Arch the Angel The father opened the door partially, fully when he saw it was an FBI agent. "How can I help you?" His father nodded, holding the door open for him. "I would like to discuss the events of the evening in private with your family, if you don't mind." Rook replied, crossing his wrists behind his back, "We think the group that disturbed you this evening is related to, or the same, as a group we have been tracking for awhile, now."

"What do you want to know? We've already been over it with the cops outside a few times, told them what we know." The mom had been moved, but Samuel was in the main room on the couch.

"And the day I trust any local law enforcement agency with anything more than a punk with pot or a petty shoplifter will be the day I hand in my badge. I'd appreciate hearing it from you. Any detective would gladly hide a few facts to throw us off the beat so he could better his career, and I think your family deserves better care than that."

After finishing her search through the SUV, Kat made note that this Jarred guy was surprisingly boring. She then turned her focus a little more back to Rook.

The father raised an eyebrow at Rook's lengthy exposition, but offered him a seat nonetheless and began to describe the events as they went. He told him about the men coming through the front door and Samuel's window, how Samuel managed to fend them off till the mom and dad got out to distract them, with the police sirens eventually scaring them off.
"That's really about it. One of them knocked my wife in the head with her gun and they all bolted, other than the one Sam threw out the window."

"Now that we're in private, I'd like to ask some questions the cops didn't touch on. Did they exhibit any kind of... Inhuman powers? Something that your normal person simply doesn't have?"

Kat made a humph in Rook's head. She thought, being briefly distracted by a group of teenagers that walked by the car window.

"Well, maybe you wouldn't think it's crazy, but I think one of them did something weird to one of our chairs." The dad stood up, picking up the chair he had held earlier, showing the growth on it. "Happened when I held it up to beat him with."
Sam perked up at the mention of powers, but didn't say anything.

"Now what if I was going to tell you they very likely did have powers? Or that they were after someone in your family because they had powers? That these people kidnap any gifted people they come across, sometimes arranging the murders or disappearances of their families or witnesses when they can't do so quietly?" Rook paused, allowing his words to sink in, then turned back to the father, "I will try and get protection for your family, but due to the location of your family, the best protection for all of you would be to move into a more dense area."
