gamemaster87 Girls are better is an entirely wrong statement. Neither boys nor girls are better. Both have brains that develop in different ways. If they DID develop the same, but one more rapidly than the other, then that statement would be a valid claim. But I do give girls some credit for having the following advantages. 1. Girl- already an advantage. Not only will a desperate guy take it easy on you, one adjustment of your bra, the tinest fraction of a movement in that region even, and he's lost the game. 2. Tiny fingers- less muscle mass in the hands means it's easier for your fingers to fly from button to button. 3. Sexism- even a guy that's NOT sexist, will subconciously think that he's supreme. To girls or guys. Guys are guys and will always WANT to be number one. Thing is, girls already know they are! T__T (my gf holds things from me... *cough cough*) I think online gaming will bridge this gap. And make the playing field more even. Now for guy advantages. 1. BOOM! factor- guys have been killing/destroying/incenerating/etc many numerous zombies, dark lords, and sewer rats for about 20 years so far. Girls as a majority for 5 years tops. It's just in a guys nature, for lack of better phrase, to kick major a**. Girls actually do think but so can guys. I've pulled some nasty/tricky moves myself. 2. Mind Set- Guys get really into a game. They sorta become the character. That's why more 10 year old BOYS want to be power rangers, not girls. They get really wrapped up in the game. Guys also need to be around other guys. If a girl is present it disturbs the testosterone level in the room! Which guys live and breathe testosterone. This ties into the Sexism advantage of girls. 3. Majority- Yes, there are girls that can rock at games. Yes, there are female body builders that for CERTAIN they could kick MY a**. But as a majority, guys are better at videogames, 1 for the sheer fact that more guys play videogames that girls. This being gamer Girls guild, it's biased. That's why a GUY won the videogame championships of 2006 and ended up taking home lots of cash, not girls. That's why a girl, even though she was the only girl in the contest, and fared well, did not win the pokemon emerald championship. (Really awesome game that yes, takes brains to really play, but can also be enjoyed by a 5 year old) And just for the record, the only way I'll let any girl win against me will be my gf for the pure and simple reason that she used her boobs against me... Any other girl, fair game. I have animal crossing for the ds (visit anyone?) And I'll get mariokart ds this christmas to add some friendly competition. Negative. I do not wish to be number one. In fact I find it much more entertaining to find a challenge in a game then do what i know will get me to win.

Sannin-Iokoa Sheesh i dont like the guy gamers you girl gamers meet they all talk trash but cant back it up. I hate no i loath it when people talk trash but hate it even more when they can back it up. You girls need to move to cali right now so we can have a fair fight of the gamers instead of you lot going against the noob trash talking portion of guy gamers. Cheers!

Epidemic of Insanity Sannin-Iokoa Sheesh i dont like the guy gamers you girl gamers meet they all talk trash but cant back it up. I hate no i loath it when people talk trash but hate it even more when they can back it up. You girls need to move to cali right now so we can have a fair fight of the gamers instead of you lot going against the noob trash talking portion of guy gamers. Cheers! I can't say that I kick guys' butts on a regular basis, since most of them have much more experience than I do. It's not that I don't try! Unfortunately, the big talkers in my situation are the better players... and I feel awesome when I do manage to destroy him. And by the way, I don't play Halo 2, first person is not my thing.

Lol its awesome when people talk s**t and then you pwn them. Its like the natural order of things. But it really bugs me when those s**t talkers can back it up. I dont tolerate gloaters though if they are in my server id usually kick em out.

I play RPGs. They don't require good coordination (usually), which I most definitely lack. I can't even stand on two feet without almost falling to one side. In fact, everyone in my family except for my mom can't walk in a straight line. We kind of end up leaning to the side and walking diagonally.

I don't think we're better, I just think we're equal. 3nodding I want guys to realize that...
the guys in my class have realized that I could whoop some of them at certain video games, but I could still never beat my friend AJ at Halo 2! He beat it on Legendary in less time than it took me to beat it on Easy/Normal. I don't envy him, though... (: He's a good friend of mine and he's always been telling me about new video games and stuff. He's awesome.

Celes And then, we had Unreal 2k4 in all of our computer labs, because we used the engine to build levels. Well at night we would have HUGE deathmatches. I was known as Suck Yo Mamma, feared throughout the hallways! lol Not a lot of people knew it was me, even though I used the blonde girl avatar, Satin or whatever. And they would talk about how much they hated Suck Yo Mamma, cause "he" was too good. Of course when they found out that Suck Yo Mamma was a GIRL, it became personal for them, and I was totaly hunted all the time. lol I used to win out of all the guys in my class when we play tested the levels we built. Come on fellas, take a hint. There are chicks in Unreal 2K4?!? FINALLY! blaugh

Hehehe...
Last summer I won tickets on my fave radio station to Wakestock ( 4-day wakeboarding competition, concerts, other things) I honestly didn't think I would win, I just called in for fun, however I digress.
So I call up a guy friend and tell him to come with me, we get to the Island and after wondering a bit we come across a Nintendo Booth. Like a moth to a flame I was drawn to it. They had like 4 or 5 gamecubes hooked up with some soccer game, some WWE game (as if there weren't enough already), some other games I could care less about, Metroid Prime 2, Mario Power Tennis, and Mario Kart Double Dash.
Being the Serena Williams of Mario Tennis that I am I played Mario Tennis. Mind you, I've never played Power Tennis so this was new territory for me (sorta). Oh and you can play for prizes too. Anyway I played my friend and I beat him 21, count 'em, 21 consecutive times. My hands were hurting, I was honestly getting tired of beating him, but he was so stubborn and determined to beat me. He did on the 22nd time, but he was so damned excited about it saying that him beating me that ONE time was better than all the other TWENTY ONE times I beat him

But I wasn't satisfied with just him, you can win prizes by beating the crap out ofplaying other people, or by beating the people running the booth. The rest of the time I was there I beat every Nintendo guy running the booth. They were fun sports though. They kept saying stuff like "Dude she's a girl." or "Your job's on the line." but they didn't mean it. It was quite funny actually. I became legend, beating every one who dared challenge me. I get all warm and fuzzy when think about it (and maybe just a tad smug but can you blame me?). xd
I was sooooooooo good that this time I wanted to play for these fuzzy dice, one of the guys said "You'll just beat us anyway." and handed them to me!! Seriously totally proud of myself. rofl
Bottomline I PWNED EVERYONE!! rofl
I took home:
-2 8-Bit Donkey Kong T-Shirts that read 'Party Animal' and something else respectively
-3 Nintendo keychains (I gave one away though) that read 'too much fun'
-A 'The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess T-Shirt'
-A Nintendo Wristband
-Fuzzy Dice with Toadstools on them (not Toad, just the mushroom with eyes)
Ahh good times heart heart ...
