Hello, all. I try to at least peek in here every once in a while, but yeah, it's a pretty slow-moving place.
To a question posed some time earlier:
I really started getting into astrology when I began to read about the characteristics of my sign, Cancer, and the more I read made me realize just how many of those characteristics I actually have. So, interested in learning more about myself, and the people around me as well, I began to read more. I wasn't religious at all - my parents stopped making me go to church (Lutheran.. woo, South Dakota...) and Sunday school at around the age of seven.

I guess you could say religion got me into astrology? I don't know... years back, I started reading about wicca and of course that lead to other spiritual-type things. I know that occult practices such as astrology are against the Bible...
I was sort of a lutheran before that. As a kid, I never really believed any of it... but I didn't care enough to question it.
My mom was into pagan/new age stuff and her good friend is a hardcore wiccan. My mom hates astrology, though, because of her sign. She doesn't like the fact that her sign is called cancer and that the symbol is 69.

I want to know which meaning came first. I think it stems from greek for "crab", and that the disease supposedly looked like a crab or seomthing... I don't know.
