You know you're a band geek when you arrive half an hour early to a game and your there before your band director. (wasn't me...but a friend of mine whose in band.)

When your weekends consist of being at festival for nine or ten hours, and you consider that your day off.
When you're in the band room almost as much as your band director because neither of you ever go home before football games. :l
...at least being there so much gives me an excuse to practice on the good instruments >>

You know your a band geek when you get rained out at the football game and your stuck inside the smelly, moldy choir room with the rest of the band so each section sings their part to the songs you were going to play anyways to pass the time. ((TRUE STORY!!!!! HAPPENED FRIDAY NIGHT!!!!!))

You know your a band geek when:
-you march in step with your friends in the hallways
-you run in step with your friends during gym class warm ups
-you mark time with other peoples show music
-you keep time with other band's cadences
-band camp is the highlight of your summer
-you can recognize dinkles 200 yards away
-you play your stand music for fun
-you always roll step, or backmarch
and many, many more. lolz.

...When you see one of those terrible"Percusion" Class kids that always are playing on things with their crappy drum sticks and think "I could go over there right now and play a lick from our cadence and totally blow him away"...and then you walk over to them and you rip the drumsticks out of their hands and play it...and totally blow them away. XD I never knew diddles were so mesmerizing.
Also when you [slash]can't[/slash]wont go to a movie with your friends because you want to finish learing a rudiment.

When you're in the middle of english, and you grab a pencil and 'air-flute' in class. In front of everyone. And you don't notice... Actually happened to me today!

Mellophone Mafia when people ask you if you're in band, and you just stare at them and finally say 'no, really? What was you're first hint?' when you can actually say 'This one time, at band camp,' and actually have a story. when you eat at the band table at lunch. when your non-band friends plan birthday parties around your band schedule, knowing where your priorities lie. when you carry marching shoes around with you all day in your bag. when you change your Gaia Username to have something to do with your instrument. you name your uniform/garment bag/instrument.
you randomly jam out to past themes and your friends join in. when your sick all day and miss school, but yet you still come to band practice.
and yes band camp was the highlight of my summer. :]
