The plot hole was exceedingly difficult to see. As soon as Shigeru went to investigate, another one opened up right under his feet and he fell into a dark stairway, which he followed down into the secret dungeon type thing where, undoubtedly, something should be happening. He knocked thirty-five times before entering.

"Uhhh..." his voice echoed with a weird "uhh..uhh..uhh..." "Errr....(err..err...err...) H-hello(lolololo)...?" He walked around in the pitch darkness, footsteps echoing loudly. The door slammed shut behind him and he jumped. He landed on his feet, but the floor was slippery and he slipped and fell on his butt, sliding across the floor.

Dorian awoke, cold, frightened, and disoriented. He looked around, remembering with a shudder where he was, and why. The chamber enclosing him was a good twenty feet cube. The slight glowing of the fungi on the walls and ceiling revealed a passage leading downwards, a few strategically placed indentations on the wall, leading up to the hole he'd presumably fallen from, and a variety of spiky white shapes on thw floor. They were of oddly familiar size and shape, evoking in Dorian a feeling of acute dread. He looked at them, and finally, the yawning horror dawned on his reluctant mind. These were, in fact, not rocks but bones, perhaps belonging to unfortunate wanderers very much like himself. He backed up, retreating to the handholds. They were slippery but climbable. Why had his unknown predecessors not escaped this way? What horrendous secret did these caves hold?

As he pondered, stunned, the implications of his discovery, a sound previously unheard came to him- a sort of scraping, or dragging, as of claws on a stone floor. He remembered the strange presence he had sensed before, as well as the skeletons on the floor. He leaped up the handholds and ran faster than he had thought he could up the passageway, hopefully towards freedom and light.

Bonnefeit ran up the slope, slipping slightly on the mold but never falling. Soon, he heard from ahead of him the sound of footsteps. Perhaps Bonnefeit was looking for him, or had organized a search party. He shouted with relief. "I'm down here! Bonnefeit! Is that you?"

The returning call was faint, but there. Dorian sighed in relief and continued up the passage.

LALALA this is boring, he goes up the passage OH LOOK THERE'S SHIGERU HI!
