Pan looked at Mina a moment, studying her reaction, but nodded and began heading back to her own apartment. "You going to be all right?" She asked Mina. Despite the weird day she was having, and technically how panicked she should be, Pan always was one to abandon her own worries to focus on someone else's. Helena had always made note of it.

"I--" Mina burst into tears, immediately hiding her face in her hands. "I-i-it's..." she blubbered, sobbing and trying not to. "My... the car..."
Mina and her mother moved into the apartment building six years ago, in the middle of a brutal divorce. It eventually came out that she'd had a younger brother who died in a series of car bombings overseas, which her mother held the father responsible for, going to great lengths in the divorce to make sure he'd never have the chance to put Mina in the same kind of danger. Over the years, this little tidbit has become less juicy gossip and more a tiny explanation in the background of why Mina doesn't like action or spy movies.

Eulalia Danae Pan paused in her steps, realization dawning. "Oh. Oh, Mina. I didn't think..." She let out a long breath. "Come sit down. It'll be fine." Mina sat down at the counter, burying her face in her sleeves. "I--I'm sorry," she tried to say. "I... don't mean to... I'm sorry..."

Pan brushed a hand along the girl's back. "Just let it out. You shouldn't bottle things up, sometimes it's just best to feel."

"I just... the explo... the... the wall just re-re-reminded me... it was..." She raised her head for a moment. "D-do you have tissue?"

Pan nodded, "I know, Mina, no shame in it." She walked over to the box of tissues on the opposite counter and picked it up, handing it to her.
As Pan did her mothering thing, Peter was inspecting the whole. In fact he was very much enjoying floating items outside the house, and dropping them to the street below to watch them bounce....or not bounce as the case may be.

"I know, I--" Mina blew her nose, wiped her eyes a little, and then noticed her cold cup of cocoa floating towards the hole. She gasped. "Pan! No, Peter! Get--"
She sprinted over the grab him and take him away from the wall, knocking over several chairs along the way. "Stay away from there! I have to take the blame!"

"Peter!" Pan (lol) yelled at the boy, scooping him up from Mina. "You're going into time out." She paused, realizing time out used to be in the corner that had since been blown up. "Never mind that."
She took a short breath to calm herself. "Hey, Mina, would you mind taking him in on a bit of a walk while I take care of the hole?"

Spooked, Mina nodded her head in response and forgot that she had a voice. "uh--yeah. Definitely." She held her hand out to the boy and said, "Hey, Peter, let's... go. Leaning closer, she whispered, "We got non-poisonous Skittles at my place." Out loud, she told Pan, "My mom's not home, but I'll take him next door to our place, okay? You... come on over whenever, I guess. We'll be there."

Peter grabbed onto Mina's hand eagerly, excited for the skittles.
Pan gave a nod, looking at the task ahead of her. "I'll be sure to do that. Both of you stay out of trouble, please."

"Yeah."
In the apartment next door, Mina picked up Peter and took him straight to her room, holding him up over her head to play airplane. "Zoooooom! *ch*Urk! Runaway ahead, over! *ch*Urk! Captain Peter, do you copy!" she said in what she figured was a control tower-type voice. "*ch*Urk! We have your skittles ready and waiting! *ch*Urk!"

Pan went about fixing the hole in the wall, finding the foam and Mallory's instructions very workable. When she was finished she went back to Mina's to pick up Peter, who had a grand time playing airplane and eating non poisonous skittles.
The rest of the night went fairly well as Pan prepared some stir-fried greens and chicken for dinner before both of them went to sleep.

The rest of Mina's night was less peaceful.
The minute her mom walked in at 11, there was thunder in the air. Mina shivered from her bedroom and hunched over her homework, trying to pretend she'd been at it for hours instead of five minutes.
"Minny."
She hated it when Mom called her that. "Welcome home, Mom..?" She didn't turn around. It was bad enough when Mom came home this early... but looking her in the eye was almost painful, and it was only going to get worse when the lecture started.
~~
Sometime later, Ms. Sven asked about the explosion on the apartment earlier.
Mina was quiet for a moment, but it was impossible not to answer. Mom knew she'd been home, and she knew she'd know what happened. "I..." It took a couple seconds, but she thought she remembered the story Ms. Cross had told her to give. "...I was down at the construction site, Mom. I stole some... dynamite. It went off next door, in the Rickets' apartment. Nobody got hurt, and Ms. Cross helped us wall it up, but it was all my fault."
There was a moment of silence. "...And how did this dynamite get in their apartment?"
"It was in my backpack."
Another moment of silence, and then her mom's arm stretched into her field of view and picked up her open backpack. She shook it. "This backpack, Mina?"
She'd forgotten to take it down to Ms. Cross after Peter'd gone home.
