Angel sighes heavily.
"I already knew that." He says sadly. "I know a lot about you." He says, poking a button on his watch. His figure shimmers for a minute, and his black wings extend from his shoulders.
"Wha..." Grace says, staring.
"I'm an angel, sent from heaven to guard you, keep you from going back to your old ways." He looks away. "I can do this," He says, shaking his hand. A long blade of dark energy extends from his fist, and he lets Grace stare at it before taking it away.
"The only thing I don't know is WHY you were what you were. You're a beautiful girl, and tons of guys like you, I should know." He murmurs. "Gah, I like you... but... I can't." He says angrily.
"Why?" She demands.
"Because I promised Lucia." He says sadly, looking away.

She looks away from him and shakes her head,
"and i thought I had something to hide," she says quietly. She walks over to him and hugs him tightly.
"Well if it makes you feel any better, I like you too," she said barely above a whisper.
Okay that probably didn't help she thought to herself.Pulling away from the hug her eye widen,
"Angel?" she asks.
"Yes?" he replies.
"How long have we been out here?," She turns toward him, they both smirk and run toward to class room. She walks in first with a smile on her face. Then comes Angel and the whole class turns toward the both of them,
"Where were you two?" one girls asks.
"You both get lost or something?" the teacher asks.
"No not at all," they both reply.

Angel goes through the rest of the day in a blur, until the bell rings for end of the day. He looks around, waiting for Grace to come and barrage him with questions.

She walks out the door, her mind spinning. She finds him Standing by the same tree she saw him by yesterday, She runs up to him,
"Who's Lucia?" she asks quietly, she's been wondering it all day, but was too shy to ask. she looks him directly in the eye and waits for him to answer.

"Normally, Gaurdians can't be seen, even by their charge. Lucia, she was the first to be able to see me. She was a Russian girl who lived on the street, an orphan. At the time, I had gray hair, and blue eyes, so I was uber sexy. But, anyway, she was being harrased by bullies, when I killed one of them, and I appeared to her. She was immediatly in love with me, telling me I looked exactly like an angel should look like. Sadly, I was in love with her too. She made me blood promise to love her forever, and she vowed she would come back to me." He sighs sadly. "I've waited for two-hundred years, and I'm willing to wait for all eternity."

She bows her head and frowns,
"Well I'm glad you be found someone then Angel," She tries to say cheerfully. Her eyes start to water and hurt fills her body, she turns the other way,
"Well i must be getting home, I'll talk to you tomorrow," She tries to not sound upset, but that was an utter fail, her voice cracks as she speaks. She starts to walk as she cries quietly, hearing footsteps behind her. She turns around and it's The three people from school that day,
"I'll give you what you want now i guess, There not much to live for these days anyway," She says hopelessly. They all stare at each other and smirk evilly.

Angel sighs sadly, until a ball of silver light slams into the ground. A girl about his age, with long, velvet black hair and round, jubilant green eyes stands up from a crater. On her wrist is a light silver watch, similar to Angel's.
"L-L-Lucia!?!" He cries, and the girl smiles wide.
"Took some time, but I'm here." She smiles, and tackle hugs Angel. "I missed you so much." She says, her head on his chest. He strokes her hair, and puts his face on the top of her head.
"I can't believe it! Two-hundred years hasn't done a thing to you!" He says, kissing her. She suddenly smacks him on the head.
"That girl is in trouble." She says simply. He presses the humanizing button on his watch, and they both sprint to Grace. They see the three goons from earlier.
"Grace!" Angel calls to her.

She looks at him with dead eyes,
"What do you want?" She says with no emotion in her voice. The three people all looking at him and smiling. Grace just standing there lifeless, Angel was all she had, and she felt as through she'd lost everything, nothing mattered to her anymore.

Lucia jumps into action, tackling all three people, and holding them down.
"Get the girl and go! Give her a snake kiss or something to make her feel better!" Angel jumps to Grace, and pulls her onto his back, and runs.
(Damn, Grace is so damn obsessive O.e)

(Well yeah, but i'll explain more later)
"Let me go!" she spits, trying to squirm out of his grip.
"No way, do you think i'm that stupid?" he asks, grace rolls her eyes,
"Put me down then, I'm a big girl," she says, he sighs and puts her down, by the time he puts her down they weren't even close to those people.
"God when i say put me down i mean out me down," she says while turning another way to walk home. He grabs her arm,
"I can't let you just leave, I don't trust you to not do anything crazy," he says, she sighs,
"So, not like you can control me." she says. (wow is she a brat or what)
"Okay one thing doesn't go your way and you do something that stupid,"then he says under his breathe, "Your such a brat."
"It's not even that Angel, you'll never understand why, so why do i bother even telling you?" She yanks her arm out of his grip and runs the other direction, as she crosses the street a car comes at her, she doesn't notice till it was too late to move, angel yanks her by her hair away at the last second. She screams, and looks up at him panting,
"that was close."

"You really can't do anything without me, can you?" He says. "You and me are going for a ride." He returns to his angel form, and spreads his wings wide. He scoops her up in his arms and flies into the sky. In the distance, Lucia flies up to them. Her wings are long, and blood red.
"So, what now?" She asks, gesturing towards Grace.
"I dunno. I can't just leave her alone, she's a bit of a brat. Almost got hit by a car, and I think that means my mission failed. He said that if she dies before she finds peace, my a** is fired. From a cannon." He says. Lucia giggles.
"He's such a joker." She giggles out.
"Who is?" Grace asks.
"God." Lucia and Angel answer in unison.

"Hey i'm right here, i'm not a brat," she shoots at him. Then she just waits there, not like she can try to wiggle out of his arms, she'd die. So she leans her head up against his chest and closes her eyes.

Angel looks around the city, until he finds the public park. He takes Grace's phone, and calls her mother.
"Hey, mom, would it be okay if I, like, sleep over Emma's?" Angel asks in a perfect imitation of Grace's voice.
"Sure sweetie, call me when you would like to be picked up." Angel shoves the phone into his pocket, and drops to the ground, Lucia following him. He sets Grace on the bench, and leans against the seat, sitting on the ground.

"Why'd you drag me here?" she asks weakly. Looking at her feet, pissed off that she even got mad at Angel like that, but mad that he already had a significant other. She never wanted anyone to care, she'd get too attached, like on her father. She had to lie, she never wanted Angel to know the pain she went through, her mother is a nasty person, nothing Grace does is ever good enough for her. She just wish he knew that, so that he'd never care, so she wouldn't be his chore.

Lucia wanders over to Angel, and whispers in his ear.
"She thinks she's your chore..." Lucia smiles kindly at Grace, and walks away.
"You know, you're not a bother to me, you know." He tells her matter-of-factly. "I think, since your father is gone, you want me to fill that role, and you're confusing me with a lover." He reasons.
