I suppose they distract you... But for us asexual plants (I'm a Venus Flytrap domokun ) the holes are clear, as is the fact that omgthereisnowayhewilltieitallupitsgonnabesodisappointing. gonk

2-3 books to go. And then he will do another two prequels, to make a trilogy with New Spring.
The books had to end sometime...

I like series' like Raymond Feist's, where it never ends. He just keeps going back to my fav characters, and find new places on the map to use as setting, and showing my fav characters' descendants.
The Neverending Story. xd
There can be a climax per book. No need to waste all the climaxing in one big hit at the end of the series... spread it around.
