Away from the mirror, she couldn't. As the fear and emotions battled inside the Fae of Mirrors her wings twitched. Her mind whirled; she could be hurt or get exposed to something. This world was too strange, too new. With all the sounds and smells and the light she never experienced, it was too much.
The game dropped, the pae shut her eyes tightly and gave a small yell. This little sound was only a small portion of the torment within. Jerking back as if the mirror were pulling her, Montana turned completely around and bolted head long for the mirror. He might know she could go in and out of mirrors, but it was easy enough to say it was only that one. He'd never have to know about her world and she learned never, ever to pull this trick again.

Haru was stunned as she made a sound that was not what he had expected. He looked into her eyes and saw torment...from the evil pae? Was he back?
Haru felt the girl tug and then he lost grasp of her hand. She bolted for the mirror, "Wait, is he here?" He couldn't let her get sucked back in, instead he grabbed for her and fell only to get grasp of her ankle as she was going back in....

In blind fear, the fae of mirrors entered her realm. What panic induced was idiocy for it wasn't until she was already completely in that she noticed the slight pleasure on her ankle. There was a cold feeling, part violation and mostly fear, which grasped her. There was nothing she considered more intimate, more off limits then allowing another pae to enter her world. This was a place she controlled completely, no one got in without her permission and yet without looking she already knew that had happened.
There were a few reasons she didn't look back yet. One so long as she didn't look she could convince herself he wasn't there. Another was she was also afraid of his reaction. This was a pae that obviously love looking at himself in the mirror, that was part of the reason she began the torment as she considered it. Here he was in her world, completely alien.
He was safe, the staff in her hand glowed her protection, it was instinctive because it had to be, she didn't know him enough care. Right? Her world was nothing like the outside. Here there were windows as she called them, the other side to every mirror big or small. Most were hidden, both in the vastness that was her infinite world and by her own will. Only the windows to pretty places or interesting ones were allowed to stay, others she hid. There was no color besides the frames around the windows matching the framing the mirrors sat in. There was no sound, though she could swear the thundering of her heart was heard loud enough to hear. No air either, but her sub power made that unnecessary for herself and the one she now protected.
It was fun and games before, but now what? Finally the fae turned to look at Haru whom she had inadvertently dragged completely into her world.

Haru didn't know what had just happened. He was holding on to the girl's ankle and then, silence. Deep silence like nothing he had experienced before. Haru had his eyes closed tightly and had to admit his was quite afraid to open them. What would he see? Was he beyond the mirror with her? Did the bad guy suck them both in? Or was it something else entirely?
Haru finally braved a peek. His jaw dropped open as he saw a sight he couldn't imagine if he tried. There was nothing...ok not nothing, but not much. He saw the girl he was still attached too, then little windows...wait, not windows. The other side of each mirror? He could see things beyond each. Is this what it looked like beyond the mirror. Haru was stunned to silence...not that he knew if he he speak here...it was just so quiet.
((If I say soemthing wrong about this world let me know, ok?))

Montana watched Haru, it was all she could do to stay silent. He didn't understand what this world was to her, what she really was. Here she never felt the need to talk. After all, there was no one to talk to and voices carried weird to her. "This is my world." It was lame, but what else could she say. Even in her own world, she felt more in control when she was in his world then she did now. Right now, she was venerable and far too exposed.

"Your world?" He wanted to stand up, but was afraid to let got of her. He chose to slowly stand up as he slid his hand up her body until he found her hand. "But, I thought?" It was dawning on him very slowly. There was no evil pae? He had never saved her? It was all a trick? But, why?

Her wing tips shivered as Haru found the solution to standing without breaking contact with her. Intellectually she understood, heck even she didn't know if he'd even be able to breathe if her powers didn't shelter him. It was still weird, even more so to be touched here of all places.
What did she tell him? She could say anything, he was at her mercy. She could choose to keep him with her here forever, or push him through some random window and be done with it. He'd know the truth, only Quinn knew about her and for a pae of mirrors, even she could not find Quinn. There was this inkling of some barbed red pae but it was a fuzzy image as if from a dream.
Knowing the power she held, she still was at a loss. No matter how ticked off he may be, he could only get but so mad at her. What trouble there could be after she let him go was another matter. Here she couldn't hide, never bothered trying, the fact that she was scared had to show a little even if she tried not to let her face be seen.
"This is the only place I have ever known." This was her home, the only place she was safe. That place out there, where he came from, it was dangerous and overwhelming. If she was getting so darned comfortable with touch this would likely be easier. To deflect answering an affirmative to her trickery, she instead responded, "I am trapped here, I don't have clue how to survive in your world. Small things that you take for granted..like another's touch, are huge and new. Things outside my windows are overwhelming, even little subtle smells and sounds you might have learned to ignore come like a tidal wave." Like a child with a toy she didn't know what to do with, Montana didn't have a clue how to keep playing. This was her first game with someone and look how it spiraled out of control. For her safety and protection, manipulating Haru seemed the safest course.

"So, trapped not by an evil pae?" It was dawning on him slowly now. "How do you survive in here?" He gasped when she said no touch. "No touch. I think I would die." Haru lived on touch and compliments.
Haru looked this way and that. He could see things in the windows. "How long have you been in here anyway?" He looked at her with wide eyes, like a child asking his parents about life, the universe and everything. She knew so much more here than he did. She could teach him, maybe he could teach her about his world?

No evil pae? With a weak smile she tried to state her evilness, "Well, theres me.." All she did was trick him, more mischievous then evil. Next time she'd have to do better and refuse to come out of her mirror.
Looking to her staff, wheels turned with mostly speculation. "My powers keep me, in extension anyone I touch. Here I am suspended; I don't eat, drink or need air. I can't get sick, grow hungry or thirsty. There is nothing to cause harm here." She was safe here; the utter safety here was something that always soothed her.
His gasp caused her to really look at him, and then to his hand she was holding. He didn't understand that you can't miss what you don't know. Thats what she tells herself all throughout growing up, she didn't miss anything they did because she never did them. "I have been here as long as I can remember, since I was a toddler at the very least." She had vague memories of crawling into the strange new world meeting Quinn then going back home.

Haru listened, but didn't really believe she was evil. Tricky maybe, but that wasn't evil in the slightest. He nodded, "I understand, but at the same time don't. You never want the thrill of touching, danger or food?"
Those were things Haru couldn't live without. "Do you have family outside the mirror, paes that looked for you?" He wasn't unclear about paes with families, as he didn't have one. Others had large families, like Magnus. Haru had none, but preferred it that way.
Haru held onto her hand, and looked out the window-mirrors. "Do you watch other paes? Have you seen me before?" He did tend to look in mirrors an awful lot. Of course, how could you not look in them when you looked like him?

Of course he couldn't understand, what he knew and what she knew were two different things. "Who wants danger? Who wants to risk being hurt or getting sick? Beside, you can't miss something you never had. I did have friends outside of the mirror, though I haven't even tried to reach out to Quinn in ages. She never looked for me but was very friendly when I found her. In here, you can forget the experiences out there. After all," The pause followed as she looked at the pink male, "There is no time here; time does not touch this world or me while I am in it." Everything blurred together and she distanced herself from the pae she saw. It was just like watching T.V. for anyone else. 'Tana didn't even dismiss the idea that there was a world inside a television.
Glancing out her windows, it struck her that her answer might come off as creepy, "I watch all the time." She didn't watch during very intimate moments, she wasn't a voyeur. "These are my shows; I watch the drama and the interactions between pae from afar. Sometimes I go in and mess with things. If anything is ever near a mirror and vanishes, I probably took it." She grinned, it was entertaining to see a pae come back trying to find something and flip out because it was not there. "I usually return the items though, no reason for me to keep them." Shrugging, she wondered if those fun days were over. If he told others about her, they would be warned and remove their things from where she was or try to set up traps.
Chuckling a little, she was reminded of her reason to harass him in the first place, that he was staring at himself in the mirror. "Yes, I have seen you quite a bit. Mostly, only females spend hours in front of my window, it caught my attention that you were doing it." Usually she mocked him, and the others that stared at themselves. It was only this time that she was close enough to be seen.

"Danger can be a rush. Feeling something is better than nothing." Haru knew this more than some, his kiss took pain away from the recipient, but gave him the pain instead.
"You like to watch?" Haru smirked, that could be fun. "What was the most interesting thing you have seen?" He was curious to know what paes did in front of mirrors thinking no one was looking. He knew what he did.
Haru didn't blush or get embarrassed in the least. "Well, how can you not when you look like me?" He asked her in a most serious tone. He was joking in the least, he really did think that highly of himself.

Montana looked at Haru with an eyebrow raised, "So you say." He was partially right, the kiss was..interesting. She was also still holding on to him. The warmth was a textual experience she hadn't had in so long, though part of the reason she held on was due to the unknown if he'd survive without her secondary power.
"It may be true," her words were reluctantly given as she continued, "I doubt I'd survive too long out there, every sound, smell, even the weather are overwhelming when you've gone your whole life with limited experience of them. Here I am safe and in control, out there, I am powerless and lost." The world was interesting to watch, but being a part of it meant going without her power as a defense. What could she do, carry around a large enough mirror to dive into?
Chuckling slightly, the fae thought back to all the things she had seen. "I have seen a lot of things that are hilarious. There was a night where everyone seemed to think it was a good idea to get wasted. Watching a proud demon wobble into his room and trip over furniture was a particular amusement. The silly things babies do also get me, such as pulling their parents hair or as one little one do, stealing their parent's staff so they had to go looking for it. As a fae that would annoy me but when it happens to anyone else it is pretty funny. I have also seen pae who should never attempt to dance put on things that are not meant to be hats and dance in front of their mirrors with the delusion that are any good at all, they even try to sing!"
It wasn't just the happy things that were of some amusement, "I also have several mirrors that are my 'shows' as I call them. Those are where 'happy' couples cheat on each other and where the fights happen. Drama can be pretty engaging when one is bored. And watching pae hunt for things I have stolen or scratch their heads at the odd things that appear in their rooms never get old." Showing mirth in her voice she explained something particularly funny, "One pae was completely baffled to find several hogs in his bedroom one day, what a thing to wake up to. Another didn’t like my redecorating; apparently the pae didn’t like the color purple or the flower petals." See, she was evil, or so she believed, the mischief she had caused did amuse her so even if none it was overtly life-threatening.
Shaking her head at his question she mentioned, "There is the story of narcissus, the man who became a flower because the nymph he spurned turned him in to one as punishment, so he could look at himself for eternity. If you spend all day looking at yourself, it seems you lose out as much as I may seem to. Besides, if you don't need the preening, whats the point?" She was not admitting she found him at least attractive, not in the least.

"That sounds fun." Watching paes and making them into entertainment? This was his kind of girl. "Who is your favorite pae to watch?"
"I'm a nymph so maybe I'm immune. I don't really need to preen, I just like to see beauty. Don't you have anything beautiful that you can't keep your eyes off?" Haru didn't know what was more beautiful then himself, but who knew.

Montana grinned a little; it was decent entertainment to watch the pae go about their lives. Better was to mess around just to confuse them and cause chaos just to see how they would react. As she considered his question, she had a suspicion who would be her new favorite but answered his question with a past tense answer, "I really didn't have a favorite pae, partly due to not knowing their names. Oh I gave them names, generally descriptive or insulting depending. The demons tend to be more entertaining to watch though." They were supposed to be 'big and bad' but a lot that she saw were really soft.
Things she couldn't take her eyes off of, looking around her world she had all the same images but some of the things she saw in the mirror were hard to look away from. "I do enjoy seeing the stars when someone leaves the blinds open for them." She liked looking at the ocean but it wasn't often she got to see the sights due to most pae having mirrors facing inside not out.
Thinking of time, she had no sense of it but figured Haru did and they had spent what felt like a while here. With a wing twitch she reached her hand out to the window they had entered it causing ripples the same as one would cause touching still water. "I don't know how good it is for you to spend time here. Your way to return to your world is open." A pae that loves to look at himself shouldn't be trapped here. In the short time she had his company she had become a bit fond of his company.
Trapping her new found friendly acquaintance wouldn't be right and he needed to get back to his world before he became use to hers. It wouldn’t be hard to find him in the future.
