colossians 3:8. for the swearing bit of it. 1st Corinthians chapter 8 clearly states that if your actions cause another to stumble, that action should be halted immediately. For what is not a stumbling block to you, may cause another believer to stumble and fall. And filthy language is called filthy because that's all it is. And whenever you're filthy, you clean yourself up, (I hope), and so if your language is filthy, it's time to get a new vocabulary.
ALSO. For this whole vampire yell-a-thon: Vampires symbolize one thing for one person, and another thing for another person. You can only take out of something what you put into it. If you put SO much meaning into vampires, they will be turn into the most evil thing you could ever think up, if you put NO energy into it, they will become nothing to you. It's only what you put into it.
GODS AND IDOLS ARE NOT THE SAME THING.
Gods are any other thing we put our energy into an equal or greater amount than God himself. Also, polytheism breaks the first commandment as well. THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD. Idols are graven images, think of that. God wants us to worship him, not the picture of him, or something that symbolizes him. Though images are the right idea, they are just that, images. Our focus should be on God, not the image of God.
Also, I go to a school full of drug addicts and alcoholics as well, what you should do, is get a pocket new testament. Helped me out very much. And no matter where you are, there is always someone to talk to that isn't like the rest of them. Believe me, it takes a bit of work to find that person, or people, but they are THERE.

Believer of God Heres the thing. I go to school with a bunch of druggies, alcohalics, cussers, and even a few killers. I have been offered quite a few illegal drugs, some ciggerettes, and its easy for me to get some pot if I wanted it. I know Jesus doesn't approve of this behavior. And I will never do any drugs, but I keep falling into darkness. I try to stay up with Jesus, but its hard. I don't want to have to ditch my friends, but I think I might have to. Its very painful, but I think they are holding me back. They arent Christians, and they even make fun of me, calling me a stupid Bible Thumper. They make fun of God infront of me, even if I ask them to stop. But My point is that I keep cussing, and listening to satan music and i think vampires are amazing. Its wrong. But no matter how hard i pray, i cant tear from my life, and walk with Jesus. (before you say anything about liking vampires are okay, its not. Jesus would not drink blood, or any of that. vampires are demons, demons that are possesing the teens of this generation. Satan is everywhere, and we have to tear from this.) You know, it's not your fault... Demons are trying to distract people, to manipulate peoples thoughts and keep them away from God's love... Demons can't posses people unless they give them permission... But do you accept that Jesus saved you? Then why in heaven's name do you pull so hard on yourself? It's not your fault. God said in Romans 8; 'There is nothing you can do to make Me love you less...' Even not drugs or knives or the fact that you think vamps are cool... Really nothing can make God love you less... You're His child, my sister in Christ and I love you like I love myself... It's not your fault... God begs for you to let it go...

Didn't God say that he'll protoct his children? And, didn't God say that the once who believe in Him will face eternity? Now people can say what they want but I think that being attracted by vamps or things like that isn't such a big deal in God's eyes. If you still have strong faith in Him, what do you fear? He said that people who believe in Him will face eternity. I think God's love goes much deeper then we think. Why would God care about the things we wear or do or something like that, if God can see in the deepest depth of our hearts?
And if I'm wrong, I'll be screwed. XD Cause I've got an vamp skull on my room. XP But I know I'm right cause I believe it. =3
That's the only reason I need.
