After playing with the bonsai Kam got me this morning, (It didn't really need anything done, since the shop we got it from took such good care of it, but I took the opportunity to familiarize myself with what may need doing in the future.) I tried reading up on my fairy mythology. I would like to know more about my origin and powers. There are about 8,000+ different legends about "fairies" across the world and throughout history. I mentioned this to kam, who said she remembered reading something in the shop about the history of my kind. She also remembered seeing something about genetics and spell casting. Honestly I wonder about her. Why did she not tell me that to begin with?! What a bimbo. She is totally out of it today. And screaming in her sleep while I'm trying to study. I may need to find another place to stay.

Needless to say I immediately headed over to the shop to check out said information. Once I got there I was interrupted by one fairy after another. First I spoke with Kimiko Misaki and touched her bloom Miyako, then Seamus arrived, and finally Tosten came. Seamus didn't do anything to get me back for my push the other day and in fact seemed friendly. I wonder what he wants? Anyway Tosten seemed a little silly. He's deathly afraid of Corvus too. I didn't remember him being that much of a monster, but he certainly is effective at execting obediance. Or so it would have seemed until I got Seamus and Tosten to go into the back room with me to look for genetic research files. We didn't find anything, but I was heartened that I could goad those two into such a dangerous action. Perhaps Corvus rule isn't as secure as I originally thought.

Anyway, I scribbled down some quick notes on genetics, but honestly it doesn't look like Corvus has found that much information and I was a bit rushed. It was interesting to note that being a summoner is some sort of mutation on the magic gene. Looks like my hope to find the secret to that power was futile. Unless there is a way to induce a mutation after blossoming, it looks like I won't be able to match Corvus in power. I may have to request a genetic profile, so that I can see how the process works.

I've had the same dream three times now. I recognized it as the same dream the second time. I tried to run faster, so that I could see what or who caused the destruction I knew I would see in the room when I got there. I didn't make it any sooner since I tripped over my long gown. I seemed to be wearing a silk robe over a night gown like I had been woken from a nap or sleeping. The third night I tried to run in the opposite direction, but somehow I ended up in the same place. I think I read somewhere that the same dream three nights in a row means something, but I don't remember what. I wonder what, if anything tonight will bring.

Sunil went out to the store alone today. She has been in a bad mood all day since the internet went down. I hope she behaves herself at the store. I'm going to have to talk to her soon about her mouth if she doesn't start to respect others a little more.

Ixtli seems to be doing well. She hasn't tried to drop by the Puri hang out in the last few days, but she won't say anything about why. I hope she is just going through normal adolescent weirdness and that nothing has happened to her there.

Today was a mixed day. At first it totally sucked because the internet went down and kam refused to take me to the library. I didn't really have anything to do.

So I stopped by the Feien shop to kill time. I had hoped to hang out with my compatriots and maybe nose around the store some more, but when I got there no one was in sight. Almost as soon as I settled in to watch the other feien and plan an entrance into their activites, Corvus flew over and asked me about my foray into the backroom. He's such a p***k, He didn't really do anything, but his whole attitude just rubs me the wrong way. Who died and made him responsible for the whole world?

Anyway, I had to go into the backroom and talk to Em. It wasn't that bad. Tosten was back there and he looked so nervous I thought he was going to melt into a puddle of goo right then and there. He needs to learn to use his backbone. I didn't even get punished. LMAO. Tosten and Seamus apparently are banned from the backroom, but I got off without a word. I'm really not sure why. I gotta watch Em. She is friends with Corvus, so who knows what her motivation is.

After that I talked to Seamus and Tosten and established that we would be going on adventures together again soon. I also met the special bloom fairy Ares. She has double colored markings and three eyes. She didn't act like she knew anything cool about herself, but I have attached her to my group so I will be able to keep a close eye on her.

I also picked up some supplies from the shop. I am going to make rune stones tomorrow morning. I will report my castings here.

Oh yeah and Tosten made me a picture. He astounds me. He apparently didn't rat me out even though I would have pegged him most likely to crack under pressure. His picture of me, while not accurate, is amusing.

Suspicious whispers were occurring outside the abode of Kamtrouble and Sunil...

"Shh, no, here - over here - stop poking it!"

... which soon led to a rapping upon the door. Upon being opened there wasn't a soul in sight except for an odd gift and a letter.



As for the gift? It was a rose wrapped cage within which a dark shaded butterfly wafted itself about on fragile wings, an equally dark rose elixir packed along with it.

........................

In the morning there would be a gift awaiting attention within kamtrouble's mailbox. It was a miniature rose, still an armful for a feien but not overwhelming as the fullgrown flowers could be. A small tag was scribbled upon and attached on the stem.

There was also a small picture stuffed into the mailbox upon closer inspection.

I handed out maps today to all of the travellers and pointed out a few locations I thought might be promising for wishstones and such.

Misty told me should would be travelling north and then getting a boat to take her to the Faolan Forest. That is a pretty long journey so I wished her luck. I do hope she'll be able to find someone to take her there. There have been more and more reports of nymphs in the forest as of late and some people are spooked. It has never really been determined whether nymphs are friendly or not. In fact I've heard that they're full of tricks and mischief. I hope they don't manage to trick her into anything too awful.

Kalais and Kawaii will be travelling together and heading to the Lake of Blaithin. I'm less owrried about them since there really haven't been reports of merpeople sightings in years! Ever since the last war they had the survivors seem to have gone into hiding.

I wasn't sure whether I would be journeying out or not, but Kamiko has asked me if I will accompany her out to the Queen's Tower. It was a bold request, that place seriously haunts my dreams. Ever since I went there for Despair, I haven't been able to forget it. I must have overlooked something while I was there. I have agreed to go with her though as it is a long overland journey. We should pass through the new capitol though, which will be nice as I haven't visited in ages.

Kamiko is out buying supplies right now, so I suppose I should as well. I also have to go talk to Sunil about this, since I think it would be nice for her and Miyako to get to know eachother a little better. That and I think some fresh air and travelling would help her attitude. I am going to leave Ixtli at home though. She and Sunil don't really get along unless they're ganging up on me and I don't really need that. Despair will also be accompanying us, but from a distance. He really doesn't enjoy the company of others and I think the Queen's Tower scares even him.

Kamiko and I should start out tomorrow and I imagine we'll be more than halfway to the capitol if we make good time.

Kamiko and I set out this morning. We actually ended up carrying a lot of stuff, so I got Carey, my ninau, out of her stable and loaded her up. I think she is happy to be out and about. I haven't been able to see her as much as I would like lately.

We were a little slow going since we had so many pets along for the ride. That and Sunil thought it would be funny to loosen the straps that were holding stuff on Carey and we had to stop and pick everything up and repack. What a little brat she is sometimes. We managed to reach the river by midday however and we stopped on one side for lunch.

After lunch we forded the river. It wasn't too bad, the water level actually seemed abnormally low which is something I'll have to check up on later, maybe on the way back. I think we'll probably be about 3/4 of the way to the new capitol by nighttime. It is probably better to camp out here rather than push through the night to the capitol. I imagine all the inns will be closed before we could get there. Besides the weather is nice. ^_^

I am so ready to kill Sunil! She has no regard for other people's feelings or property!
God, I need to calm down and get this straight, since hopefully I will be able to laugh about this someday. So, I woke up this morning to an terrible itchy crawly feeling. I had been having a terribly odd dream involving bugs, so at first I tried to ignore it. But then I saw them. There were ants EVERYWHERE in campsite, swarming over everything. Normally I don't mind bugs, but this was just too early in the morning. (I am NOT a morning person.) I screamed and flailed and woke up Kimiko.

After Kimko and I calmed down, we tried to figure out what had attracted all the ants. The first thing I noticed was that Sunil was laughing hysterically at Kimiko and I's response and that poor little Miyako looked incredibly hyper. I lunged for Sunil and luckily she was laughing to hard to notice me coming.

Using my powers of persuasion I got Sunil to blurt out that Miyako had started it, but she would not squeal on what exactly he had started. Eventually I let the little twerp go and while I and Kimko tried to de-ant our camping supplies she just sulked over on a rock.

In the course of picking up and shaking out everything we owned, we noticed there was an empty container of chocolate chip cookies. This explained why Miyako was hyper, but not what had lured all the ants. But Kimiko used this to talk to Miyako and he eventually revealed that he and Sunil had had a chocolate chip fight the night before.

I have absolutely no doubt that Sunil is behind the whole thing. She knows that Miyako gets much too hyper when he has sugar! And she is smart enough to figure out that food laying around will attract animals.

As a result of the whole thing, Kimiko and I's food supplies are incredibly low. Luckily, we ought to be able to reach the new capitol by midday and stock up there. I had hoped to simply pass through, but I think we'll stay the night. That way we'll have plenty of time to shop and possibly get some clothes washed. I definately want a warm ant killing bath as soon as possible.

Sunil and Susu got lost in the walls of my house today. So instead of doing my homework I had to spend my morning looking for Sunil and Susu. I woke up and noticed that neither of them was in their spot on the bedstand, but didn't really think anything of it. It wasn't until after I had breakfast that I started to wonder where they had wandered off to. I looked everywhere and couldn't find them until I thought I heard Sunil yelling from one room. I tried yelling back and following her voice, but honestly I didn't even consider she might be in the wall. Luckily Ixtli is a lot smarter than I am and led me to the hole in the closet Susu and Sunil must have used to get in. Apparently they could have gotten out anytime after I originally yelled, but didn't feel like it.

Sunil said they had wandered in there this morning only to get cornered by a mouse, which is when she had yelled. When I yelled back, the mouse skittered off and Sunil and Susu just decided to wander around some more. I'm probably just lucky they didn't find something and wander back out with it.

I mean Sunil did get a jar of eyes delivered yesterday. I guess she went to some alchemy shop in minishops and ordered them and some magical rose of sidhe. Supposedly the eyes are good for spells and the rosehip should make Sunil look young forever in the eyes of others. I was totally skeptical and grossed out so I had her hide both of them in the spare room closet. She now refers to that as her lab, although as far as I can tell all she has in there is the two jars from the alchemy store and the stuff she got at the Feien store. I have noticed she has been carrying around some blue gem she bought with her allowance with her everywhere lately.

I am worried she's picking up poor habits from Ixtli as well. I swear Sunil never exercises and she is always trying to sneak sweets, so I tried to get her to join me for Pilates the other day. She totally turned her nose up at that, but we managed to reach an agreement. She saw some movie on TV and decided she wanted to lift weights. It took me forever to figure out how that was gonna work, but then I dug out a super old set of K'Nex I had in the attic and we rigged up a little barbell and I showed her she could take off and put on different size gears to have more or less weight. She seems thrilled and dragged a bunch of the set off to her "lab".

She is a pain, but at least she is talking to me again. After the whole camping trip I didn't know if she would.

Sunil has hauled off her diary to the closet, so I won't be able to transpose what she says into here anymore. I honestly don't know what she thinks she can hide from me since we live in the same house, but whatever.

I peeked into her "lab" in the guest room closet yesterday while she was outside playing with Susu, and I didn't see anything too suspicious. I felt bad snooping on her but I have to admit I was curious. She has it all set up with the stuff she got at the store, her bonsai, her makona (I think she uses it as a giant plush armchair.), her "weights", and her weird jars of eyeballs and that rose. I asked her if she wanted to move her bed into there from my room, but she said no. I'm actually pretty glad since I would like to be able to interact with her every once and a while.

Not much has been going on with me. I entered the Fa'e contest describing my dream. While I am hopeful that Anya will find my Fa'e, I realize that many people have entered and the odds that I will win are pretty low. It makes me very happy that I have Sunil.
