Fubar turned his head, ears rotating, as a second set of mechanical footsteps thundered in the distance. The gryphon made a quiet hissing sound. For the moment, it didn't seem terribly motivated to take action.
Hugo glanced between the older men, confusion smearing over his features. Such playful gestures were beyond him as well. Everything, prior to his encounter with Kaspar, had been straight forward.
He was lying to him? And the other man was taking the insult so... casually?
Turning his eyes back to Riot, he offered a hand out. He'd seen men do it within the laboratory. It seemed to be a greeting of sorts. "I mean no harm."

"I'm not a lair... Lying is bad for the chi." Ander too folded his arms across his chest. He was quite amused at confusion was written all over Hugo's face. Most Rogues could never tell when the two were fighting or not. Most of the time it was just horsing around. But they were never sure.
Ander couldn't help but chuckle at Hugo's greeting. A small barbaric kid had more manners than Riot did... It was comical.

Riot showed a grin at Ander's comment, and his eyes drifted back over to Hugo, then to his hand.
....
The rogue quirked a eyebrow at the hand, um? He would hope the boy didn't mean no harm...it was such a waste to see one die so young
"heh," Riot shot a glance over to Ander, pratically picking up what he was chuckling about. yeah yeah, so shoot him
" It's more like this around here, boy." Riot pulled out one of his arms from his chest and he moved his hand to just below Hugo's elbow and grasped it for a forearm like hand shake.
"And a name is often given." Riot looked to the younger with a tilt of his head and a watchful gaze at Hugo's own eyes.

-Another- strange greeting gesture!? Any more and he'd start getting them mixed up. With his run of luck he'd likely offend someone by doing the wrong greeting. He blinked, staggaring slightly, as the man grasped his arm just below his elbow. As his arm was released, he stepped forward to grab at Riot's other arm.
"Hugo." He said simply.

"shoot Riot, you already got him confused. I think that is a record." Ander could see the frustration on Hugo. He liked this kid. Hugo was making things quite amusing with his obvious lack of information on how the social world worked.
"We need to teach him how to use a ZOID." Ander laughed as he adjusted the eye patch. The lenses rotated quietly as information was sent to Saga and back. Absolutely no records on this one...

Riot let out a chuckle as Hugo 'greeted', "heh, You'll get it." The man spoke with a laugh in his voice rasing his hand he batted the air a little as if to shove the subject for another time.
The bandit leader showed a smirk, to the comment-yep records indeed-he had a habit of braking them. His blue gaze then turned back to Hugo after Ander's words.
"and apparently a lot more..." The king spoke with a grin, nothing to be ashamed of...
"Well, you can know me by, 'Riot'." Riot showed his wild smile to Hugo, he threw a thumb pointed up to himself.

He smiled weakly and stepped back, "Your....friend uh...", He glanced to the side, then back. "He said that I could eat here. I'm not sure where I'm going. I'm hunting a beast. Kaspar said its name was Judge."
He dropped a hand to the kitchen knife at his side, "She destroyed my village, killed my family. I'm going to see that they're avenged."

Ander's face suddenly became very serious. He had known those words...'hunt the judge'. That was the very reason he lost his title of the king of bandits. He tried to hunt the judge and ended up loosing many good rogues and nearly his own life.
"That is foolish boy." His voice was quite serious. "It most likely attacked your village because someone did wrong in its eyes... That demon claims to be justice. Hunting it is one of the worst crimes. Very few survive encounters." Ander noticed a few Rogues looking their way at the mention of that name. "I am not justifying its actions, but your life will be longer if you drop that quest and never speak its name again."

Something flicked in Riot's eyes about the vary thing that caught Ander's annetion and disrupted his 'chi'. His azure gaze moved over to Ander from the boy, he let out a sigh. A hand moved to his face as he didn't hide a casual 'face-plam' as he then drifted though his hand though hot pink his hair. ah crap..
"food. Hungry-Right..." Riot spoke and turned to walk off, yeah he wasn't about to throttle the kid about something he had plain to do-tried that once with someone he knew...didn't work. Side glance at Ander.
His arms moved to the back where he folded them and started to the flap of the tent. "I'll get you something kid." The rogue spoke "You know-to help you stomach the lecture." Riot added over his shoulder not hiding a grin.
His finger tips moved to the cig he had at his ear once more and he moved a hand to his pocket. once he passed the flap of the tent he paused out the door and lit the cig.

He knew. There was no indication in the boy's stony expression or burning eyes that he was ignorant to just what he was up against. He didn't care. Those in his village had died without so much as a chance to defend themselves. Their bodies laid under rubble and charred earth, without having been given the proper burial rite. He was alone- aside from Fubar, he had nothing to loose.
"I'm as much a man as either of you. What I chose to do with myself is my business. I'm not asking for help."

"I'm giving no lecture, just a warning." He shot a glare to Riot than back to Hugo. "It is of your own busyness, but do not bring your death here." Ander waved a hand as he turned and begun to walk out of the camp. Those memories still fresh in his head. He only saw it for a moment, but its face is burned into his mind.... yes, his positive chi had been disturbed.

Blade let out a sigh as the drunk started to shout that it was raining. No sense in trying to save a lost cause. Shaking his head to himself, he went and patted the guy on the back.
"Yeah, it's raining, so head on in and try to take it easy."
Heading back towards the rest of the Rogues, he heard the words 'the Judge' from somewhere nearby. Quirking a brow, he glanced over to see a few guys speaking to one another; one being the current king. Then, narrowing his eyes some, he just made his way a little closer to seat himself to try and listen in on what was going on.
He had only heard a few vague things about the Judge in the past. But he thought those things were just rumors and fairy tales for the most part. From the sounds of things here though, that wasn't quite the case. The thief noted that one of the men walked away as well, seemingly disturbed, so it must have been a serious matter.
Interesting..

Catastrophe growled in Saga's direction although he didn't try to advance this time.
"I didn't see it, so let it go." Marcia glanced back to the gryphon Zoid. "I'm going to get a better look at that one alright." She said moving catastrophe closer to a set of rocks, it wouldn't hide him very well but at least he wouldn't be out in the open. "Now Don't Move..." she stressed the words 'don't move' before slipping out of the cockpit and climbing down the hulking bone Zoid.
A low one toned growl emitted from the Zoid.
Marcia planted her feet on the sands and looked up once more at her Zoid warily. "Don't move." she stressed again before starting her trek across the sands and toward the camp. It was always a gamble when she left him Marcia glanced back once and smirked. He wouldn't move she was certain, and hopefully no one would discover him before she got back.
Approaching the tents Marcia's pace slowed, This wasn't going to be easy... to just walk in and take a peak at that Zoid. She stuck out like a sore thumb. She should have changed before she left Catastrophe's cockpit. Marcia curse inwardly. Marcia made her way through the tents. Maybe she should have some fun first? the thought crossed her mind, there would be plenty of time to gather information about the zoid before the night was up after all.
Marcia began walking around the main 'party' area.

Hugo was effectively left to stand on his own... half wondering what had upset the two. Perhaps they were upset, or had similar encounters with the beast he was hunting. Either way, he felt quite awkward.
At least...one had offered to get him something to eat. The trip wasn't a complete loss then.

Riot turned his head as he noticed a unfamiliar men sitting close and out side the main tent-HIS tent. the rogue would have to keep that in mind if the subject where to continue. Riot's hand from the flame as his nail as it was lit, a unnoticeable sigh left his mouth and he went to gather food.
Damn, what did the kid even like to eat?...hmm maybe something tribal-but then again he hadn't had anything to eat it sounds like. So really anything....
Finding the table that had all the food, the pirate begain to gather the richest off for the hungry guess. As he did, a breath left Riot's mouth the kid, wanted to go after the Judge for revenge.
He didn't blame Hugo, but it was a lost and foolish cause....Ander found that out the hard way and Riot himself saw 'it' first hand-his whole life you could say was destroyed by the mysterious evil creature.
After the plate was filled with meats and some fruits, Riot moved back over to the tent he had left Ander and the kid at. The plate was overfilled and his other hand had a cup with wine. This really wasn't the place to find water on easy hand, and a lot more precious.
