Dmitri took off running, hugging Taylor again. Because of the height difference, he ended up carrying her. It was late, and she ended up falling asleep. "Hey! What's your problem? What do you have against vampires?"

Duzell picked up Jacen and flew out. He sighed. How many times had he told that boy to stay out of trouble?
Jacen, guessing his thoughts, grinned. "A million times, mother."
Jason slammed his fist into a table, splintering it. the beast! She had some audacity to be calling him a monster!
