Lmfao. People these days tell me God exists. And I ask: "Give me proof he exists"
And when I asked that to one of my friends he said "Believe in faith"
And I started laughing and replied "You don't got proofs do you, then please don't make me laugh"
Man, he got so pissed.

The way I see it, people who believe say "Everything around you is proof"
people who don't say "There's no proof he does exist" as their proof.
people who believe in science say "We've studied for years" as their proof.
There IS no REAL proof to any of them, what's the point in fighting about what we don't know? XD

Imagine if it turned out there was a heaven, and one day a rocket ship had taken off and god's wierd.. bathrobe.. thingy.. had gotten stuck on the ship. The ship made out of the atmosphere and god blew up XD Or =O what if that's what causes space ship accidents? Heaven has some for of AA system that shoots down planes and space ships that get too close XD Maybe it's floating over the Bermuda triangle!

And in some ways enjoyable, but in some ways depressing.

I see no way that being Atheist is different from any other religion...
Sure they don't have a god, but that choice is the equivalent of choosing to believe in Buddha, or whatever the Christian god's name is because it's retarded to have a god named god, that'd be like have a son and naming him "Boy" or "Male"... or a cat name "Cat" or "Feline"
Also, Ren, you realize that based of what you said your not actually atheist? If your beliefs are based of science that's a whole different religious which I can't remember the name of atm.

Hooray for people like me. I believe in bits from most religions, but I don't really believe in gods and such. So all the religious people don't like because I don't believe in their god(s). But atheists don't like me because I call myself a sort of atheist. Yay circle of dislike.

Gotta agree with Ren though. Assuming that the announcement was made when the subforum was created, (three days ago at most) and that there was a little spat on said announcement. Judging from human nature's tendency to argue over their beliefs and attempt to assert that they are right no matter what, such conversations may become common and elevate in severity. Such things can breed contempt amongst people.
And also you have the bastards who think it's their 'religious obligation' to convert you to their religion. Atheism ftw.
