Akemi dragged an elk back to the cave by a hind leg, her son trying to help by pulling it's ear. She drops it and nudges him toward his Father and Sister so she can cut up the meal.
Gunju growls, running over and tackling his sister, his paws wrapping around her so both go rolling. "Ha! Gotcha!" He growls, tugging on an ear.

Tanith was surprised by her brother's attack and went rolling away from their father. She tugged at his ear in return and gave a muffled growl, "Not uh! I got you!" she giggled and rolled until she had him pinned to the ground.
Lucian watched them for one more moment, before he went inside to help. He watched Akemi, as she dragged the elk in and didn't say much of anything; only giving her a loving smile. "Would you like some help there?"

Gunju kicked his hind paws at her until he was free, then plopped down on her and started to bop her on the head as if she were a bongo drum. "I got you first Tanith!"
Akemi dropped the elk and sat down, catching her breath. "It put up a big fight. I got a hoof to my leg...could you cut it?"

Tanith fell back and closed her eyes as she was bopped on the head. "So! I can get you back," she grinned and tugged on his tail with one of her back paws, before pushing him off. "Can't catch me!" she teased, sticking her tongue out. Tanith ran toward the den, giggling.
Lucian nodded, "Sure. Are you okay? Nothings broken?" he asked concerned as went away with the task. His claws unsheathed, and he swiped at the meat, cutting it into slices. He listened to the cubs playing outside, staying on high alert in case they needed him or Akemi.

Gunju ran after his sister, nipping at her tail until he gave in and tackled his Mother, climbing up to tug at her ear with his teeth. "Fine! But I got Mama!"
Akemi was about to answer when her son rammed himself into her. She laughed as he started tugging on her ear. "I might have something like that...it was very painful..."

Tanith ran in a circle around her father before climbing up his back. She tugged on his mane, before crawling into the furry fluff and burying her face in it. She giggled and settled inbetween his wings. Her tiny paws holding on gently.
Lucian laughed and smiled, "I hope you're okay. If you need me to do anything else, let me know," he offered up. "Okay Tanith, where could you be hiding. I wonder," he turned his head to the left and felt her scurry to the other side. Turning his head to the right, she scurried back to his left. They did this a few more times before he caught her and nuzzled her cheek. "So Gunju I saw you help your mother bring this ol' thing in. Did you catch it?" Lucian asked good naturedly.

Akemi laughed watching her mate play with their daughter, the little cutie scurrying around. With her good leg she moved and caught Gunju by the scruff and laid him down in front of her, then proceeded to tickle his little belly, grinning as he giggled madly, squirming. "Such a cutie! I've got you..." Leans down nuzzling his cheek. "I'll be alright, but I will"
Gunju was about to answer when his Mother pulled him down and started to tickle him without mercy. He squirmed around, giggling and laughing until he finally wrapped his little paws around her big one. "Mama caught it's body, but I caught it's tail! It was movin' around really fast Dad! But I got it!"

Lucian watched his mate and son. When he saw her favor her hurt leg, he wanted to run over and help her as much as possible. He wanted to make sure she was absolutely okay, but Lucian said nothing and instead laughed deep in his throat. "Well now, look at you! You're already catching your food!" he smiled wide.
Tanith scurried to the top of her father's head and looked over, so she was seeing his face upside down. "You should take me out hunting! I wanna go!" she mewed and purred, as she leapt from his head and was snatched up in a giant paw. Giggling, Tanith wiggled her way out of her father's paws and ran to her mother. Nuzzling up to her soft fur, she looked up and smiled. "Me and Gunju want to learn to fly too! I want to learn as much as you can teach me mommy!"
Lucian was surprised at how eager Tanith was to learn so much so soon. "Let's wait until later. Right now I think your mother would like to relax and eat," he said slicing up the last of the meat.

Gunju wriggled away from his Mother's tickling paw, following his sister's lead. "I wanna learn how to fly! Please Mama? Teach me and Tanith to fly high like you do!" Climbs up his Mother's leg, yelping as she pulls back. Sits on his rump wide eyed. "M..Mama? Are you ok..?"
Akemi laughs, giving both of her babies a loving lick on their heads. "I'll teach you both later. I need to rest and we all need to ea...Ahh!" Yelps as Gunju climbs up her injured leg, pulling it back to her chest. Gives her son a nuzzle, then starts licking her leg. "Mama's ok sweet heart...I..I just need rest. Go eat."

"Akemi!" Lucian was up on his feet and by her side in one swift movement, his expression showing genuine concern for her. "Are you all right?" he asked afraid to touch her, but at the same time he wanted to carry her over to a comfortable spot so she could lay down with as much room as she needed. "It's time to settle down you two," he wasn't scolding, but was kind and understanding as he spoke.
Tanith wasn't sure what to do and jumped at her mother's yelp. She skittered up her father's back and hid in his mane afraid. Poking her head out, she looked at her mother, "Mama . . . Are you okay? Daddy is mama okay?" She looked down at Gunju and went to his side. Nuzzling up to him, she tried to assure her brother their mama was okay.

Akemi let out a soft sigh, pressing up against Lucian's strong side to take pressure off her leg. "I think I need to rest for a while though I don't want to. Can you do the hunting for a while Lucian?" Looks up at him, her eyes showing pain and weariness. It took a lot of strength to drag a dead elk home on a bad leg.
Gunju nuzzled Tanith's cheek as she padded over to him, feeling bad that his Mama was hurting. "Let's go eat ok Tanith..? Let Mama rest her ouchie..." Gets up and waddles over to bits of meat cut off by his Father, gnawing on a nice sized piece.

Lucian nuzzled up to her and purred, "Anything for you my darling." He felt bad now that he hadn't been with her earlier to help. She was a strong lioness and for that he had admiration of her, but still he wished he was there. "Is there anything else? Do you need help getting up, or would you like to rest here? I'll stay with you too if you wish it."
Tanith nodded," Okay brother. We can go out and play afterward then! Later mama and daddy will teach us, and we'll grow to be just like them!" she padded over and took a good-sized piece of meat and began nibbling on it.

Akemi flew directly below her son, ready to catch him should his still small wings get too tired. "Your doing great Gunju! If you need a rest, let me know." She felt so proud to be the Mother of such wonderful cubs.
Gunju was growing more and more tired as he flapped his wings, but he wouldn't admit it. "I'm doing great Mama! I wanna fly as far as Daddy though!" Flaps harder as he fights to stay up.

Lucian flew a few feet behind his mate and son, watching them with a wide, joyful smile. His daughter flew above him as well and attempted to go faster in order to catch up to Gunju. Chuckling, he could see the clear determination in her and said, "Pull those wings in a bit and you'll be able to catch some speed."
Tanith flapped and flapped, tiring herself out. She wanted to - no, she had to catch up to her brother. Being in her own world as she flew, she almost didn't catch what her father had said. Tanith pulled her wings in a fraction too fast and swooped dangerously to one side. Catching herself, she flew in a straight line and attempted one more time, this time though it was slowly and concentrated. "I got it!" she yelled out excitedly. Tanith was catching up, but it was slowly as she flapped in even rythms. But still she grew more tired after each flap.

Gunju's speed was slowing against his will as he had to put more effort into each flap. He wanted his Father to be so proud of him. He wanted to be just like him. And his Father could fly really far. "Already flying so far...wow." Dips a little, but flaps harder to lift up again beginning to pant.
Akemi watched both of them carefully, knowing either or both could drop at any moment. It was way past their nap time and they had traveled much farther than she'd expected a cub could. "Anytime Gunju, you can land. You are both doing beautifully!"
