Jarell walked them toward the south forest, where the Nightmare Town was. Nightmare itself actually consisted of two towns. One where humans could be deceived into thinking that it was a normal town, and one where the Varynstil could use their normal forms. "I apologize for being so short with you back there. It's just that it's not every day we get to do one of the special feedings. Not every day that another one of us is born..." They had reached the Nightmare Town by now, and Jarell had become a skeleton. Other than that, he was normal. Jarell was one of the only Varynstil that did not have to go into his full Nightmare Form when reaching the Town.

"Her eyes. There is no feeling in them, no matter how much pain she must be feeling. That and her acceptance of the town." Jarell said, leading the two of them towards the Nightmare Fountain, which spouted not water, like its twin in the normal town, but blood.

As they got to the fountain, Melantha had become her nightmare form. She grinned when the fountain came in view and then turned back to Jarell. "I suppose you're right." She responded. "And I guess we need more of our kind."

"Yeah..." Jarell said, staring into the blood pool at the bottom of the fountain. "Hey, Mel...you wanna go terrorize some people, and then feed on them?" he asked. For the Varynstil, this was a common passtime.

Jarell teleported them to just outside the nearest town, where it was the middle of the night. "So, do you wanna do the I-drink-your-blood-you-scream-people-come-running-and-we-just-have-fun-from-there routine? ...Wow, that has a really long name."

Nila had heard there had been a new human in Nightmare. Curious, she sought out the girl and quickly found her, Livi Hawkins. "Hello," Nila said, smiling a crooked smile.

"Oh, well..." Jarell said. He grabbed her, dragging her into the middle of the town, said "Now, don't forget to scream..." and sank his fangs into her neck.

Livi watched the two leave and sighed as she stood there deep in thought, wondering what the hell she was here to do from now on. Certainly police would come looking for her andshe didn't want these people to have to suffer the embarassment of that. She screamed as someone spoke but clasped a hand over he mouth. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry." She said quickly.
