tavern keep's daughter. ((Not that I'd know or anything. xP))

"I. What! No!" Tamlin stuttered loudly at Baptiste's accusation while Mama Paretta's words ran through her mind I see...jealousy.... "What are you saying? What should I understand?" No, no no! Not possible! I'm just upset that he was being such a lech. It wasn't that she was pretty, or that he had ignored me. It just wasn't proper behavior for being in public! Why did jealousy have to matter at all!
Taking her mug in both hands she placed it heavily down on the table in front of her. Muttering over it angrily, she sharply queried Baptiste, "Why would I be jealous? And what in the world is different with women?"

"It's just...I'd thought we'd made it fairly clear that we were sharing space, and nothing more." He shrugs helplessly. "I felt that meant I was allowed to pursue other women if I was so inclined. However, the fact that you seem terribly upset that I was flirting with the lovely Vara suggests that...either you feel some proprietary ownership of me...." He grins a roguish grin. "Or that you wish me to spend the rest of my nights alone with only my thoughts. Perhaps both," he adds as an afterthought.

"well, you have the relationship right, we share a space. I have no desire to be proprietary over you" Tamlin replied to Baptiste, her tone dangerously low and her eyes flaring. Neither of which concealed the rosy blush his teasing had brought out on her cheeks. "And I am not upset that you were... flirting... BUT with the flagrant manner thereof!" She delivered a piercing glare to punctuate her statement "There is no need to dandle every pretty girl on your knee." Rising abruptly from her chair, Tamlin took a few steps to stand next to Baptiste and whispered into his ear. "How you spend your nights is your own affair. I'll have none of it. And I am NOT jealous!" Tamlin proclaimed as she dumped the remainder of her cider over his head and stormed out of the building, Alais bounding after her.
