I'm bored to hell, so i'll list bands of my sub-sub genre likings.

Brand New/Taking Back Sunday.(I believe they had a history with eachother? Correct me if i'm wrong.)

I like british rock- the clash and s*x pistols
HmMmM....oldies rock- the ramones and the who
80's rock- gun's n' roses and areosmith

Peeko Knight Reaver Peeko punks dead and has never and can never be revived, its impossible. Peeko thats why i asked cause alot of stuff thats called ska these days is so far from what ska was originally, even ska revival sounds alot different to early ska and op ivy just took that and made it punkier. no doubt did some good rock steady stuff but they were still pretty different to the original stuff like the skatalites or toots and the maytals etc.

You are sentenced to read the emo guide so you may discover what emo is. I'm pretty sure all american rejects are a guitar-pop band though i've never heard them.

I think they're kind of sub grunge pop alternative.

Its seems that these days if people dont know what genre a band is, they just call them emo for some reason, most of them dont know what emo actually is. wikipedia The music industry has eagerly appropriated the term "emo" as a marketing tool. Consequently, the emo label is now wrongly applied to a wide assortment of many diverse guitar-pop bands, such as Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, Senses Fail, Hawthorne Heights, Weezer, the New Amsterdams, and more recently to quieter, acoustic-driven bands such as Dashboard Confessional. Bands such as Bright Eyes are often mistaken for emo but are not.

Peeko Karu_Chan I don't blindly label things emo, I am just going by what my brother said, if anyone evr thought Hawthorne heights was an emo band, they need brain surgery or somthing.... i never heard hawthorne heights but apparently people call them emo. WTF??? xd How could people call them emo? They sing about how thier heart is in Ohio, that isn't very emo.
