Allen felt a small chill as he glanced in the direction of a mass destruction. The rain and wind were beginning to stir oddly. He could feel the wind picking up, not far, to the east of him. Allen glanced briefly to the west, his destination far off in the distance. His duty was to stop crime from happening with the use of his powers. Yet, he could feel no wrong in the direction he'd been ordered to access. His instincts and curiosity screamed. Within an instant, he made up his mind to follow his gut. He veered towards the east.
Allen hurried through dark alley ways, avoiding small debris that the wind chucked in his direction. His expression grim, his gut began to twist and turn as he drew closer to the source of trouble. The wind whipped at his jacket, threatening to overturn his body in a minute. He squinted, doing his best to keep the air from his eyes, as he tumbled out of the cramped alley.
"Oh no." Allen remarked blandly as he stared at the center of the commotion. There stood three super beings, like himself, in the midst of conflict. For such destruction, Allen felt oddly comforted at the sight. At least his night would not be boring. Yet, the bodies scattered about the place was an awful sight. He could not help, but become moved with compassion. He placed a tight force field about himself. It didn't do much to keep out the wind, but at least the debris would not strike him. Then, he stalked slowly towards the center of chaos.

Janae heard some noise stirring up and looked up, to the east. She let her curiosity get the best of her as she made her way over there, seeing Khaos. He was the culprit of this disturbance.
[Still, no laptop.]

Phase knew better than to let her guard down around the two. She gave Nightshade a wary smile . "Would you have preferred that you brought me here, Nightshade?"She asked curiosly. Suprisingly enough, the fighting and doing good never interested her, but the clashing of the desires did. Good versus Evil, it was quite fun to see how the two mixed. So, she liked to talk and tease. "Regardless, it seems as if what I came here to do is no longer necessary..." She said, casting a sidelong glance at the squished corpse of what was the last man standing. "Oh well, at least I tried...Not like he was essentially good anyways.." Phase said, stifling a yawn. Something moving caught her eye, upon focusing on the subject, she found that it was Visionary, another hero like herself. 'Me, again, among a few super human men...Great...' She thought sarcastically to herself.

"Mm... Perhaps," was the shadowy figure's verbal response, accompanied by a slight shrug. The slightly malicious grin reappeared. "If it's relaxation you're looking for, Phase, I certainly know how to have a good time. Easing tension is something I do best." Typically, Alexander wasn't a talkative man, but with the other "supers" he liked to have a little fun. To encourage a positive reaction, he flicked the knife around, and clasped it shut. "See? No intent to harm. Just a calm, quiet evening. I promise." Then he caught her eyes shifting, and followed them to see Visionary. He became instantly sullen. "Unless, that is, your fellow do-gooder is here to take you out for some coffee and empty pleasantries." His eyes narrowed, studying the newcomer with distaste. And without warning he dissolved into nothingness, became the shadows themselves. And in the darkness he waited, watching and listening.

Phase gave Nightshade a coy look, for he could not see her grin due to the mask . "Hmmm, relaxing instead of all this super nonsense? I'd take that any day..."She mused, thinking on how her life would be so much easier if she didn't have to worry about saving others, or pleasing her father. "As for Visionary, we don't see exactly eye to eye. Where he is all for the super hero act, I'm, not completely sold on it..." She explained, watching as Nightshade faded into the shadows. . "Besides, I don't even like coffee.."

Nightshade had found his way onto a support beam that had revealed itself during Khaos's carnage. He sat there, one leg hanging over the side. "Well then, the offer still stands. A night with the master of shadows if you've got the metaphorical balls to make the journey. What say you, Lady Phase?" He leaped backwards, conjoining with the darkness once more to materialize where he had stood just minutes earlier. He held out an empty hand, palm up. "Think you could handle the journey?" He had that sly smile again, a smile the could unsettle the strongest of men. For just a moment, he glanced to the side, wary of any action the Visionary might take.

Phase considered the offer. Sure, she had friends she could hang out with, but she could never be a super around them. Nightshade was also very interesting. "Under one condition...We are on neutral grounds...No trying to capture or kill the other..no harm either..." She said, intending to follow through with the deal, if he agreed to it. "If you agree to that, I would have no problem making the journey..." She said, holding out her hand like his, waiting for his decision on the statement. " After all, there is so much more we could do than try to annihilate eachother." She said, eyes lit up. For it was true, there were hundreds of things she would rather do than try to destroy one of her own kind.

Janae watched as Nightshade conversed with Phase. She leaned against the wall, maybe she missed the action. She narrowed her eyes as she examined everyone. It seemed that Khaos attracted other supers with his antics.

"Define neutral grounds," was his answer, withdrawing his hand, and scrutinizing her face, as if searching for some hidden answer in her features. As Phase completed her last sentence, he smirked. When the phrase "things we could do," arose in Nightshade's mind, the first several were rarely anything anyone else would consider interesting or attractive-- and the list typically got worse if the "we" involved a female. Still, he could perhaps be pulled from the urge to stab, cut, and otherwise maim. It would require a great deal of... personal worth, however. Phase had a strong start-- she was a super after all-- but what more did she have to offer? That was Nightshade's real wonder.

Phase waited a moment before answering, for it was simple. "Basically, no malicious intent towards the other...No hero, no villian, just super......"She said easily. She could ignore what they were classified as. Personally, she didn't feel like a hero, rogue, or villian. She just was. But, when you save a cartload of people, everyone suddenly calls you a hero. It didn't matter that it was the right thing . "If you have anything you want me to agree to as well, might as well say so. I'm up for compromising." She said, offering to let him set some conditions as well. She was curious as to what he would say, if he had anything to add. Phase's mind wandered to when he would easily slide into the shadows, curious as to what it would feel like, she let her hand form into a white smoke. The sensation was quite different. With the shake of her arm, the hand instantly re-materialized. "Hmm...." She mused aloud, awaiting his response.

Nightshade mulled it over for a few seconds before offering his hand again with a faintly devilish smirk; then again, his expression was never pleasant. This was perhaps the best that could be expected from someone like Alexander. "Then we'll remove ourselves from this noisy ********, and be on our merry way." Of course, Nightshade's mind was already working away, thinking of places to go, ways he could obtain an edge over Phase. Regardless of what she said, she was a sworn foe. Five minutes of peaceful conversation couldn't change that-- nothing ever would. So long as she took upon the mantle of a Hero, she would always be standing between Alexander and his greatest desires.

The fact that Nightshade hadn't bothered to offer up any terms made Phase wary. She took his hand, deciding to keep an eye open, not wanting to let her guard down and end up letting him get the best of her. "Lead the way, Master of Shadows..."She said, remaining cautious. Sure, part of her just wanted to abandon the whole super charade, but it wasn't that easy. She knew that Nightshade would still think of her as an enemy, regardless of any decisions or agreements they had made, and she was okay with that, she didn't like it, but she accepted it. . . .

When they became one with the darkness, the "feeling" of existence changed drastically. The easiest way for it to be described would be to compare it to a state of deep thought: if you have ever been so greatly involved in your contemplations that for a period of time you are unaware of your own body or environment, that is what merging with the shadows is most similar to. All your senses seem numbed or insignificant, and your thoughts and feelings are the foremost object on your mind. This is what Phase experienced as she joined Nightshade on a journey to the end of the shadow. This led them to the opposite end of the alley, around the corner, and to the opposite end of the block. From there, he made his way inside the apartment complex occupying the corner, slipped nimbly around rectangular pools of light being cast onto the floor, and up one flight of stairs before the twilight abruptly ended his path. Slipping into the first room, it was discovered by Alexander that no one was home.
In this rundown apartment owned by someone the Villain had never before encountered, the two rematerialized. Nightshade strode to the window and gazed out solemnly toward the horizon. While he stared vacantly, he went over all the details. Stranger's home, with no links to myself. With myself and the weapon gone, and lock still on the door, I could very well put another schmuck behind bars. He smirked at the thought. He had been in jail once, and prison as well. He'd allowed himself to be put there, and at night slunk through the cells, eavesdropping on the various captives. In his haste for the success of a kill, he got sloppy and had not realized his victim had a bunkmate. The second fellow was able to fend off Finnistre long enough for guards to break up the fight. If they hadn't cast their harsh lights in the cell, he could have slipped away. Instead, he let them haul him to prison. There, he made off with murder thrice in succession before escaping. What's more, they never got Alexander's proper ID. He never carried such information on his person.

The sensation that Phase felt was totally creepy to her. Her power rested in her physical body, so therefore, when it felt as if the only things in existence were her thoughts and feelings, she felt hollow, gone. It was as if she didn't exist. Phase was greatful when they rematerialated inside of an apartment. She looked around, it didn't appear to be someplace Nightshade would ever live. It was too bright, yellow and white walls, collectible plates inside a china cabinet, pink sofas, definately not like him at all. Of course, she never expected him to bring her to where he did live, that would be just plain stupid, they both knew it. Always protect your true identity, no connections what so ever. "So, you suggested this, what do you have in mind?..."She asked curiously, watching him as he looked out the window. She was going to be extremely cautious, doing what she could to avoid any mishaps . . .

Quite uncharacteristically, Alexander felt the urge to answer this question with blatant honesty. So he did. "Currently, I'm debating whether or not I really want to kill you here and now." Okay, so it was answered half-honestly. He was also considering which way would work best in wooing Phase to bed. That, however, seemed a slim chance if his Super status didn't create some mental allure. Thus Nightshade was going about some very redundant debates in his head over the matter. He exhaled a deep breath slowly, quietly, and turned away from the window. "Don't expect a coy exchange of small talk," he added. "I don't do small talk."
