I love this show and the comic. It's great. Riley and Huey are so damn cute. Although, they do say "*****" a little too much for my tastes--that word makes me bristle--but all in all, I quite enjoy it. 3nodding
[I agree, they do over-use that word...but have you heard how little kids talk these days?? I think the creator was trying to show "real" black people (to the extreme xd ).]

[I didn't know that, but I knew the voice actor(s) was female.

I think I'll consider that as a career option: It seems really fun to be a voice actor, and with kids cartoons probably being the #1 source of employment for that field, it should be pretty easy to get a job as long as you have some acting talent. 3nodding ]

Yeah, I tried voice acting in some Flash movies. Didn't turn out so well razz

But, Regina King? I never would've guessed. I mean, I kind of figured it was a female, but never would've expected it to be her. It does kind of sound like her, now that I think about it...

yeah, you can totally tell it's her. it's a little unlike her to do that, but still, you can hear it, especially Huey.

It's alright I mean I don't whether it's suppose to be funny or just put out there to start up a s**t storm of debates as to why has adult swim lost their minds or budget to put that om air.

I think it's a bit of both. Though, I don't see where much of the controversy is. It's funny to me, and I'm black. Sure they stereotype a lot, but that's what makes it funny. I guess some people figure it gives black people a bad name, but eh.

[I don't think the Boondocks gives black people a bad name anymore than "Blue Collar TV" (making fun of "rednecks" and "hillbillies") makes West Virginians/Georgians/Kentuckians look bad. xd

Are you kidding? Adult Swim raves over that show! The television premier raked in so much money! The only people that don't like the show would be those that can't take the context of it. I mean, in some episodes, it's commentary, and others, it's for laughs. But I think it balances out.

Although it is missing alot of the same elements as it did from the strip (and I was dissapointed and pissed as hell at the first episode), I suppose it's to seperate the two to show different sides of Riley and Huey.

Guess Hoe's Coming to Dinner- Focused more on granddad

Gangstalicious- 50Cent parody (or gangsta rappers in general), and Riley

R. Kelley Trial- On R. Kelly and black celebs

Huey's Christmas- Santa taking away from a holiday suppossed to be for Jesus (Jazmine's preaching for example), and the pagan roots of Christmas, guest starring black Jesus.

The Return of the King- State of most black people today. (Yeah, I said MOST! Cause it's TRUE!)
And of course, Huey's dream of revolution. (People finally realize what they become. Every thing didn't get fine and dandy after the Civil Right's Act. So why'd the demand for change stop? Pacification. I'd go more into it, but you can PM me for an explanation. There's a whole book on it, so at the same time, don't PM me. gonk )

But I'm still going to whoop Aaron's a** for leaving out Ceasar. ninja

[My local paper redid the comics section. I thought for sure they were going to omit The Boondocks, but it's still there~! Phew! surprised ]
