James, stealthy as could be, moved up behind Athena then. And he put a hand on her shoulder. He had no hostel intentions, and that was clear. He simply wanted her attention before he began speaking.
"A moment of your time, dear lady, in privet if you please? I'd like a word with you."

With the trucked stopped David and McLock jumped out breaking off and moving with the crowds. "Well now what?" "Look for the girl of course." Mclock said as if they could just scan real quick to find her. In reality looking for the girl would be an insanely difficult task. They were drowning in a crowd of people that went on and on in every direction. "So I guess we are splitting up Sgt. ?" "Seems like the best way to go." The two quickly broke and moved off in opposite directions.
David had to push and shove his way through the dense crowd loading off the trucks. He walked for some time till he noticed the jeep he'd seen the woman get into, but was no longer in. He made his way over to the empty car climbing ontop of it. He seeped the crowed over from his new vantage point. He finally spotted her or at lest he assumed it was her in the distance. He jumped down and began to push his way towards her.

Never. Ever. Try sneaking up on a Goddess. More than one mortal had been killed that way. Athena was doubly as dangerous, as she grabbed the man's arm and twisted him into a self-defensive throw to the ground. She wasn't a warrior goddess for show, at least.
"Don't, interrupt. I've already talked with your commander. Have him sent to me if he has any more complaints." As if nothing happened, Athena stood back up, and moved towards the holding tent with the rest of the mortals.

Nikolaos sat in his office still, writing up a report for his superiors regarding various events that day, including the archeological incident, when a fresh report came in over his official military email. Opening it up, he reads it over.
"Bah, Kanelos... Why did they send him? He's never good in situations with civilians, they know that..." he mutters as he reads. He had to agree, it did appear as though something odd was afoot with this case, though. He made note of the photograph of this Athene woman. He wasn't sure if she really had any significance, but only time could tell.
Then another message came in. "Wait, what is this?" he mutters under his breath, wondering why this additional part of the report would be sent in separately. In fact, it didn't even come from Kanelos, but apparently part of the field crew that had been sent out. "I'm going to have to have a talk about how to use the military network, it seems," he sighs, opening it up.
There was but a simple message, first explaining that a hiker had been found in the area who had apparently taken a photograph of the scene from afar once the disaster had taken place. The second part simply recited an attached image's metadata, the sort assigned an image by various popular brands of digital cameras. The sort that gave each picture a date, time, and information regarding alterations. The message indicated that nothing was out of the ordinary with this metadata--it came directly off the camera to their computer, and then straight to him. The time the picture was taken was perfectly in sync with the time of the accident. It had to be genuine.
Opening the attachment, General Alexandros instantly recognizes why this image had been sent straight to him, and not through official channels. Perhaps these men were smarter than he'd given them credit for.
"What the holy Hell is this...?" he says, first being confused, and then shocked when the implications of this image fell upon him. He looked at the photo that accompanied the official report. Then back at this new one.
Shutting down his laptop immediately, he closes it and gets up. Picking up his phone, white as a sheet, he quietly murmurs, "Corporal... Get me a ride. The first and fastest you can. Where? The disaster site. Why? Don't ask me that, just do it."
He makes his way out of his office in quite the power walk, wasting no time. He had to see this for himself.

And in a very clam manner, a leg came flying into the back of Athena's knee's, taking her center of gravity out from under her. "That's not my commander. Hell, I don't even really have a commander. I need to talk with you, because I've got a feeling there's more to what you know, and what you can do, then you've shown."
As he spoke, he moved to land on top of her back, and put her arm in what she had to admit was an extreamly good joint lock by mortal standards.
"Or am I wrong? Oh, and that was a hell of a throw, I'm thoroughly impressed dear lady. Prey tell, who taught you to fight like that?"

"I invented it," She said, breaking the joint lock with the swiftest of ease. As a crowd of soldiers gathered around, she worked along his arm, first his hand broke in ten places, followed by his wrist, his arm, and dislocating his shoulder. To add insult to injury, her nimble returns did the same on the other arm, before snapping the arms around each other in a pretzel knot behind his back. Compound fractures protruded in numerous places as she gently pressed down into the man's leg, forcing him to a kneel.
"I have no business with you. Next time you perform a cowardly attack to me while my back is turned, you will die." She calmly broke through the ring of onlookers, and into the tent with the rest of the dig crew.
(Oh dear, the goddess has made a scene. Whatever shall she do against the next person to try to attack her from behind?)

David cringed a bit at the sound of the man's arm being placed in a rather unnatual state. He made a mental note to never attempt hand to hand with her. He was rather attached to his arms. As he watched her enter into a tent he pulled out a small tranqulizer pistol. Each shot was strong enough to take down an elephant and would kill a normal person. However then had established that she certainly wasn't normal. He moved casually passed the man now on the ground and into the tent behind the woman. He was unnoticed at least for the moment and he wasn't going to announce his presents. He quickly brought his pistol to level and at a rather close range fired. He fired right into her back only a mere two feet away from him, there was no way he could miss. All he had to do was let the dart do its work then they could take her back to base.

A loud "whush" from the tranq's barrel, as a bunch of screams echoed from the civilians in the tent. The force wasn't exactly enough to do much to Athene, but it did catch her off balance and in mid sentence, as the needle hit her skin and richocheted off to the back of the tent. As she twisted, she fell to the ground, as the civilians were in a mix of shock and awe. One or two tried to lift her, but found that her body was heavy as lead, barely capable of picking it up, only successful in rolling her over onto her back.
"You shot her!" one cried.

It took all of about ten seconds for three soldiers to enter the tent. With two at the entrance, one steps forward and booms, "Alright, everyone stay calm! What happened here!?"
He hadn't gotten to see the face of the impostor just yet.

"People, people calm down. It was just a tranquilizer, she is fine. I was simply sedating the woman. She was resisting arrest for acts of violence, and just broke a man's arm out side this very tent." As he explained the imaginary situation to the people in the tent soldiers appeared in the tent behind him. Aw s**t! David had to think fast this wasn't going exactly to plan. He turned to the soldiers as fast as he could with a smile on his face he pulled them in close so he could keep what he said rather private. "This woman attack a man just outside the tent then attempted to attack me when I asked her to come with me for questioning on the matter. I sedated her with this." He showed the men the gun. "See nothing. So if you would like to help me move her that would be great." Alright he was going way out onto a limb here, but it was the best he could think of.
(What would it matter if they saw his face?)

((Very simple...))
"...Who are you? You're not part of our unit," the soldier asks, quite sternly. The face he was staring down wasn't one he recognized. What he did recognize, however, was the uniform. "You are wearing my teammate's uniform, but you're obviously not him. Men, take him; Kanelos is going to want to meet this guy."
It was then the two other soldiers stepped forward to "escort" David.

"All we saw was her walking in, and a loud bang, and then she fell to the ground. And look, no needle wound!" The men said, flipping Athena over as she groaned. There was nothing stuck in her back, as she picked herself up.
"Ach.... What hit me," she muttered.
"Poor woman has a concussion from the blast so close to her body, probably!"

Kneeling down, the first soldier puts his hand on Athene's shoulder in an effort to comfort her. "Don't worry, apparently we've got some creep sneaking around here. We're detaining him now, so you're safe."
Looking over beside her, he sees the tranquilizer dart, with bent needle. "Well, that's really something. You must be lucky!" he says, picking it up with his gloved hand. "We'll need this as evidence. You get some rest, though. You just had quite the ordeal, here."
