I loved it. I've seen it 4 times so far. whee
No, it isnt exactly like the book. I wasnt expecting it to be.
but i do think there were a lot of scenes filmed that didnt make it into the movie for time constraints. I'm thinking there will be a lot of deleted scenes.
*hoping for an extended edition dvd*

KimCL you guys have to remember this was a two and a half hour long movie. They got in all the key points I believe, and I hope they'll have plenty of deleted scenes when the DVD comes out. You can only fit so much into a movie. THEY BETTER!!!!! domokun domokun domokun domokun

There are 2 ways to look at the movie.
1) You can look at it as a movie in which case it was pretty awesome!
2) Or you can look at it as an interpretation of the book, in which case it kinda sucked

I talked to a couple of my friends who havn't read the books, and they say it sucked as a movie because they had no idea what was going on. People who've read the book had to explain it to them.
It really sucked.

Well, I've finally seen it, and I can finally say what I want about it.
When I first went in, I had to remember to think of this as a movie I've never seen before, Instead of thinking that they have turned a wonderfull book into this rubish. Thinking of the movie this way, I can honestly say that it was an "alright" movie. Not the best, but certainly not the worst.
However, when I remember that this movie came from that amazing book, I cant help but feel alittle dissapointed. My sister, who came with me to watch the movie, had to keep asking me questions about what the hell sorry heck, was going on.
all in all...I very much hope there is a Directors cut. As for seeing the movie again talk2hand no thanks. Not unless they do alot of remodleing.
