Cadassi nodded, turning to follow the small path to the little garden. Looking around for somewhere to sit, he decided that the closest thing to a seat was the ground. Sighing, he pulled to a stop and gave Leitha a small push.

"Sit here, okay? I have a first aide kit in my backpack." he said, not waiting to see if she would be her usual self and ignore him. He just took of running back to the resturant.

Running in, he grabbed his bag, pulled out a twenty and tossed it on the table, then ran back outside to Leitha.

"Bleeding is bleeding, Leitha. Here, let me see if you need stiches, k?" he asked, holding out his hand for hers.

Leitha ignored him for the most part, picking a plant from the garden that excreted a substance that would heal her hand quicker even if it wasn't nearly as 'efficient' as stitches or other means.

When he returned her hand had stopped bleeding, and it was clear it was deep but not deep enough to warrant her getting stitches. "It's fine see?" He held it up to him to see, the fact that the bleeding itself had stopped was amazing with just the use of the plant. But then, it was a magical isle.

"Now really, stop worrying so much Sharky. I do worse than this with my power all the time" The naiad giggled, she liked that name for him, sharky. Hehe.

Cadassi sighed, a bit disturbed and dissapointed at the same time. On one hand, he couldn't see how she could remain so calm and nonchalant about a hole in her hand. On the other, he had really wanted to fix her up and show her...

What had he wanted to show her? That he was responsible? That he wasn't just abumbling idiot driven by his fear of her insanity? That he could actually be worth something to her?

Literally shaking those thoughts out of his head, he turned to stare at her again. He didn't even notice his new nickname, all he heard was the second half of her sentence.

"So that's what happened to my foot!" he exclaimed, backing away from her.

In this state she probably wouldn't mind if Cadassi had tried to whoo her. Leitha would probably fall to whatever he asked of her, if he asked it, without much hesitation. The female gave him a smile, looking quite innocent. This much wasn't on purpose either, her current expression was exactly as she felt.

"I'm not in full control of my power. That wasn't on purpose." Leitha shrugged, wiggling her fingers as it testing her hand to see how well it was healed. "What do you do Sharky?" The naiad asked, looking up at him.

Cadassi just stared at her again. He seemed to be doing that a lot lately but everytime he turned around, she was confounding him. Then again, she was just a bundle of suprises tonight. He was starting to think she had a split personality.

His mouth made a suprised little oh at the nickname for him. Reaching back and embarrasedly petting his fin, he asked her to repeat her question.

"What do you mean, what do I do?" he asked, hoping to distract her form that horrible embarrassing petname.

She tilted her head, looking at him. If she didn't know better, Leitha would think that he was staring at her chest! That was a nasty thought she didn't care to try and comprehend right now... But it would have been flattering to know that someone liked her looks enough to stare...

"Your power~" The naiad smirked, "I got the light stick thing-a-ma-bob, what do you do Sharky?" Even when she was sober she was going to remember that name, it fit him soooo perfectly. At least it did in her opinion

Cadassi nearly smacked himself in the forehead when he heard the nickname again. But he didn't. Instead, he blushed a darker blue than he already was.

"Umm, I umm.." he stuttered, more than abit embarrassed now. First the first aid kit, now the nick name. She was definitely gonna label him stupid in the morning. "I can track things w-with scent. It's not prefect though." he said, hesitantly sitting himself down beside her.

Leitha's smirk turned into a very wide smile. He could track things. That would be very very useful if she could manage to sober up and try and get him to want her. But that wasn't the first thing on her mind. The naiad was rather drunk right now even if she had only had one or two.

"That sounds like it could be used a lot though." She tried to make the creepy smile turn into a nice one, not much success. She just wound up looking creepier. Leitha's opinion of 'Sharky' wasn't that of an idiot, but as a useful tool. At least to an extent, she was still incapable of comprehending a good portion of things let alone thinking of how useful Cadassi could be.

Cadassi's eyes widened at her creepy grin and he almost unconsciously scooted away an inch or so on the bench. Realizing what he had done almost instantly, he attemped to cover the action by stretching. Which was blatantly obvious but a sharkboy had to try right?

"Actually, It's very limited. I can't do it very often as it has some very...unwanted side effects." he said, watching her closely like one watches a hawk about to eat you.

Suddenly it dawned on him that the irony of the situation was oddly hilarious. He should have been the one eyeing her like a fish fillet, not the other way around. Instead, the shark was backed into a corner by the fish.

He couldn't help it. He snorted.

Unwanted side effects? "What kind of side effects?" She asked, looking at him. It was getting darker, he was getting safer with each passing minute, even if the female started to sober.

Their situation would make her laugh, had it been pointed out to her, or even if she had realized it herself. THere wasn't too much of a chance of that happening but she did have a good chance of understanding if he said it aloud to her.

"Why are you snorting?" She asked, looking at 'Sharky' utterly confused.

Cadassi stopped giggling at her confused look. Wanting to avoide the whole 'side effect' discussion completely, he instead told her why he was laughing.

"I just noticed that in the wild, this would be the other way around. I would be trying to kill and eat you. Instead, I'm cowering in a corner and your trying to kill me." he explained, his words giving out to laughter. "Maybe you should be the one with the fin, not me!"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 10, 2010 5:51 pm

She ignored, or perhaps it was that she didn't notice, that he hadn't answered her question about side effects. In any case, when he pointed it out, she laughed, "I do have fins. They're very nice." She stated, showing her legs as if she were in the water. "When I'm in the ocean that is..." Whoops, forgot she was on land for a moment.

Leitha was sobering lightly, though it wasn't enough to make a great difference. A few more hours and she'd regret drinking as much as she had. Not for the hangover, but for this meeting. At least it was going well.. To an extent. "Am I scaring you so much we couldn't meet again?" The naiad asked, almost in a childlike manner. Even drunk she knew she wanted this one. "Or should I scare you more so we can meet again?" This last line came with a smirk. Cadassi could be a valuable tool, if not a companion when needed.

Cadassi's eyes drifted down at her legs for a moment before returning swiftly back to her face. Which had turned a brighter shade of blue at her childlike pleading to see him again. and here he had thought that this date had been ruined beyond repair.

Instead of responding to her question right away, he thought about his options. First and foremost, the thought that she was crazy centered itself firmly in his head. Then, like most males, he countered that thought with logic. Maybe she could change. I mean, first impressions weren't always accurate right? Look at his caretaker. She wasn't so bad when she wasn't throwing things at him...

Deciding to take a risk, despite the trouble that seemed to follow this silver and purple niad, he nodde. "I suppose that meeting again couldn't hurt anything." he hedged cautiously, hoping she wouldn't freak out on him again.

It was dark, she was drunk, there was no chance of her noticing the change of color in his face. Hearing her words she smiled, not the creepy ones she had been giving earlier, but a nice one. One that actually lit up her face. Probably the only real smile he would see on her face for a rather long time. If she remembered any of this, he was probably going to die during the daylight, though chances were slim of remembering most of it.

"Maybe next time without that tasty drink.. Everything is spinning too fast." She shook her head, closing her eyes. The alcohol was taking effect and she was swearing it off mentally now. Vile drink. "Do you want to go for a swim? I'll show you my fins." Leitha smirked, leaning towards the blue/grey demon in front of her. Running a finger along his chin, her mouth opened, "I'd really like you to see them." Truth, but perhaps a bad time to swim. Maybe the cold water would sober the female up some?

Cadassi relaxed considerably at her smile. She was taking this well. He had expected his head in his hands and a foot up his arse, truth be told. If only he knew that next time, things wouldn't go as smoothly. If only he had a clue that she three sheets to wind.

Smiling back, face on fire at her suggestive come-on, he shook his head. "I-I-I think it would better if we wai-..." he trailed off, her touch causing his words to die in his throat.
