Amme couldn't help but feel her heart rapidly beat in her chest. Atem's voice was always so calming and gentle towards her. She knew he had a more domineering voice when he had to use it, but she knew he had to, he was Pharaoh. But when he was with her, his voice made her feel safe. Everything was going so well today until a guard came into Amme's room.
"Lady Ammeterasu, have you...." he said but stopped when he saw the Pharaoh. "My Pharaoh, there you are. We were looking for you. I have come to inform you that our guards have captured Touzoku Bakura and he is in our dungeons unconscious as we speak," he said as he got on one knee and bowed to him. "We need you and the other priests and priestesses in the throne room for his judgment. Lady Ammeterasu, they have asked me to tell you to stay here. Touzoku Bakura is very dangerous and because you cannot see, you could be in danger," he said.
"Is anyone hurt?" she first asked receiving a 'no' for an answer. She then shook her head, "Then it is more of a reason for me to be there. If he is that dangerous than I should do my duty and standby the Pharaoh and the Priests incase someone is hurt. I'm the Pharaoh's healer, what good is it for me to stay in my room?" She was not afraid of being in danger, the reason she was brought here was to heal people who were hurt, especially the Pharaoh and consul. "Besides, I can take care of myself just as well thank you," she added with a smile.
The guard thought for a moment, he did not want any harm to come to his Pharaoh, let alone anything worse. "Very well, we need you both to come now though," he said urging them to come.
The girl was obviously hurting from her spell before. He picked her up holding her waist between his waist and arm while running toward the direction she told him to. When they reached the hidden passage he put her down and waited for her to open the door. The guards were at his cell and saw their was no Bakura. They yelled and screamed that he had escaped. He couldn't help but let out a dark cackle. "I told you fools that no one could hold Touzoku Bakura. Now as you search for me you will see that something of priceless value has been taken from you," he said to them, mocking them. The guards looked around confused, unknowing where the sound was coming from since it echoed through out the whole dungeon. He snickered and waited for the door to open.

Eros held in a laugh as she held up her millennium rose the eye of Horus appeared on her forehead in a faint yellow glow as her item lit up slightly. the passage opened silently. Eros took Bakura's hand and led him down the pitch black tunnel. "such brainless fools." she said as she laughed once the made it outside she pulled her hood back up she then leaned against the now sealed wall as she whistled. "I noticed how you fancied my horse earlier." she smirked as he came trotting over "trained him myself...oh and thank you for allowing me to go with you."
Atem got up with Amme he then heard the cry of alarm "what's going on?!" he asked in a firm and demanding voice as the guards from the dungeon came running up to the captain.

Amme also heard the scream and quite clearly. "We need to go!" she said knowing they had to get to the dungeon as soon as possible. There was another guard that came up to them telling Ammeterasu to hold onto his hand as they guided her to the dungeon with the others. They all ran down there to watch as the door closed and the guards unable to get through.
A guard answered Atem's answer. "My King, Bakura is no where to be in sight. Then the door opened by itself. But nobody was there! It was like he was invisible," he said. Amme let go of the guard as he called out, "Lady Ammeterasu no! We don't know where that man is!"
"I never know where anyone is by sight! But I sense someone's presence!" she said running toward the door, keeping one hand in front of her and the other against the side of the wall so she knew where she was going. Once at the door she touched it and concentrated. She placed her ear against it, trying to hear but couldn't. She then felt something, other then the mysterious man. She fell to her knees and continually patted the wall. She began to breath heavily a little from fright. "Where is Eros?" she said with her hands shaking. She could sense that she was there from her scent, but now she could not sense her nearby at all. She knew Eros was back in the Palace because she could feel her aura. But now she couldn't feel her. And since this door could only be opened with a Millennium Item, and she smelt her, Eros was gone.
Amme thought that Eros had been taken, she didn't know that she felt on her own free will. She teared a little bit, hearing no one answer her she turned around and yelled, "Why is nobody doing anything!? Where is Eros!? I don't feel her in the Palace anymore! Don't just stand there! Go and find her!" She was hoping she was wrong and Eros was somewhere still within the Palace. But truth was that she was right, Eros was gone.
He loved how simple it was to lose those guards. However, he thought that he saw them notice them when the door closed. Oh well, they couldn't get them with out the Pharaoh which would take some time. "We need to keep moving," he said taking her arm and pulling her with him. Bakura did fancy her horse, he was the strongest within the stable. He pet the horse a little then put her on top first then got on secondly. "He is a good horse," he said in a low voice. He cracked the reins and the two of them flew off into the desert. Bakura paused when she thanked him for letting her come with him. "You're welcome, but be prepared to work for me. My men were killed by those palace guards. I guarantee the ones that got away went back to the hide out to grab what they could and run off. Low life bastards. However, there is one man there that is loyal, hopeful he made sure they did not touch my things. I also have a feeling some men who stayed behind are now gone due to the cowards that came back to take what they could. I'll have to start again," he said cursing those guards for fouling his plans. He didn't even get any treasure and lost some of his own weapons. However, at least he had this girl now. She was a skilled magician. It also satisfied him to know that it would anger the Pharaoh dearly.

"I'm sorry for causing such loss. but yes I will work for you and help you restore your clan. It's the least I can do." she smiled as she was finally able to relax some and begin to recuperate. "finally free..." she sighed as she leaned into Bakura slightly, sensing she could trust him.
Atem stood there frozen with his eyes wide "no.." he whispered before going over to Amme and lifting her up gently "you can tell she's been through there?" he asked softly "what emotions remain that you can feel?" he asked, he wanted to know how bakura got to her.

Amme felt Atem come closer to her and then lift her up gently. "Yes, she was here. Her essence is still here. I wouldn't be able to feel it if it was a long time ago as well," she said. She focused to try to feel what happened. "I can't feel distress. Eros didn't feel like she was forced. But I feel like someone is in physical pain. There is also eagerness," she said.
"The guards beat Touzoku Bakura practically to death before he got here. Even if he did escape he couldn't have gotten far," he said.
"You did what!?" Amme said turning around to yell at the guard. "How could you beat a man to death?!" she yelled.
"But Lady Ammeterasu, do you not know of the man's crimes? It was the only way to get him here," he said.
"Did you beat him even after he was unconscious?" she said narrowing her eyes. She did not believe in such torment, no matter who the person was. But now that she knew that, how did he escape with Eros? She turned toward Atem and looked distressed, something wasn't right.
Bakura could tell Eros was quite happy with running away with him. But why? Any other girl would be petrified to be with him, to have been kidnapped. Did Eros have a spirit like his? Did her brother and the consul truly hurt her so because of her blood? It made him rage more inside. Did blood matter to them so much that they would shun one of their own? "What will the Pharaoh do now that you are gone?" he asked curiously. There was no way he would ever give her back to them. As far as he considered, she was now his. She was an interesting girl, somehow both of their souls seemed to vibrate to one another. But Touzoku Bakura was a hardened and disturbed man, could he even warm up to another human being? He's never been close to another person before, not since he was a child. After a long ride they finally reached the hide out. He jumped off of the horse and offered help for Eros, was she still hurt like before?

Eros seemed almost completely healed "I really don't know. I just know he wont be happy." she said with a happy smile before taking his hand just to be nice and hopped down. she the pulled back her hood "just one thing... please don't treat me like I'm your property and other than that we're good." she pet her horse before looking around to mentally map everything
Atem glared at the head guard "never and I repeat never let any of your men beat any man or woman within an inch of their life. and that includes you. if you catch your men doing it or you know of it you will disband them or I'll replace you along with them. do I make myself clear Captain?" Atem spoke sternly.

"Y-yes my Pharaoh," the captain said bowing to him. He commanded his men to look around the palace, around the village, and into the desert for Eros.
Amme was glad that Atem took her side in the argument. It was the one this that upset her was how criminals were treated. But she had no say in such laws, especially since she was not of royal blood. "Pharaoh, what will we do now?" she said knowing she had to call him by his title since others were around.
A messenger came down to the jail in haste. "My Pharaoh," he said bowing to him, "the consul has asked for your immediate presence. It for an emergency meeting about what happened down here." He then looked at Amme and said, "I'm sorry Lady Amme, they told me you were not needed at the consul."
"I see, that's fine," she said. The consul usually did not like her in on their meetings. But because of her role she did have to be there sometimes. "Then I shall wait until I am needed," she said.
[[I think I am going to cause a little bit of trouble for Amme in the next few posts]]
"Even if he tries to find you, he'll never get you back. Even if you decide to go back, I won't allow it. I'm sorry," he said. He couldn't know that she knew where his hide out was. He looked at her when she said not to treat her like property. "Fine then," he said agreeing to her as they walked into the underground hideout. As he guessed, it was trashed. There were only a few people there that remained, they tried to clean up the place. There were others that were wounded from the frantic cowards. "Zeres, where is he?!" Bakura howled in anger.
"Touzoku, what the hell happened? Do you have any idea what it was like in here? What could you have possibly done to your men to piss them off so much that they ransack this place and leave?" Zeres said not happy with what had happened.
"The men were caught and killed by the guards. Those who escaped came back like cowards and took off with our stuff," he said explaining himself. "And I was caught as well, so DON'T think I let my men die!" he snapped at him before he could assume anything. "Please tell me nobody entered my room," he said growling.
"Heavens no! You think these men had that much of a death wish? They new you would be after them if they did such a thing," he said. He looked at the girl who was behind Bakura. "So you get caught and you bring back no treasure, but you have time to pick up a woman for your entertainment? I'm shocked Bakura, I'd expect it out of the other men but not you. Unless it was that traumatizing," he said smirking.
"Zeres, shut up or I'll cut your throat open," he said pointing at him. "This is a new recruitment. She wants in on our trade," he said to him. He then raised his voice so the others could hear, "And I'll make this quite clear to everyone here, you do not talk to her, pester her, or touch her. Failure to do so and I'll break each of your fingers slowly."
"My my sir. I find it hard to believe you would let a woman join. But why the added protection?" he asked just to be a smart a**.
"Keep it up and she'll have your position and you'll be scrounging out there like a dog," he threatened him.
Zeres could take death threats from Bakura but not position threats. He made the gesture that his lips were sealed and continued cleaning up the place.
"I'll set you up with a room," he said leading her into his own room. He had a spare room within his room almost as large as his main room. That would be her's now. "You don't talk to those men, they are ruthless and would enjoy doing the worse of things to you," he said warning her.

Eros nodded "I'll keep that in mind." she chuckled knowing very well she could handle them if needed. the rooms were more simple and not so extravagant, and she welcomed the change. "after living all my life in that palace, I quite welcome just a simple room she followed him into the other room which would be hers.
Atem nodded "very well." he then headed off to the consul's meeting room. when he entered he took his spot at the table "what is so much more urgent than my sister's safe return?" he asked a little irritably as he began to rub his temples.

Amme walked out of the dungeon and into the courtyard. She would try and meditate. Clearing her thoughts could perhaps sharpen her senses and maybe be able to find Eros. Maybe. It was a long stretch and highly unlikely. But it was the only thing she could think of. She walked onto a grassy area and kneeled down, beginning to meditate.
There was a group of girls walking in the court yard. They were daughters to royalty. They chattered about what they heard- about Eros. They saw Amme sitting there in the grass. "Now if only he would have taken the other slave blood out of here this Palace would truly be cleansed," the leader of the group said while the others just laughed.
Amme sighed, she could feel these girls near by. They were a few of the same people who picked on her when she was younger. There were others as well, many others, but most of them had forgotten or now treated Amme with respect. "I thought I heard a slithering snake," she said not bothering to turn around.
"Well that's the only way you could know we're here. Afterall, you can't see use," she said.
"I don't need sight to know where people are. And by the way, my parent's weren't slaves," she said staying calm though she still defended herself.
"Maybe not, but that b*****d girl had slave blood in her. But it doesn't matter because that thief probably took her, raped her, and killed her by now. Good riddance," she said as the other girls laughed.
Amme swung her head around to face them as she scowled at them. "How dare you! When the Pharaoh hears of this then you all will pay dearly!" she yelled at them. She was upset enough as it is, she didn't need these harpies adding anymore to the situation.
"You'll never have chance to tell him," she said smirking.
Seth looked at Atem, obviously he was upset about what happened. "My Pharaoh, we called this meeting to discuss just that. Our men are already searching for Eros as we speak. It was confirmed that she is no longer in the Palace nor the village. They are rechecking both as we speak," he said. "We also want to discuss the reasoning behind the incident. The consul and the priests are all very curious as to how Touzoku Bakura escaped. He was unconscious and beaten so it would be impossible for him to even move. And yet, he was gone. Some guards even say that they heard his voice echoing through out the jail but they could no see him or your sister," he said.
He then looked at Atem and added, "As far as we know, Bakura has no magical training since he has never shown signs of offensive magic, even defensive. So we all wonder, how did this happen? How was Bakura able to regain his composure and escape? We only know of a few people who can heal, we already asked the others so now I ask you. First, Ammeterasu, a guard said that you were with her at the time of the incident. Is that true?" he said then waited. "Secondly, Eros. Do you know of any healing arts she has learned of?" he asked. Yes, the consul was assuming that Eros healed the Thief King.
Bakura's room was dark with luscious dark drapes around the room. His room was filled with the best furniture, treasures, and weapons. Eros' new room was empty at the time. "I'll get some men to fill your room with what ever you need. If we don't have it hear we can get it. But we have plenty of furniture and things," he said. "Yes, you won't have a room filled with gold unless you steal enough of it to fill it with," he said. He then walked to his door and called for Zeres. "Tell him what you want and he'll get it for you. This was the man I told you I would expect to still be here," he said.
"Flattered sir, really I am," he said jokingly. Out of all the men Zeres was the most loyal to Bakura. Touzoku saved him from death when he was younger and just a petty thief. He was going to be hung for stealing food in the next town over from the Kingdom's village. Bakura raided the area and cut him free from the rope. He still has the horrible mark from the rope that almost took his life. He dedicated his life to Bakura and his clan, he was his second hand man. "Sir, you said nobody could talk to the young lady," he said jokingly.
"You're really bustin' my balls at the wrong time Zeres. Not the right time at all," he said. "You can talk to her and she can talk to you. It's those other pigs I worry about," he said rubbing his head.
Zeres laughed. "So what'cha want in your room, Ms...?" he said never catching her name.

"Eros. oh and don't assume that I'm his toy because I'm not... We have a mutual understanding. As for being so protective I don't get as much." Eros sat on her bed "perhaps a dresser, i"ll obtain my own clothing. and I'll help move it in." as said with a small smile before she began arranging the candles in a more comfortable way for her. "by the way its nice to meet you Zeres. Despite what a smart a** you are." she said while standing up from her squatting position.
Atem shook his head "no, she never talks to me anymore about anything, so I wouldn't know. but the Invisibility sounds like her." he sighed, not wanting to believe it.

The lead girl then grabbed Amme by the arm roughly and pulled her up. "Remember when we were kids and that boy threw you down that shaft? You know, that secret one where the well used to be? Guess where you're going again!" she said.
Amme squirmed viciously repeatedly yelling 'no' when she heard what she said. Nobody else was around the area so no one could stop them from doing so. It's been a very long time since she was treated this way. As much as she struggled she couldn't break free. One of the girls covered her mouth so she couldn't yell anymore. Surely if a guard saw them they would stop them.
"Well little peasant, looks like we're here already, but you wouldn't be able to tell now would you?" she said laughing with the other girls. They opened up the door to reveal a deep shaft that had a steep slanted wall. "Maybe this time they won't find her," she said laughing as they pushed her down.
Amme felt herself fall but she rolled down the steep hill. When she hit the ground she gasped. She lied there on the cold ground shaking. She didn't know this place, she was only here one other time and could not remember the way around.
"You dare say anything about this when you get out, we'll make your life a living hell you dirty slave! You're not welcomed here!" she said as the girls laughed and closed the top only partially. They then walked away leaving her down in the old well.
Amme whimpered a little from the pain as she got up. She patted around the ground until she found the steep hill she fell down. She felt around the wall, looking for anything that could help her climb up. She couldn't it was far too hard. She was scared, it reminded her of the time as a child when she was thrown down here. They didn't find her for a good few hours. Except last time they closed the top completely. She thought that everyone was past all this, that people in the palace no longer thought of her this way. It's been about 2 years since the last snide remark let alone bullying. She waited until she thought they were gone. Then she called out for help, "Somebody! Help!" Her voice was cracked from fear and embarrassment. She couldn't believe she was being treated like this after all these years. She put her head against the slanted wall along with her body and whimpered a little to herself. She had forgotten over the years how fragile and down looked she was.
Seth nodded. "We won't know until we find them both. Like I said before, Bakura is not known for magic, but perhaps he could have put your sister under a spell if he has learned magic. Or he could have threatened her, forced her some how to help. Or he could even have played opossum and really wasn't passed out to begin with. We don't know this," he said trying to come up with solutions. "Is there anything you want to add to this? Anything you request us to do that we are not already doing?" he asked. Personally, Seth never looked down upon Eros, there was something about her that made him respect her just as much as he respected the Pharaoh himself. Other Priests like Mahado and Isis also respected Eros, but the others and the consul did not. They seemed quite bored with the subject while Seth, Mahado, and Isis were concerned. The others just wanted to know how to catch Bakura.
"Eros," he repeated. "Toy? Oh you mean from before," he said, "nah, Bakura never brings broads home with him anyway. Seriously, I tell him to go and find somebody but he never does. Figures he brings you here and you're a thief instead," he said smiling. He wrote down everything she wanted. "You don't have to help, don't worry about it. Besides, you should clean yourself up miss. Were you in a fight? Bakura did you save a damsel thief in distress?" he said however it was true that she should tend to some of the remaining wounds.
"Zeres, if you really want to know then I'll just have her kick your a** then. I bet she could too," Bakura said laying on his bed and putting his hands on his forehead rubbing it. "Would you stop questioning the girl and do as she and I say? And yes, she's not my toy, how many times do I tell you I'm not like those men out there? I don't go into villages to pilage and rape women for Ra sake! If that was the case then I would be a royal guard now wouldn't I?" he yelled at him.
Zeres looked at Eros, nope, she probably could kick his a**. He couldn't help but laugh at the royal guard joke. "We should just start calling you the 'Gentleman King Thief'," he said laughing. "Yea, nice to meet you. I can't help it, it's what happens when you hang around this place for too long," he said.
"Ok, that's it. Get out. I'm sick of you now," he said getting up and shoeing Zeres out of the room. "Told you I couldn't deal with your jackassery today, now get out!" he added shutting the door. He opened it again and yelled out, "And go get that stuff!" He closed the door and sighed.

Eros couldn't help but laugh as she found some Bandages and ointment. she then began to tend to what wounds she had left. she then lit a few candles as she sat cross legged on the bed "mediating would probably help that headache, or maybe some soft incense. It always help mine after spending hours of studying." she suggested with her eyes closed.
Atem sighed "I just want my sister back. safe and sound. and when we capture Bakura I'll deal with him myself.. I just hoped she was forced into helping him escape.."
A guard close by heard Amme's cries for help and rushed over to the covered shaft and pushed the lid off. "Lady Amme, I'll help you. he said as he stretched out his hands "reach upwars and I'll take your hands."

Seth looked at the other. There was some more controversy over the matter. They ordered more guards to search for Eros. They told them to focus on the desert rather then within the Kingdom's area. They also gave orders to Isis to try and use her Millennium Necklace to find Bakura, to see Eros' future. "There is one other issue to bring up," Seth said even though he could tell Atem was mentally exhausted, "it's about that other item being created. The orb. The sages are still analyzing it..."
He was then interrupted by a man from the consul. "Seth, you bring this matter up as if it is important. There is no one here that we can give the item to. Nobody who fits the criteria for it," the consul man said.
"Excuse me for saying so, but that's ignorantly untrue. We already know it's meant for someone with healing powers. And since Isis has her own item we should give it to the Pharaoh's healer," he said.
"And give another unpure blooded person an item? Even if Eros was forced to help Bakura he still has use of her item! Do you see why we fear giving these items to just anyone? Unpure blooded people cannot be trusted with these sacred items," he argued with Seth.
"How dare you! You mouth should be staked shut for such insulate words towards our Pharaoh's sister!" he yelled.
The man stood up and slammed his hands against the table, "Do you want to anger the gods more? Can't you see that this is punishment from above! And you want to repeat the same mistake again?! Eros was at least half royalty. What will happen if you give that peasant child that power! Besides, we don't know what other powers it holds. Do you feel safe knowing that risk?" The other consul men slightly moved away from the man that was arguing with Seth.
Amme wept for a while, periodically calling for help. Then finally somebody heard her cries and came to her. She turned her head up towards the sound. It sounded like a guard. She raised her hands up as he asked her to and looked around for his hands. She felt them and grabbed a hold of them. The guard pulled her out and made sure she was ok. Amme hugged the man showing her gratitude. She then backed away and gently felt the man's face. When she did not hang around somebody for a long time it was hard to figure out who they were by sense alone. However, her hands were like her eyes, she could remember faces by the shape. "I remember you, you were one of the boys who picked on me a long time ago," she said.
The guard froze a little. Yes, he did pick on her when they were children. "That was a long time ago Lady Amme, I have changed..." he said but was stopped.
Amme smiled as she stopped the boy, "I remember, you were also the boy who was hurt very badly in a fight. I was the one that cured you. After that you and many others let me be." She then paused and added, "I'm not mad at the things you did in the past. I just find it poetic that now I find myself being helped by many like you that were unaccepting in the past."
The guard smiled, "Well that's because most people matured since then. They've also seen the great good you have done and you're important role." He said then added, "But who did this?"
"It doesn't matter who. Thank you again for the help," she said bowing and then walking off.
Bakura looked over to see Eros preparing to meditate. "Do you believe in such things?" he asked. He then watched as she sat there quietly at first. He sat up and continued to watch curiously. He still couldn't believe in this girl, she wasn't even scared at all this whole change. Be it any other girl and they would be begging for their lives. But not her. "Why did you not fear me when I was in the village? Most others fear me but you did not. In fact, you followed me," he asked curiously.

"well for starters not many people or thing scare me. second I'm more than capable of defending myself. Next why should i fear a man who isn't much different from myself. lastly I'm the adventurous type." she opened one eye and looked at him with a smile "and besides you have yet to give me a reason to fear you." Eros chuckled, she then frowned as she felt the presence of the consul trying to find her. her item began to glow for a moment sending out mental lashes at Isis Mahado(sp) and who ever else dare use their items to find her. "The consul seems quite concerned with finding me." she sighed no longer able to concentrate and rubbed the bridge of her nose "he heads of the consul are more concerned about this stupid item but I wont let them have it."
Atem glared "she is my sister! Item or no she IS royalty and she should be treated like such! its because of you that she can't bear to be around anyone but Amme!" he pointed accusingly at the head consuls. "At least Seth and the others treated her with respect, none of this would have happened if she had the throne." he stood up angrily "if she did help him it was to escape from the invisible Prison you put her in... Amme continued walking but stopped when she heard a door slam. She knew it was Atem. She knew she probably had some scrapes on her body but didn't know how bad they looked. She knew her elbow was probably cut up badly, so she used her one hand to hide it from Atem. "Atem, the meeting is over so soon?" she asked. She then frowned, "It did not go well did it? You're angry...."
Bakura snarled just slightly to wear it was kinda cute. Was he losing his touch to where he did not strike fear into his foes anymore? "They won't ever find you, not here," he said smirking a bit. He liked the idea of making those pig headed royalties runs around in circles. "I'm bored," he said as if a child. "Have you ever stolen anything before?" he asked. "I could take you out on a trial run and see how well you do. I'm not bringing you back to the Kingdom, since they will be surrounded with guards. But I'll bring you to the next village over," he said. It was strange, usually Bakura demanded, this time he asked.
