Haha yeah, I'm much too familiar with the Jew stereotypes. c: Every time I meet a kid in school and they find out I'm Jewish: "What? You don't look Jewish."
I have very light brown hair, and apparently one of the stereotypes is we have dark hair. My nose isn't big, that's another stereotype. XD My ears are smaller, and we're supposed to have big ears too. I wasn't born to Jewish parents and was adopted into a Jewish family, so that's probably the reason. c:

Or just because they aren't true.

Riddle Me This, Riddle Me That,Unless you are a Rabbi, I don't see how some one can actually look Jewish, as though being Jewish is a completely different race.

Who's Afraid Of The Big, Black Bat? Depends on people's perception of race. Technically, the Jewish race is considered an actual race by many. Many others prefer to call us the "Jewish people". My own personal view is complicated.

I'm a Puerto Rican Jew. I don't look like the stereotype. One of my friends/exes is Japanese Jewish, and she certainly doesn't meet ANY of the stereotypes (okay, every now and then she gets a Jewfro, but that's it).
I get told I look like a Nazi more than a Jew...

Who's Afraid Of The Big, Black Bat? None of my rabbis in school and Temple look Jewish. Not all rabbis have beards and peyot.

Lol, I think the question was rhetorical Lummany.
This should blow all y'alls minds. When I was in junior high and I constantly had to call people out for their misunderstanding of Jewish culture/beliefs/traditions people would always says,"What, are you Jewish or something?" On more than one occasion after answering no I got the reply,"Funny, because you look Jewish." I'm blonde, my nose is of average size, I'm pale as a ghost, and my eyes go from blue to green. Maybe this claim of "looking Jewish" isn't based on stereotypes at all. Perhaps gentiles equate looking Jewish with knowing or being proud of Judaism. Just a thought.
Not to get all mystic on you, but maybe it's our energies.

Start acting nicer to people, or I will ban you. Sorry to be all "dictatorish" as you put it, but you're ruining the nice, friendly atmosphere that's been around here for years. People get sidetracked here. As long as they're generally on topic, I have no complaints- some of us are rather ADD. Thank you for your cooperation. 3nodding

It's just, there IS a stereotype of appearance. It's not just about an air of knowledge and pride for one's religion. This is a discussion on what "looks Jewish," not what the ideal Jew should strive to accomplish in being identified by their love of Judaism.
