"how many of you have gardens at home?" Xenia asked. she saw hands raise. "good good, well these will be a perfect addition in them. they also tend to attract butterfiles." Xenia looked serious when she said this. " okay next we will be handeling chemicals so You really DO need your goves and under each table there should be goggles."
marduke grabbed her googles and gloves. she leaned over to sephie "this is going to be good." Marduke smiled
"MARDUKE!" xenia screeched. "if you like talking so much why don't you teach the class?" Xenia smirked.
"okay." marduke stood up and walked towards the front of the class. " you can do this you've done it a million times before at home don't let it phsyc you out" marduke glared at Xenia as she walked by.

Ginger had put down the heavy pot so hard that it cracked. "Reparo," She whispered, repairing the pot and suddenly distracted by Marduke and Xenia. They were about to row, weren't they? Or not. If Marduke successfully told them what to do, anyways. She watched Xenia carefully for any sudden explosion, and hoped Marduke would bring it off grandly.

Trista reached under the bench again to grab the goggles, and obtained her gloves as well. As she slipped everything on, she chuckled a little at the tension between Marduke and the professor this time. She thought it was kind of marvelous how Marduke stood up to her relative like that and found it rather amusing. Better to not be pushed around in front of everybody by your elders, i suppose, Trista thought to herself as she continued to examine the two. Once she slipped her gloves on, she reached into her huge pot and started to mix up the soil a bit to get it refreshed some.

Emylee grabbed her gloves and goggles. She studied Marduke and Professor Xenia. This does not look good, Emylee thought.

"okay" marduke said loudly "place your goggles on your face and your gloves on your hands" marduke demonstrated "you will notice in front of you there are vials of purple liquid with droppers." marduke smiled "be very careful it IS and ACID. once you have replanted the plant, O and professor black forget to mention to leave the roots a little exposed" marduke eyed Xenia
"carefully place a drop, A DROP, of acid on each root. this keeps in from taking over the garden and becoming a pain." marudke demonstrated again.
"everyone carefully try it now, please."

Persephone had hidden her face behind her hand when Professor Black yelled at Marduke, who willingly agreed to teach the class. But she knew that Marduke could do it perfectly well, and sure enough she was completely natural. Sephie pressed her lips together to keep from smiling. She did exactly as Marduke said, putting the puffapod in the dirt, leaving a few roots exposed, and carefully dropping the acid onto the roots. This has been an interesting day, Sephie thought.

Again with the careful. Ginger viciously hated that word, because most of the time things went drastically wrong when people told her to be careful. Pulling the puffapod up in her gloved hand, she dug a hole deep enough for the puffapod to be covered in dirt, leaving the roots partially exposed. There, that went well up till now, she thought with a slight smile. Picking up the vial, she eyed it suspiciously. 'Just one drop, Gin.' she muttered to herself, dropping the acid onto the roots. There. Simple, wasn't it?

"Professor? didn't you see persephone and ginger do that well?" marduke smirked.
Xenia glared at her and spoke through clinched teeth "yes, i , did....."
"well?" marduke nudged her
"5 points to slytherin, and 5 points to gryffindor."

Trista parted soil in the large pot so she had room for the puffapod, then carefully replanted it into the pot, leaving some of the roots exposed. She made sure that her gloves were on properly, and reached over to the acid and got a dropper full. She cautiously squeezed one drop of acid onto each visible root as the class was instructed. She returned the dropped to its proper vial of acid, then sat back and examined hers and everyone else's work.

Miranda walked towards the greenhouse with a slight butterfly in her stomach. She hated walking in somewhere late but in this instance it couldn't have been avoided. She opened the door as quietly as she could and stepped inside "Sorry professor. I was late signing up for class and I only just got it added to my timetable"she recited automatically as she stepped inside. She noticed that a student was at the head of the class not the professor but didn't question it as she headed towards a seat near Ginger.

Ryu roled his eyes at the teacher and Marduke. They did this almost every year. He placed his plant in the soil and put a drop of acid on each root.

Glad with her five points, Gin smiled warmly at Miranda as she came to stand next to her. "Didn't miss much. Just Marduke and Xenia fighting," She whispered to her, as she cleared away some dirt from one of the still-covered roots and dropped a drop of acid on it. "Replant the puffapod, don't drop anything because you want to avoid instant flowering, and leave some of the roots disposed to put a drop of this acid on," She summarized the lesson for her friend, pulling off her goggles.

Miranda frowned at the professor's harsh tone It wasn't my fault she couldn't help but think, somewhat bitterly. She cheered up immediately at Ginger's warm voice in her ear. "Thanks for the heads up" she whispered back. Seeing a plant pot below the desk Miranda bent down to pick it up. It was quite heavy and she strained to put it down lightly so it wouldn't crack. She picked up a puffapod with trembling hands. She was a notorious klutz and didn't want to attract the professor's attention again, she seemed like the type of teacher to be quick to deduct points. Placing it gently in the soil Miranda allowed herself a relieved smile. She shifted the soil around so that only a small bit of roots were showing and paused to fish in her bag for the safety goggles she knew were in there somewhere. After battling with discarded parchment and quills she eventually surfaced holding the somewhat battered goggles that had her dragon hide gloves entwined in them. She shoved the glasses over her head in a haphazard way that she would regret when faced with the task of brushing her hair later, pulled the gloves onto her hands and picked up the acid with the air of an exterminator tackling a particularly nasty creature. Her face set with determination, she advanced towards the pot and leaned over the soil. Raising her arm to an almost awkward angle she carefully squeezed a drop of acid onto each exposed root and backed away hurriedly as if expecting it to explode at any moment. When it had no immediate reaction she allowed herself a sigh of relief. She pulled off her gloves and goggles and stuffed them back into the depths of her bag from which they'd been unceremoniously dragged. She turned to Ginger with a smile "That wasn't too bad was it?" ((OOC: I may have gone a tad overboard with Miranda's epic battle with the puffapod =P))
