Trisha followed through the streets, matching his skills at dodging people, having to be a bit more careful though due to her guitar. She glanced back and was surprised to still find him managing to keep up. What the hell man?! He didn't have this amazing stamina before! Much less be able to find her through a crowd like this. Wait... maybe he went to his dad. ********> She heard him and handed down her guitar, jumping over lightly, her skirt flipping up at that point but she didn't care. "Hurry! He can't find us!" She held her hands up so she could get her guitar, memories firing off in her mind, grimacing further as she knew one thing for sure. "I can't go back." She murmured, forcing a song into her head to try and calm her down some.

Revy smirked and nodded to that, "Damn straight. Well, we probably should save some for them. you know how they jump on pizza." She muttered, one eyebrow twitching at the memory of one fight she had to break up.

Nathan sighed, knowing she may be annoyed with his antics, but oh well. He went and put the drums back, glancing over to a woman who was intrigued. Stepping back out of the store, he smiled softly as he saw her go over to his sister. Good.

Trace dropped the guitar into her hands, then took it back. "I can get it, and you can move faster without it." he said, grabbing her hand and pulling her after him. He knocked on a door then went inside, giving her just enough time to shut it before he was off again, going up stairs and through another door on the other side of the building. And he repeated the process, occasionally going back to the main street. Eventually, he wound up at a movie theatre. He took her inside and snuck past the man checking tickets, taking her into one of the theatres and to the back corner. "Even if he managed to follow us, he won't be able to do anything here. Too public." he murmured.

"True... Maybe we should give them it a bit more often. Or make them behave when we do get it." Tia mused, shrugging.

Kiara was pulled back into the world most people inhabit when the woman walked up to her. "Can I give you a reading, ma'am?" she asked politely, unaware that the faint accent she and her brother still carried made the processes seem all the more exotic.

Trisha took it, blinking when he reclaimed it, but simply nodded at his reasoning, breaking into a run after him. He didn't really have to tug her along too hard, her heels clicking on the pavement. She did shut the door every time, the haunting voice calling her real name growing fainter and fainter. Once they were inside and safe, she was doing her best to mask her panting, leaning against the wall before fixing her tall socks. "Thanks Trace. I owe you one now." She gave him a brief smile, running a hand through her hair as she prayed that Alden wouldn't find her again. Well, now she couldn't perform in the park or near it, he might pop up out of nowhere.

Revy chuckled at that, attempting to ignore the temptation of her cutlasses, but overall failing miserably. "Whichever comes first I suppose. If Mal keeps bringing in the cash that he does, then we could probably afford to buy them pizza's more often."

Nathan walked back over to his sister, his amber colored eyes meeting the woman's with his sort of gay laughter in them.

The woman blushed faintly as their eyes met, but she refocused on the girl in front of her. True, her mother had always said to avoid those who seemed to be gypsy, but what could it hurt? "Yes please." She answered meekly, glancing from the girl to the boy that she assumed was her brother.

Kiara nodded, smiling. She placed the deck of cards on the table, mixing them up gently then fanning them across the table. Each card was roughly the size of her hand, the backs looking handpainted but with amazing precision. The fronts, presumably, were the same. "Pick ten cards, and give them to me one at a time without looking at them." she said. "Pick the ones your fingers are drawn to."

Tia nodded. "He's paid for himself and his sister several times over now... But, he makes up for the ones who don't get as much." she said quietly.

"So. Who is he, exactly?" Trace asked quietly, curious. After all, if he took her across the city, he thought he deserved to know who they were running from and why.

The woman obvserved what the girl in front of her was doing since this had only happened one time before. She was intrigued and fascinated by how the cards appeared, but having received those instructions, she did let her hand drift to ten different cards, handing them to the girl.

Revy sighed, she did have a point, "He seriously does. Then again, he's a pretty boy doing a job that requires this. But have you seen what she makes sometimes?" She asked, knowing Tia would know what she meant by that.

Trisha sighed heavily, sinking down to the floor, both minding her skirt but not at the same time. "He.... well, he knows me from where I'm from. He was a friend of mine, a close one at that. He probably wanted to date me, my parents thought it was a good idea." She started, brushing her hand through her hair. "So yeah... him finding me will probably start loads of s**t. I gotta find a new spot to play at." She looked up to Trace, the light from the movie reflecting off her eyes.

Tia nodded. "I hope she realizes he makes enough for her to not need to do anything on top of her writing." she said quietly.

"Gotta love parents... Always meddling and thinking they know best." Trace muttered, eyes dark and unreadable. Though, it was probably a good thing, as he seemed to be growing darker and darker. Luckily, not many at the theatre had seen him when he was mad, and none when he snapped. But, loosing his temper had been the reason he had to leave.

Kiara moved the remainder of the deck to the side. Then she began the reading. She placed the first card. "This card represents the prime energy manifest in your life." she said as she placed it on the table, before looking at the card. "The Six of Cups. You have many opportunities ahead, the card signifies coming events." She placed the second card above the first on the table.

"The card represents Air. It describes your spirit, process of thought, and the influence of reason." she flipped the card over to reveal the face. "The Ace of Wands. You had a false start, and feel as though your existence is empty. Perhaps plans were cancelled as well?" After the answer she moved on to the third card, placed to the right of the first card.

"This card is Fire. It describes your motivations, creative energies, and the influence of passion." The card was flipped over. "Rejuvenation. You wish you could forgive and repent, or another would admit responsibility for how oppertunities were used. You perhaps wish for rebirth, or at least improvement."

The fourth card was placed below the first. "Water. It describes your emotions, meditations, and the influence of love." With the flip of the card she paused, then continued. "The King of Cups. You were involved in dishonesty and scandal, and felt a sense of loss and injustice."

The fifth card was placed to the left of the first, completing the circle. "Earth. This is your physical presence, position in life, and the influence of the material world." Her eyes grew sad as she saw what the card was. "The Hanged Man. You made a useless sacrifice. You gave everything you could, but it was for nothing." She didn't need to hear the woman's answer to know the words were true by the physical response.

The sixth card was placed on the bottom left of the triangle forming underneath the cross. "This represents one of two opposing forces. . . The Two of Cups. Your love was unsatisfied, and you seperated from your lover." Her blue eyes were sympathetic. "I'm sorry, dear." she said quietly, before continuing.

The right bottom point of the triangle was formed with the seventh point. "This card opposes the Two of Cups. It's the King of Wands. You're an honest woman, kind and mature. You're devoted, which is why it hurt so much..."

Kiara placed the final point in the triangle, directly below the bottom card of the cross. "This is the reconciler. It's the force that will resolve the conflict between the two corners. You picked the Queen of Swords. You'll becoming quick-witted again, and act yourself. Perhaps a man, a widower, might heal your heart."

She placed the final card between the three points of the triangle, filling out the bottom line and completing the vertical line running through the cross and triangle. "This is your final outcome, unless you do something to change your situation. Fate isn't set in stone, it changes as decisions are made and changed." she added, her eyes flickering up to the woman before down to the card she turned over. "The Sun. This card signifies many things for you, my dear. Satisfaction, success. Love, joy, devotion. An engagement and a happy marriage. Things will brighten for you, dear. Have faith." she said with a smile.

(( I'm sorry, but I'm not entirely sure what to say in reaction to the reading so if it's lame, I apologize ahead of time. ))

The woman listened and examined each card as the girl in front of her explained each. With some things that were explained, she did lower her eyes, or was reminded of an experience depending on what it was. At the end, she held her breath for a moment, but was pleased with what she saw, relaxing as a smile grew across her features. "Thank you so much." She made sure that she had paid the girl before she turned to go, "Have a good day." She called before leaving.

Nathan stepped forward to look at how much she made, smirking at the result of it. "Pretty good hm?"

Revy grimaced, glancing to where the girl normally slept amongst the seat, shaking her head. "She's been trained to do that since birth practically. I doubt she'll end up stopping anytime soon." She murmured, remembering what she had found when she had found the siblings together.

Trisha grimaced and gave a scoff, thinking that perhaps she noticed something, but then she gave up on whatever that thought was. "Yeah. I wanted to keep my band going. They wanted me to go off to some college. Alden was the bassist." She muttered, remembering everyone that she had to leave behind in order to try and maintain her freedom and follow after what she wanted to do. Looking back up to him, she forced a smile, "Are you ok up there?" She asked since he seemed mildly upset.

Kiara smiled at the thanks, dipping her head and accepting the money with a soft thanks. "You too..." she looked up to her brother, smiling and nodding. "Better than most. But I'll have someone later who doesn't like what I say and they won't pay, or will give only a little. I'm not sure which." she said with a shrug. That was how it went, and the cards had told her so this morning. Riches followed by a miser.

"I know. But still. I hate to see any of our girls sell themselves unless they just love it, and I don't know that she does." Tia said quietly, sighing. But, there was nothing she could do about it.

Trace nodded. "Fine. I just, have issues with over-contolling parents who insist that they know what's best. I'm just glad they didn't get out of the house when it burned down..." he muttered, some of the hatred he held for his parents apparent in his tone. He tilted his head back against the seat/wall, closing his eyes and pushing the memories of finding his little sister out of his head. He didn't want to remember seeing her brutalized and lying in an alley. Seeing how they'd taken their time with her...

Nathan sighed, cracking his knuckles a bit before kissing her forehead. "Have no fear of that, I'll make sure they'll pay. Well, unless I have to go to work at that point." He smiled at her sweetly, then stretching.

Revy's grimace only increased a little bit at that, reminded again of how she had found those two. "She doesn't. At least I don't think she does. She's.... got a lot of issues." She just said softly, pulling out a piece of pizza and eating it, plopping down in one of the chairs.

Trisha only raised one eyebrow a little bit in reaction to the last bit of what he said. Pushing herself up, she touched a hand to his shoulder, massaging one muscle a bit before she took a step towards the door. "hey... do you want me to get you something? Or do you want to head back to the theater for now?" She asked him softly, knowing better than to press, her eyes for once showing a bit of softness instead of just a sort of distance.

((amarth? pretty pretty please? And I'd posted in Safety, too... ^^;; ))

Kiara smiled, starting another reading, this time looking for information on their caravan. The smile faded a moment later. "Nathan." she murmured, pointing to two cards. The Devil and Death. "They're gone. Burned." she whispered. She flipped another card, and then she froze, closing her eyes to fight back tears. "All of them. Burned alive and robbed for what they had." she whispered, bowing her head and allowing her hair to fall in front of her pale face. He knew that their caravan had little in the way of value. They had enough to live, but for the most part they spent everything they earned on food or occasionally cloth or materials for new items for their trades. They weren't rich and worth torturing for money.

"Poor thing. Almost wish the b*****d got worse..." Tia said quietly, taking a piece too and sitting beside her sister, somewhat more dignified than flopping down.

Trace reguarded her for a moment. "I'm fine, lets go. If you think it's safe." he said quietly, recognizing the softness and not very appreciative. He didn't want sympathy.

(( Ha-HA!! i'm ignoring the paper I should be writing and posting here for once instead! ))

Nathan was looking around when she spoke his name, no smile on his face since he could tell by her tone that what she had to say was nothing that was to positive. And he was right, a darkness flittering across his face as a grimace grew, looking down to the cards that were laid out on the table. He had watched them enough to know what they all meant, looking them over to be extra sure, though it wasn't like he didn't believe or trust her. It was just one of those things that he had to look at himself. He was shocked that he could hold the expression that he had, instead kneeling down next to his sister and putting an arm around her shoulder, holding her gently. "Any idea on who did this?" He asked softly, a fire burning within his chest amongst the pain, completely ready to drop everything and go kill some bitches. But he didn't let her see such feelings for now, she didn't need to.

Trisha glanced out the door, picking up her guitar case before her eyes turned to the screen. "Yeah, lets go. I want to head back to the theater. Probably best if I ask the sisters what I should do." She murmured, walking past him rather quickly, leaning out the door to see who was there, finding just the normal people. She then strolled out casually as if she need to leave early, her long hair flowing around her shoulders. Then she felt a hand grab her arm tightly. A voice whispered sweetly in her ear, "Come along darling, we need to talk."

She tried to bring up her case to knock him upside the head, but he ended up pushing it away. "Let me go Alden, please..." She asked of him pleadingly, hating that no one was down that particular hallway. The ticket taker was too far from them. Alden pulled her closer, his grip hurting her, making her wince. She shrank away from him as he slid his arm around her waist and pulled her along to the door to leave, her guitar case held tightly in one hand.

Revy sighed heavily, glad that Tia hadn't seen all that was done to the ******** like she had seen. She had her connections within the police department and she had seen the case photos. It was rather creative and well... almost disgusting even to her who loved her violence and gore. "Well, at least they are fine now, for the most part." She glanced up, hearing a pigeon fly up into the rafters, the sound rather startling between the two of them.
PostPosted: Wed Oct 21, 2009 6:53 pm

Kiara leaned into him, not answering immediately and instead turning more cards. She was silent a long moment, piecing together what the cards told her. "Robbers. Desperate. Drunk. They made a mistake and covered it up. They're long gone now..." she said quietly, carefully stacking her cards again. She wouldn't be doing any more readings today. Not after that...

Tia nodded. "True... Very true." she murmured, glancing up at the pigeon. It had surprised her, though she didn't show it at all.

Trace had followed her out, just far enough behind to still be in the room when Alden grabbed her and pulled her away. Once he got outside he saw them close to the door. Muttering darkly under his breath, he went after them, debating whether to tell the guy to "******** off, she's mine," or just punch him and run off with Trisha. Either option would work, though the thought of breaking someone's nose was more appealing at the moment.

Nathan's eye twitched, his grimace deepening further, knowing it wasn't worth it to go on a vengeful streak to get the guys who did that to their family practically. "Dammit all...." He muttered, kissing her forehead gently. "Do you want to head back to the theater?" He asked softly, noting how she had stacked up the cards. "Maybe they actually have food for us hm?"

Trisha saw Trace, trying to aim a kick at Alden's legs so he'd let go and she could go to him, but he blocked it which surprised her since he normally couldn't fight back before she had left. Instead he elbowed her in the stomach hard, sinking to the ground which slowed him down a bit. He tugged her along, slinging her over his shoulder, picking up her case as he walked quickly away, knowing that there was a man with her, not sure if he was going to come after him. "Don't take me back... please Alden..." She wheezed out, a hand holding her skirt down.

Revy looked towards the door, noticing one come back, pointing to the pizza so they'd get some. "Looks like we'll get some coming back today."
PostPosted: Wed Oct 21, 2009 7:59 pm

Kiara nodded. "They will. Let's go." she murmured. She moved the table back into the yard again with his help, then stayed with him as she headed back towards the theatre.

Trace glared, running after the two. He grabbed Alden's shoulder and jerked him around to face him, his other hand flying at the man's face. He was careful of where Trisha and the guitar were, though he wasn't quite as careful not to hurt the case as he was the girl.

"Damn. Something's off today... We'll probably find out what soon enough." Tia sighed.

Nathan helped her move what she needed to before his arm found it's way around her shoulders again, walking with her back to the theater. Once they arrived, he just gave a small nod to the sisters, smelling pizza in the air. "Did you want to do anything as a memorial to them later today?" he asked quietly, since that was what they used to do in their caravan when someone passed away.

Trisha clutched to what she could when Trace jerked Alden around, doing what she could to adjust where she landed since he ended up loosening his grip on her. She snatched up her guitar case from where it had fallen, the heel of her boot stomping down on his leg as repayment for him being so rough with her and her things. Without a word she grabbed Trace's hand, breaking into a run for a back way she knew of getting to the theater. Though, judging from the crack she had heard in Alden's leg, he wouldn't be moving too fast for a while. Still, she wasn't about to risk moving slowly just because there was the likelihood of injury.

Revy sighed heavily, looking up when she saw Nathan and Kiara come back so quickly, simply gesturing to the pizza again without a word. "Well, thats part of it." She said in a murmur so only Tia could hear, pushing herself up, adjusting her top. She vanished off to find a beer, popping it open and drink it down. She came to sit back down with her sister, offering one to her just in case. "I think we may need it."
