No, but I did trip on the stairs, flute in hand, and dented it really badly to the point where it couldn't tune. Good times...

Not down stairs, but this one time I got really tired of carrying my tuba (it was in its case) around down the pathway to the bus, so I just rolled it down the hill next to us. The tuba was perfectly fine and my arms didn't fall off. biggrin
However, the case was a bit scratched up and dusty after.

OH my gosh! After reading all these stories I'm probably going to trip down the stairs and break my poor clarinet Lucy crying yes, I did name my clarinet I'm that big of a geek 3nodding anyways so many funny things happen in my band and the high school band. Here's a funny one: Well my town's high school is way to cheap to buy NETS for the football goal so Like I can't rember if it was our team or the away team but they kicked the ball into the goal and since there was no net it hit my friend Ashley in the face. she plays sax in the high school band. Oh and this other time a kid threw a pencil and it flew into one guy's tuba! biggrin it was so frickin funny. I've always wanted to see something fly into a tuba! but I felt bad for the tuba...

9, 7, 3, 6, 1
Total: 26 (5-50)

Never dropped it, but I've witenessed my senior lackey lean against his sousaphone during band camp and trash it.
Hilarious. But it was very gruesome. That poor sousaphone couldn't play anymore... let alone stay together... crying
Poor Tadder!! (that was it's name)

I've only dropped my instrument three times, though i have fallen with it in my hands a couple times(in the case)
First time: Way way back in elementary school and my first year in band, 5th grade. I was walking back to class(pullout band) and my shoe was untied. I tripped right as the bell rang, and my mom's old clarient spilled across the floor(Yeesh, the floor can open the case but I can't>.>)
Second time: Last year during marching season(freshman year) I was holding it and had a random muscle spasm, causing it to fall from my lap(yes, this happens a lot. Usually, it is my pencil. Not really a spasm, jsut a sudden release of my muscle. Many of my pencils and remote controls have fallen because of thisXD) Luckily, claribelle was unharmed, except her reed, but i did get a few nasty stares from my section and I felt real guilty for nearly a year.
Third time: Not even the whole clarinet, just the mouthpiece.At egionals auditions last year. I was nervouds and was trying to put my mouthpiece on the barrel, but somehow I missed(must have been shaking too much) and my mouthpiece fell and broke on the ground. Luckily this was a whole 5 hours before my audition time, and the adult in charge of watchng the clarinet audition room just happened to be a math teacher at my school and my sl's mom

I was about to put my foot on the first step of this huge flight of stairs, (not realizing i hadnt fastened my flute case all the way), when it opened up and all three parts of my flute went tumbling down a flight of concrete stairs. She was in the shop for 3 weeks. ;____;
