Xander groaned and coughed again. "I don't wanna rest." he said, bringing a heavy hand up to feel at the bandage around his head. Shiiiit.
"Ow, hey-babe-" he said as Kylie touched a sore spot on his neck.
He saw Finchy come in and look at it. He cleared his throat again, trying to wave them off. He coughed again. "Feels like a regular cut to me." He said feeling it himself, turning his head so that it was against the pillow.
Enough poking please.
"Hm. Well, I'd like to take a look at it later or something." Finch said. "You remember anything?" Xander looked at him, then the ceiling, trying to think back. "Yeah." he said, wishing that he couldn't. It was pretty clear he wasn't up for talking about it right now.

Kylie pulled her hand back from him. "It doesn't look like a regular cut," She sighed when he turned his head.
"Yeah, later would be best I guess." Finch excused himself after Xander answered, knowing he didn't want to talk about t.
"Babe, can you tell me anything? I'm.. I'm really scared." She muttered that last part. Being scared was not something she was on a regular basis. And she hadn't to admit it.
But right now, she was terrified. Scared shitless. Her arm drapped over him carefully and she rested back on the headboard. "I know.. I know you don't really want to discuss it.." She sighed. "But there's things we need to know if we're gonna beat them."

Xander looked up at Kylie as she spoke.
She was scared? He didn't know the girl had that emotion in her.
"You've got nothin to be scared of, and theres nothin to discuss." he said, quietly, but straight-forward.
He grit his teeth and winced as he pushed his hands against the bed and moved himself back, to sit up next to her, leaning back against the headboard. He let out a sharp breath of air as he relaxed, as if he had just run a marathon or something. Xander rested his hands in his lap and shut his eyes as his leant back.
"They're just sickos who found out about us." he said softly, trying to sound convincing. "They must've gotten what they wanted out of me-" he said, grimacing a little, "-else they wouldn't have left me there would they."
Xander shut his eyes unwillingly again. God he was so tired. But the darkness was slightly scary for him, and he wanted to keep his eyes open. Or rather, eye, open.

Kylie shook her head. "What did they do to you? Thats what I want to know." She knew he had been hit badly in the side of his head, but his neck too?
That much, she hadn't witnessed.
She winced as he started to move to sit up. Her arms flying off him, as to not hurt him further.
"Xander.. relax.. you shouldn't move.." She sighed and looked at the figure beside her.
He looked so damned exhausted.
"Or they're using you to get to the rest of us." She bit her bottom lip and took his hand gently in her own.
"Listen, I ... just rest okay? I won't leave your side I swear."

Xander cleared his throat, coughing again.
He attempted a smile. "You know what I wanna know?" he asked, looking at the blonde. "Why half my head is covered up a bloody bandage." he sighed and looked back to his lap.
"Who knows. I could have like a terminator style look going on." he started, lifting his hand up an trying to pull at the white fabric, but with no luck. He gave up and dropped his hand back down to the bed. Ow. Xander looked down at their hands as she took his gently. "You have such soft hands. You know that?" he said, holding onto hers as much as he could, though it looked and felt like not a lot.

Kylie winced at every cough. "Hm?" He didn't know why his head was bandaged? Did he not remember that much?
She sighed softly as he tried to remove his bandage. She nearly smacked his hand away, but he failed. "Hey, don't do that." Then she giggled softly, actually giggled.
"Riiiight. You totally pull it off too." Then his hand barely grasped hers. But it was okay, as long as they were intertwined it didn't matter.
"Well, I use lotion like its going outta style. I better have soft hands." She turned and smiled at him, running her thumb over his hand.
She kissed his lips gently, "But you have really soft lips." She licked ehr own before resting back against the headboard.

Xander half laughed and half coughed at her comment.
He loved that saying. Totally funny. He shut his eyes momentarily when she kissed him gently. He appreciated how careful she was being with him, but he hated how weak he was feeling right now.
"Yeah. That just comes naturally." he joked, licking his own lips.
Xander sighed and leant back slowly against the headboard. Not that it was comfortable or anything. Nothing felt too comfortable right now. Apart from maybe his hand. He groaned and pushed himself off the headboard so he was sitting up properly. He let go of her hand and turned, swinging his legs off the bed and onto the ground, pulling out another painful sound out of him.
He kept his hands down on the bed either side of him and shut his eyes for a second. After a sudden flash in his head of a dark face, booming over him, he opened his eyes.
Headache.

Kylie winced, again. Everytime he coughed or looked pained she felt it too. She sighed softly and ran her thumb over his hand again.
"Well, its greatly appreciated." She laughed softly. But then he was moving around and then he was swinging his legs off the edge of the bed and moving away from her.
The blonde popped up and crawled over to him, still on the bed. "Hey hey hey, no. No. You lay back down. If you need something, I'll get it. You're supposed to be resting." She kissed the side of his cheek before nudging him to rest.

Xander grit his teeth.
He didn't want to rest. He didn't feel like resting. The light kiss on his cheek calmed him down a notch. Xander sighed and kept his hands down either side of him. "I really don't feel like resting Ky.." he said quietly. Sure, he was tired, and everything hurt. But he didn't want to close his eyes just yet. One thing he remembered vividly while lying on that cold metallic table, unable to see anything but darkness, was the constant thinking, or praying rather, of "Please let me see, please let me see."

Kylie shook her head. "Doesn't matter. You don't have to sleep. Just lay here with me, okay?" She ran her fingers gently down his arm.
Her hand resting at his, tangling with his fingers softly. "Please? Come on.. I don't want you anymore hurt than you already are okay?" Another gentle kiss to the cheek before she moved back to the top of the bed.
"Come on, we'll just lay here and talk or something, alright?"

Xander sighed in defeat as she ran her fingers down his arm and into his hand.
He turned to look at her with a slight frown then nodded. "..Okay."
She kissed him on the cheek them moved back to the top of the bed. He pushed down on the bed and picked his legs back up and moved back to lean against the headboard next to her.
"..What d'you wanna talk about?" he asked, maybe a little too bluntly.

Kylie looked over at him with a sigh. "I don't know.." She muttered as she looked away.
Her stomach was churning. This was scary, really scary. They had just left Xander there for them to find him? That wasn't right. It just seemed a bit on the fishy side.
Its like, why take him then leave him?..
She bit her bottom lip, lost in thought for a moment. They had wanted er too, and probably Lex and Konner now as well.
They wouldn't just go off without a fight.
She forced herself back to reality.
"You're the one who doesn't wanna sleep..I just suggested talking.." She looked over at him.

Xander sighed and looked down.
He was being disgustingly rude. And he knew it. "I'm sorry." he said quickly, though it was almost inaudible. "I, just, ..I'm just so tired." he said, looking back up at the blonde. "But I'm afraid to close my eyes." he said. Feeling both eyes sting up from tears, threatening to make an appearance. Ugh. He felt pathetic right now. Pathetic. Tired. Weak. Angry.
Yeah. All of those feelings meshes into one. Damnit! He was in the state of mind equal to that of a pubescent teenage girl!

"I understand that you're tired." Kylie sighed, not really catching his apology.
"Come here," She put her arm around him, holding him to her again. She moved up, allowing his head to rest on her chest.
She combed her fingers gently through his hair again.
"I won't leave your side okay? I'll be right here, holding you just like this when you wake up."
Her voice softened even more. "Besides. You still owe me another hot night, so you have to rest up." She smiled a bit, leaning over to kiss his ear.

Xander moved towards her as she put an arm around him and held him to her.
She was combing her fingers lightly through his hair and right now, he couldn't have asked for much else. "Okay." he said, clearing his throat and nodding. Please dont let her leave me. Was the silent prayer currently running through his head.
He smirked and let out a strained laugh as she so informed him that he still owed her another hot night. Damn right he did. Xander felt for one of her hands, and held it, bringing it to his face and pressing a light kiss to it. "Thankyou." he said quietly, meaning it. He moved down the bed a little bit so he was laying back a little more comfortably, lying with his head resting in her lap. As much as he'd prefer not to be consumed by the darkness of sleep, he reluctantly dropped off into la-la land soon enough.

Attempting to explain how they ended up with their abilities to Finch was proving harder than Alexis and Konner thought it would. For them, throughout their whole life, it'd just been fact, after fact, after fact. No questions like, 'why them.' or 'what for.' let alone, 'anyone else?'
But all Finch seemed to be worried out was finding out why they all had powers that intially either proved a protection from other people, or an attack for other people. After a long winded and confusing conversation, Finch gave up, retiring to one of the rooms upstairs.
Alexia and Konner sighed, looking at one another with a sort of mutual understanding. Alexis got up off the couch and walked over to the room where Xander and Kylie were. She poked her head in through the door and gave a smile. "How's he holding up?" she asked first, but then before the other blonde could reply, she added another, possibly more appropriate question, "How're you holding up?" she asked, at which point, Konner also came over to stand in the doorway, stifling a yawn himself.
