Super slowed and searched for a parking spot nearby. Overshooting Kairi slightly, the hedgehog had to quickly parallel park on the busy street. With a quick burs of gas either way, Super managed to park the car before Kairi could reach him. Hopping out of the drivers seat, the hedgehog bolted to his feet and ran over to Kairi, giving her a great big bear hug. He took great care not to upset Beo as he did this, which was successful due to him doing the same thing to Sparky when she held his daughter. Letting her go, he gave Beo a once over - the image of the boy's face was strikingly similar to an innocent looking Sickle - and sighed with relief. "It is so amazing to see you again, Kairi, it really is." He smiled and cocked his head to one side in his own special way. "Come on in to the SUV, I've got a child seat in the back - been too lazy to take it out sense Nadia decided not to let us put her in it anymore." He laughed. He only let positive reactions show, as not to upset Beo in any way, shape, or form. More serious questions would come later.

"I'm gonna call Sparky's cell - tell her the news. Or do you want to?" The hedgehog asked as he reconnected the seat to the middle of the car so the little wolf/fox hybrid could seen and be seen easily. He whipped out his cell phone and held it out, wondering if Kairi wanted to call Sparky.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 10, 2010 9:15 pm

Kairi seemed out of breath and at wit's end. "No, you call Sparky... I don't think I could right now..."
She buckled the baby into the car seat and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "There there, sweety, be a good boy in Uncle Super's car." She then got into the back seat next to her son and buckled her seat belt. She imagined seeing Sickle after all this time and it made her dizzy. He thought she was dead... what would he think when she showed up out of the blue? Would he be angry that she hadn't contacted him first? Would he understand that it had been hard on her too? What would he think of Beo? What would Beo think of Sickle? All the questions raced through her mind and she rested her head against the cool glass of the window to try to stop herself from passing out.

Super paused and nodded. "I understand completely. When I said I don't know how those parties go, I meant I don't understand being on this side of the occasion." Super noted. He'd been on the 'dead' side of the 'I thought you were dead' side of things on more than one occasion. Kinda awkward, but it varied from person to person. Dialing in the number, Super paused a moment as he thought of what he was going to say. Overly happy? Serious? Nonchalant? The ideas rolled around in his head as the phone rang on Sparky's end. "I haven't the slightest idea on how to approach this, I find." He muttered, scratching his head. Turning on the car and - subsequently, the A/C - Super started to watch for his way out into the street. As he did so, he heard the line pick up on the other end. Without even a Hello, Super went right into it. "So I've got Kairi and Baby Beo in the car." He began, and paused. Well, that was easy.

Beo giggled at the sound of his own name, and Kairi turned toward him. She held out her hand and he reached out to grab it. The baby had no idea what was going on and wasn't really reading the mood of the situation. He did very well around people and was glad to see Super even though he had no idea who he was. He also seemed to be enjoying being in the car. "Oh, Beo, What are we gonna do huh?"
The baby smiled and held her hand tighter, "Momma!"
The fox sighed, "A lotta help you are."

(Kayke!! Hiii!! 8D)

"Well then, I would have to say that you've done something smart for once." Tsuki said with a bit of grin. She couldn't agree with Sickle more about the restaurant's paying extra for the drinks. They were just drinks after all--the food was what really mattered...that is unless they're those hand made, smoothies--then they deserved to be paid for.
"Well you're defiantly more prepared that I am." the silver wolf said as she set her phone down on the table and began to spin it around as if bored, before glancing up towards the black wolf as he finished the dishes.
"The only thing I'm prepared for are food, naps and exploring." she said, giving the phone one more spin. Glancing over towards the door for a moment, blinking her mixed-match eyes for a moment.
I wonder where Sparky is right now... she thought to herself, wondering if her former counter part was on her way or not, if she was--she would be in for a surprise, seeing how she didn't know that she was coming...which she had wanted, she had a gift or two for Nadia--which what were probably in the small bag that she had brought in with her. Not really fancy or anything, the bag had rested unseen for a while and probably would stay that way until she retrieved it.

Walking down the street with a giggling yellowish green wolf in hand, who at the time was wearing a light purple jumper with a pair of green frogs sitting on a lily pad in the middle of it, with a pair of shorts beneath, was little Nadia. Smiling widely as she swung her hand back and forth, she glanced up towards her mother--Sparky, who was walking beside her.
"Are we going to see Sickle? Huh Mama?" Nadia asked, as she glanced up towards her mother once again, who smiled back and responded with a nod.
"Mama think Sickle gonna give Nadia a treat?" Nadia asked, grinning widely. The happy yellowish-green wolf sure hoped that Sickle would--she loved visiting Sickle almost as much as she loves seeing her Aunt Tsuki.
"I'm sure tha--" Sparky was cut off as her phone rang. "Hold on sweetie." the yellow wolf said, as she reached into the pocket of her jeans to fish out her phone.
Sparky was never the type of wear dressy clothes, especially with the weight that she gained when pregnant with Nadia--not that anyone really cared, she just always felt more comfortable in pants.
"Ah-ha--here it is." She said, as she finally managed to retrieve it, before pressing the button to answer it. "Hello--oh Hey Super." she said, as she glanced down towards Nadia--preparing to tell her what she was doing...only to have her world come to a sudden halt with Super's next sentence.
"Mama?" Nadia asked curiously as she stared up towards her mother, who had strangely falling silent for some reason. "Mama, you otay?" she asked again.
"K-kairi?!" she exclaimed loudly--maybe a bit to loudly, seeing how Super for an earful of her voice. "You mean she's alive?? But--I mean--I thought." the yellow wolf stammered, too surprised find the right words. It had been so long since Kairi had disappeared, thus finding out that she was alive was a big surprise--a wonderful one, but still a surprise.
"That's wonderful Super!" she said happily a second later. "I can't wait to see her again, can you tell her that for me?"
PostPosted: Wed Feb 10, 2010 10:06 pm

Super laughed a moment before cringing as Sparky shouted over the phone. He stopped at the light and looked over to Kairi cautiously as he looked absolutely incredulous. "Good news, you be alive is good news." He said blatently, before turning to the phone. "You shouldn't wait long. I took the car to pick up Kairi and we're en route to B-Dubs, we're only a couple blocks from it, I should see you there a little before or after, depending on traffic." Super explained, before pausing a moment. "Now, I'm gonna drive extra careful seeing as I have precious cargo, so I'ma let you go. I love you, se you soon. I'll say hi for you, don't worry. And trust me, she heard you already." Super rubbed the phone against his ear a moment before he hung up so he could pay supreme attention to the road. The car was strangely quiet except for the odd noises from the baby on board. "Kinda wild." Super muttered.

--

Sickle shrugged. "Got a lot of time to myself these days, might as well prepare for anything." He explained simply, shrugging slightly. "At least, whatever comes to mind." the black wolf paused a moment before he shook is head. "Most people unprepared for naps often get in car accidents." He added slightly, referring to what Tsuki claimed. "Oh, and on the smart comment? I'm not the one who smells like wet dog. Sleeping inside is smart, Tsuki." He jabbed, giving a huge grin as he made fun of the girl. "Anyway, that faraway look in your eyes. Sparky and Nadia will be here soon, they planned on stopping by. Not sure about Supes, but whaddaryagonado?" The last mash of words really had no space, but one was used to such sayings from the wolf after he watched Crime movies on TV.

Kairi let Beo continue to hold her hand and he seemed like he was having a great time riding in the big car. The fox had heard her best female friend's voice through the phone and was both excited and sort of scared. She couldn't wait to see Sparky again, but the rush of emotions was becoming a shock to her. She wondered how big Nadia was and if she and Beo would get along.

Super turned and turned again and he slowed down to a crawl as they neared the shop. He had been thinking. He turned to a small lot and breathed in deeply. "I haven't the slightest idea on how to approach this." He mentioned. It had been a different story with Sparky. It was a different story with him. And it would be such a story with Sickle. The wolf was currently in his restaurant, probably chatting with some customer, and whoop, here comes in his supposedly dead wife and his son.

Not exactly an everyday occurrence. tapping his chin thoughtfully, he turned to car off after putting it in park. He leaned as far back as his quills would allow and exhaled finally. "Well, I could text him. Shock and surprise in a tiny little window, then he'd get some time as he runs out here to not look like a total wreck." He tried. "Or just waltz into the arms of your husband who you haven't seen for almost two years." Super leaned his head in his hand as he used the armrest. "I haven't a clue, Kairi." He made a mental note as to how good it felt to say her name to her face again.

Kairi considered her options carefully. On one hand, texting Sickle would give him a moment to let the news sink in before seeing her.... on the other hand, HE WAS RIGHT THERE! Her Wolfie was inside the shop. The love of her life was just a few meters away and he thought she was dead and didn't know he had a child. She knew how much it hurt her when she knew she had to be far apart from him for so long even though she knew he was okay... she imagined how he must have felt thinking she was dead. Could a text express all the things she had to tell him?
"I have to go in there, Super," Kairi said, her voice even and strong sounding even though she was nervous as hell. She unbuckled her son from the car seat and opened her car door. "Wish me luck..." She said before taking Beo into her arms and exiting the car. She could see Sickle through the window of the restaurant and her stomach filled with butterflies. Holding Beo on her hip, she jogged to the door and pushed it open. The first word that came out of her mouth as she stood awestruck in the doorway was "Wolfie..."

Blinking for a second at Sickle's sudden spew of words, Tsuki raised an eyebrow before shaking her head.
"I really don't know." she said a second later. "I mean, I don't plan on leaving any time soon--so I'll probably hang around here for a while--see everyone again before I actually head off again." she explained. "You know me, I can only stand city life for so long before it begins to bother me." she stated a second later as she returned to spinning her phone around on the table--this time subconsciously, before finally stopping all together.
"And I do not smell like a wet dog." She replied quickly as she gave a bit of a huff, crossing her arms. "anyway--I don't sleep outside all the time." she added in a second later, which was probably a new thing from her--seeing how that's usually what she always does. "Sometimes I spend the night at Gabs house--or maybe longer, that crazy guinea usually doesn't let me leave for a couple days or so--" Tsuki glanced up at the sound of a familiar voice and immediately turned towards the door--only to find a ghost from the past standing in front her...Kairi.

"See ya Super, love you." Sparky replied, just before hanging up her phone and turning her attention back towards Nadia, who was gently pulling at her arm--trying to get her attention.
"Mama, mama--who was that?" the curious wolf asked curiously as she stared up at Sparky.
"That was your father sweetie, he called to tell me some good news." she replied with a smile, as she slid her phone back into her pocket and began to move forward again.
"Come on sweetie--let's go see Sickle." Sparky said a second later. "I'm sure he's waiting for us."
"Kay!" Nadia cheered happily as she released her mother's hand and began to hurry down the side walk. "Come on mama." she called, causing Sparky to smile and hurry after her daughter, as they continued on their way towards Sickle's restaurant, which she could see as she turned the corner. Glancing up, Sparky saw Super's SUV pull into view and pull into a parking spot--just before Kairi came out and ran inside.

Preparedness. He was talking about... what again? Preparedness. That meant... he... Could more fully... That he could... She was... He blinked hard. That didn't make sense. She was right there. But she... Beyond the most glorious sight he could see, he noticed a certain green hedgehog with a knowing look and a grin that meant what he was looking at, was real. This was real. His wife...

--

Moments before hand, Super hopped out of the car and walked alongside Kairi a moment before he excited pace quickly outclassed his more forced relaxed stride. "You know Sickle might not see your son right away and you're walking really fast okay I'll just sit back here then and you go on ahead." Super muttered in one long run-on sentence. He slowed slightly and just looked in from the glass. He saw Tsuki inside, enjoying some sort of... exotic dish of Sickle's creation, before Kairi burst in, child in one arm and a look of longing on her face. Super leaned against the glass and knocked on the window slightly to grab Tsuki's attention. He shot her a look of 'best slip out of the room a moment', before turning away himself, looking for his own wife and child.

--

Sickle nearly dove over the counter top - and would have, had Tsuki not been in the way. Near ripping the counter door off, Sickle ran up to his wife. Sickle was known for being a tough wolf. His demeanor rarely cracked for anything. But now, tears wee running openly down his face. "It's... I'm not dreaming... you're here." Sickle looked at her cargo, a young baby boy. Sniffing, his heart jumped into his throat. He tried saying something, but nothing came, until he wrapped his wife and son into a tight hug. He didn't want to let go. He could feel her again. She was real. She was alive. She was home.

--

Super turned and saw his wife coming toward him, with his daughter running full tilt toward him. Smile on his face, he walked forward and scooped up his daughter, standing straight up as he held her. Hugging her and handing her a small plush that she left in the back, Super raised his eyebrow a moment. "Pity, I forgot you didn't take Oso this time." He mentioned, referring to the family dog. "But regardless, Kairi's inside right now - best give them a moment." He turned to his daughter and gave her a fantastic smile. "And guess who I saw? Auntie Tsuki!" He informed, hoisting Nadia up a bit so he could better hold her.

Kairi could feel tears welling up in her eyes too. She held Beo with one arm and wrapped the other arm tightly around Sickle's neck. "Oh, Wolfie!" She was crying now too, "I'm so sorry it took me so long to find my way home, but I'm here now and nothing is going to take me away again." Her voice was strained from crying but all of her words were audible.
The baby in her arms was begging to protest being part of this group hug, "Momma!" he called one of the few words he knew, trying to show his displeasure.

Sickle was trying to restrain his tears now, mainly because it was becoming hard to see and he was having difficulty speaking. "I don't care how long, I only care about you, okay? I care that you're safe, I care that you're here, and I care about the little bundle of joy in your arms!" He said, releasing one arm to give the little pup some room to breathe. He looked down at the little guy, surprised to see such a resemblance. Sure when an alternate Beo had appeared, they were surprised at the resemblance - Among many, many other things -, but to see it in him so young. "B-Beo. That's him, right? M-my son?" He choked it out, looking between his wife and the little one. Too many emotions at once, he didn't know what feeling of overwhelming joy and relief to hand unto.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 10, 2010 11:28 pm

Kairi smiled and nodded, wiping the tears away from her eyes with the back of her free hand. She bounced Beo on her hip to get a better grip on him. The little wolf/fox was looked at his father with his little eyebrows lowered over his ice blue eyes in a rare moment of serious concentration. "Isn't he cute? We did well, huh?"
The fox held out the pup to her husband, "Here, Do you want to hold him?"

Hearing the knock on the glass, Tsuki glanced over to see Super signaling her to come out and gave a quick nod before grabbing her beaten up, light tan bag and silently slipping past Sickle and Kairi, deciding that it was best to give them time away--besides she had spotted Sparky outside of the window--along with Nadia, who Super picked up.
"haha...no." Tsuki replied as she heard Super's comment about Sparky not bringing Oso. Tsuki wasn't as frightened by dogs as she used to be--correction, she wasn't afraid of Oso--but they still freaked her out on occasion.
"And hey Greenie." Tsuki said, calling Super the unoriginal nickname that she had dubbed him.

"Wee!" Nadia giggled as Super picked her up, throwing her arms into the air for a moment before hugging onto him happily. "Daddy!" she cheered happily as she held onto him. Nadia was always happy to see her daddy, and she loved being picked up with him--it was fun. Blinking as she saw Kairi for a moment and pointed towards the window.
"Daddy--whose that?" she questioned for a moment, only to have her attention turn towards the plush that he pulled out. "Mr. fluffy-bun." she said, as she took the plush from her dad and began to hug it tightly. "I sorry i forgot you." she said with a smile. Sparky was never sure why Nadia named her plushie that, seeing how it wasn't a bunny at all.

Sparky gave a bit of a nod, she knew that Kairi and Sickle would want a moment to themselves, so she waiting outside with him, glancing over as she saw Tsuki.
"I thought about bringing Oso--but I forgot." she said, as she replied to her husband's comment. "Now I wish that I had..." she said with a bit of a smirk, getting a bit of a growl out of Tsuki.
"Come on Tsuki--you can't still be scared of dogs." she said.

"I'm not scared of them." Tsuki replied quickly as she crossed her arms, before turning her attention back towards Nadia and pulling off her bag. Pulling on the strings, the silver loosed the grip they hand on the hole before reaching in and pulling out a strange looking plushie...one that was hard to tell what it was. One of those...it was so ugly to cute things. The plush looked like it was hand made, seeing all the sloppy stitches that held it together.
"Here--I got a present for the squirt." she said, as she handed the plush over towards Super, not making any comment where she found the strange looking thing--if she did, she'd be putting herself in a position to be picked on.
