}History{ As an angel of Heaven Natasha was a favorite. She was one of these most beautiful around. It was the blueish color she had adapted which made her famously known as the Mermaid. It was her that they talked about in all the folklore and all the fish tales. It was upon her first visit to dry land that caused her first downfall.
She had become attatched to the beautiful trees in the wilderness, the colors that let he blend in so easily. The trees and their stories, the animals that sniffed about. She was facinated by all of it and began to spend a lot of her time upon Earth. God was fine with this as long as she was not seen by the mortals. For the sight of an angel was supposed to mean death. No matter how beautiful they were.
She slipped in her cover on day and was exposed when she had gone to the misting lake that she had come to love just as much as the trees. Squatting down to take a drink of it's cool waters some men noticed her. The neaderthalls didn't know she was an angel, for those that don't beleive in god couldn't see her wings, they only saw her beauty. This beauty was changed into lust and the men began to plot.
It was the very next day that they decided to put their plan into action. The sprung her with a net and cheered at their capture, bringing her back into their village. She wailed and cried for help from god in her natural language, unintelligable to man-kind. They were cheered and also scorned as those faithful to the church now thought that thei lives would be taken... but nothing happened.
God had told Natasha to not be visable. Now that she had been seen she was cast from her place, her wings visable to all, along with the markings that now adorned her body. They were God's symbol. A Moon to tell her she will never see the bright or his Holyness in the sunlight again. Her skin became pale and her body experienced pain for the first time. The second the men saw her wings they clipped them, not wanting her to fly away from them forever.
Now banned from Heaven's gates and not allowed to enter Hell she wept.

}History{ Huojin was shipped to a human population where he escaped. He doesn't know what has happened to his family, or what he is going to do with himself. A lion like him was very noticeable so he is always watching his back, not wanting to be caught by the villagers he escaped from.
Along his roamings, Jin came across a water lioness that was rather lonely. She too was colored similar to him... but what caught his attention was that she was a water lioness, and he a fire lion. He never knew was drew him to her but she attracted him like no other had. Poinsettia was her name... and he would never forget that.
After sticking around for a while, Huojin finally had someone to call 'his'. Tia needed a shoulder and a strong paw, Jin offered her himself. That was all he could give... And so they became one.

}Personality{ Balthier is rather blunt, he doesn't really care what you might think about the situation. He isn't dumb though, he knows when he is being lead on, and that's something he rather dislikes. He has a knack of stealing things... gold, jewels,... hearts. He is suave and sophisticated, he can be a gentleman but he can also be what his passion is, a pirate.
}History{ Balthier doesn't like talking about his past. When he was still human he was a sky-pirate plain and simple. What most didn't know was that he used to be a Judge, what exactly a Judge was, he couldn't explain to people if they didn't know. He found the whole system to be corrupt so he became the one thing that was the exact opposite of what he used to be. Balthier had friends, family, love, all back where he came from. It took him quite a while after his crash landing to forget about those things.
Then he met Lulu. He couldn't help himself, he had to taunt her and tease her. The Black Mage was such a fun person to tease. In an odd way he became fond of her because she knew what it was like to be human. But she also knew what it was like to be betrayed, hurt, and abandond. Balthier finally found someone to relate to, he hoped that Lulu would be able to find someone he knew... what he didn't know was that he was the only one here. Lulu mentioned some from her world, how they had come together... but he had no one, except her. He finally had to stop taunting her and make nice or else he was going to lose the only friend he had.
For some reason or another Balthier got the grand idea to leave Lulu, trying to find someone to 'love'. Of course he was to thick-headed to see that he was already falling for Lulu. This was when he met Esmerelda, another lioness who had once been human. They talked for a while but all he could think of was Lulu and how he missed talking to her. Esmerelda, being a gypsy, noticed this right from the beginning and she urged him to return.
It was this return he wasn't looking forward to. Balthier knew Lulu would be furious and he could expect a fireball or two, but when he actually got there he found her broken hearted. He had done to her exactly what her old mate had done.
Vowing to never hurt her again he stuck by her side.
