Sighing heavily she looked away from her captain, clasping her hands behind her back and settling her gaze on her ruffled cat, glaring at her from a pillow on her cot. "It will be difficult to perform such a task. I'm too well known among the houses to disguise myself as a merchant.. I might be able to tag along as a servant, either way we'll have to send someone else. I'm afraid I don't trust anyone with this mission by themselves, and you're MALE. Not that you're a degenerate or anything," she added appologetically, "but you know how it is with our society..." She paused a moment, as if reaching for inspiration, and then glanced at him. "What would we be selling...? Weapons? The transaction would have to be real and we'd have to have a quality product. We have a few talented smiths within our ranks, but to prepare for a weapons deal to a house of rank would take a toll on our resources. We don't have the funding to pull something like that off, it would have to be absolutely guaranteed that this would work, otherwise we're going to have starvation and mutiny on our hands."

(ooc ive been readin your convo with pas and your forgetting my charecter is a former smith he carrys pretty much an armys worth on him most of the time so he could sell some of his weapons)

namidar pulled a dirk and hand and a half sword he sat there sharpening them in the training room as he waited for someone to spar with shifting every few seconds to adjust to all the straps of weapons on his person

(OOC: Not to sound rude, but I don't think any smith would have that many weapons of quality on hand and not have sold any of them)

(good point but then again my guy had to live in the underdark for awhile so selling his weapons may not have been an option)

(OOC: How did he carry thousands of pounds of metal around in the underdark)
PostPosted: Mon Sep 14, 2009 1:49 pm

(well not thousands of pounds see weapons dealers dont have to deal in bulk if they sell specialty weapons i.e decorative blades and such so really i dont have to sell in bulk just a few specialty peices and then see if i can get put on rewtainer for said house ive thought this out)

((There are ways, magical ways, but yeah...))

"None taken." Pas quickly replied to the Male comment, use to dealing with such a handicap in their culture. Chuckling a bit, the Shadow Dancer shrugged his shoulders as he leaned back further in his seat as he let his gaze go onto the ceiling.

"Also, not all weapon smiths carry their wares, General. The really good ones tend to have their customers provide them with everything and let them do their magic." He added, his mind racing through a hundred and one scenarios to go about dealing with their problem. It was then a thought struck him. A smile slowly grew on his face as he let his blue eyes fall upon his leader.

"Why not go as yourself? Tell the Llothites you wish to pay tribute to Lloth and want to use their magnificent temple to do so. Heh, you know how those Matrons are about flaunting their greatness. All it takes is a little tact and before you know it, we're in."

She suppressed a grimmace, tribute to Lloth.. that would be an act indeed! The mercenary general hoped her own diety, Elistraee, wouldn't be upset with her if she DID go through with this facade... the goddess would probably forgive her. "Yes, that would be an interesting way to go about it, profess my loyalty to the Spider Queen while using flattery to win my way into the hearts of the Matrons... If that's the way we go about it we'll need some strategy.. I'll need to know what day the Matriarch of the fourth house does her worship, and I'll need to bring a "sacrifice" with me..." she frowned, she didn't like the idea of killing needlessly, it was just her proffession, not her hobby. Glancing back at him, "Say, do you think one of our magelings would be able to create a gollum to flawlessly resemble a drow?"

vloss jess gave a small sigh after compleating his blood binding ritual and telaported back to the entrance hall he needed to progress in this mercenary guild the only reason for his joining was to force bloodshed upon the drow houses in order to obtain an item of rather great importence to him he would stay loyal of course but he did need more blood to be spilled in order for his blood pit to maintain a proper balance and not break the limitations of his binding...he would have to go directly to the source himself and ask for a efficiant battle so he knocked on the door of his leader and waited patiently by the door for responce

Jiv obviously lost within the quarters of the new dwellings. Opens a random door to see the sparring room, his jaw clentched in amazement of the size of the room. Wondering if anyone was in the room looking for a sparring match.

The cat jumped at the sudden knock, dashing under the small bed and out of plain sight. Orawan breathed a sigh and made her way to the door, slightly annoyed by the interuption. She opened the door a crack, peering through at the figure in the coridor, and then pulled it opened the rest of the way, slipping just outside and all but closing it behind her. She trusted her Captain, but didn't want to leave him to his own devices with the door closed, a nervous habit she'd picked up from her matriarchle upbringing. She inclined her head slightly in recognition of her visitor, "Mr. Jess, to what do I owe the honor of your visit?"

namidar saw jiv enter the room and swung his sword over his shoulder "sooo someone wants to spar finally. ive been wanting to test my new wares out" he replaced his dirk in his belt and removed a wickedly curved dagger with a purple eye made from gems at the hilt his eyes gleaming mischeviously "ready?"

"I was looking some things over in a privet study of mine and I believe that the best way for us to bring some income into our group would be by infiltrating a house of the lolthite city and with their constant 'my temple is grander then yours' ego type I believe that you yourself or another female might get into a group by faking to be a traveling fallower of the spider queen who wishes to pay her respect to lolth through usual rituals and as for a sacrifice I can offer a blood golum that will work as an exact replica for whatever you choose to 'sacrifice' human drow even a moon elf if you wish"he smiled warmly trying to appear as if his intentions where selfless and for the good of the group and more importently its leader"and from their you can indoctrinate yourself into the house and by doing so hire your own group with their resources after that we could possibly have another female of our group or even a male if nessasary marry into the noble family and make some small assassinations to put ourselves on top from their we can manipulate our new troops into forcing warfare between other houses and make a more substantial gain"after that lovely little miniture plan he had to add his own gain as to make it clear he was not planning to take over himself"the only thing I require for this in return is promission to take any dead bodys from any of our assassinations or wars and use them to maintain the balance and controll levels of my blood pit as to avoid the limitations of my binds breaking at which point a possible catastrophe might befall those in the areas near any of my priviuse and current castings have occured"to emphisise his point he summoned a miniture blood golem the size and shape of a roach and waved his hands to unbind the creature at which point it broke into droplets that then flew about wildly in the room for about a minute putting one minor crack in a wall before he rebound it and disposed of it"see my point?"

Pas tried his hardest to suppress a smile, but failed miserably before the laughter rolled out of him. Crossing his arms and leaning back in his seat, the dark clothed Drow looked over his shoulder with a cocked eyebrow and a twisted grin on his face.

"My, what a wonderful idea! Why, how did you come up with such an idea?" The Shadow Dancer questioned, his tone laced with mockery and poisonous intent. Slipping out of his seat, the mildly tall Drow stared past his General's shoulder as his amused face slowly began to morph into one of great seriousness.

"Drows don't marry." He stated blandly as his eyes narrowed. "So your second plan is out the window. Now, Mister Jess, I'm only going to warn you once and one time only, something not many folks get to experience. You ever, EVER, scry into General Orawan or my room again for any reason, I will personally remove your eyes and feed them to you." As he said this, his gloved hand fell nonchalantly on the pummel of his sheathed rapier, his blue eyes blazing with malicious intent.

"Mistress Orawan, it appears though our question has been answered about our mageling being able to mimic a sacrifice for our purpose." He then stated coolly, his eyes never straying from the warlocks.

A mirthful grin quirked the corners of her mouth at her captains' reaction to Jess, "So it would seem.. or perhaps we could just offer our friend, here, as a sacrifice to the Spider Queen..." she responded, laughter glittering in her eyes. "Master Jess," she said solemnly to the mage, "I have a few jobs to keep you busy and your blood pit satisfied until we're finished with our plans," she rolled up two sheaf's of parchment and held them out to him. "There are two assassination requests in here, you're to take one of the other mercs with you. You may drain the bodies assassinated of their blood but the money from the kills will go to your partner. That will be your punishment.. if you AND your partner come back alive then we'll accommodate you into our future plans." She glanced over to Pas, "Does that seem fair?"
