"Two... One..." Reina blinked out of sheer surprise as the bolts struck a far wall, missing her target entirely. But, he's so close. How... Then it came to her. The mist! No wonder it felt odd, it had to be some kind of poison that effected reaction time. "Fall back!" Reina cried to her companions. As long as they could get out of this mist, killing this Guardian wouldn't be a problem.

"I am not above the law?" Sena chuckled, sitting down on the crate again. "My family made the law, silly Guardian. And I don't think you've read our little Constitution. Article seven section nine clearly states that members of the city's ruling family have freedom from unreasonable detainment. Affiliations with any rebel group? Hah," he chuckled, looking away murmuring to himself. "You have no evidence, and I could have your entire regiment... removed. But I'll save that little chat for later. This battle looks fun." Crossing his legs and folding his refined hands over them, Senalore tilted his head slightly as he watched the battle between the individuals unfold.

Marcus glared at the Noble before him. He was wasting valuable time. It wouldn't be long until Marcus's poison would bring him to his knees. It was clear that arrogance would one day be this man's downfall. The group of Southerners had already scattered. The elf was clearly their leader. Marcus drew three different vials from his satchel and began his pursuit of their leader.

It seems that Noble was right. Giving him ten seconds to do as he pleases, Reina had put way too much confidence in hoping the Guardian would run. Stupid, stupid, stupid! What were you thinking! Reina stopped her flight and turned. She was still trapped in the mist! What's worse, the Guardian was right on her tail. Reina was an elf! Outrunning a mere human shouldn't be a problem. And the mist should have effected the Guardian too, he wasn't wearing a mask! Reina leveled her pistols once more and fired.

Poison? Sena chuckled. This certainly wasn't the first time, and it wouldn't be the last. Assassins more skilled than this mere Guardian had tried taking his live, and he had survived them. It would take more than just poison to bring this Scilliano down, he thought wryly. Spreading a small fire in a circle around him, the circle of rising hot air gently pushed away the mist like a finger pushing through dough. Sena could feel his blood beginning to boil, and as his head cleared, he looked over at the fight that had moved from his position on the crate. Stepping from his little circle, the tongues of flame quickly followed their master, dispelling the thin haze about him. "Oh come on!" He protested, as they moved further away from him. "You're moving the fight all the way over there?" Disgusted, he sat down on a nearby crate, the flames waiting on him obediently. "This is no fun at all," he sighed, looking up. "I wonder if Lily is still awake... maybe I should go pay her a visit later..."

Marcus couldn't help but grin at displeased Noble behind them, almost wishing he would be struck by the stray bolts that had passed by harmlessly. The toxin was clearly beginning to finally sink in. Reaction time slowed, senses begin to fade, oxygen drawn from the lungs until the victim finally collapses. Death may soon follow, but Marcus wasn't here to kill. Just contain. He popped the top off of a vial filled with a pinkish liquid. He called it Gummi. Probably the most innocent of all of Marcus's concoctions. It starts as a gas, but then solidifies whenever it comes into contact with flesh, imobilizing the target. He tossed the vial and stopped as it rolled lazily over to Reina.

This was not Reina's day. Everything was falling apart. They recieved only half of the promised supplies, she gave a Guardian a huge opening, and now she couldn't even hit the guy! Reina looked down as a pink vial rolled under her. She jumped back avoiding the escaping gas completely, or at least she thought. Reina was proven wrong when her left leg and arm froze up, coated in a pink crystaline substance. "...Dammit... Dammit all!" Reina continued to fire with her free hand. As long as the supplies made it to their destination, it was okay.

As the fire within him finally finished purging what was left of the poison in his system, Sena looked around, bored again. "A pity," he yawned, covering his mouth with a hand. "And things were getting interesting too, before that Guardian came." Adjusting his cuffs, he flicked a strand of hair out of his face. "I suppose it can't be helped," he mused, looking up at the night sky, hearing the festivities of downtown echoing in the distance. "It is his duty to stop suspicious activity, so he's only doing his job." Now extremely bored, Sena began heading back the way he came, called by the memory of colored lanterns and giggling girls. "I really do hope that Lily's still awake," he muttered again, taking one last glance at the battle. Oh? She's caught! This might be interesting after all... Rushing back over to his crate, Sena perched on the edge, watching the next series of events with an interested light in his eyes.

Marcus chuckled slightly as purple bolts whizzed by. He didn't doubt how accurate the elf really was, it was all the poison's fault. But Marcus got over confident considering one bolt struck his left shoulder. He staggered slightly. "Hm, one lucky shot." Marcus pocketed his two spare vials and drew another Gummi vial. This time he threw it directly at the elf. If it hit, it was game over.

Reina felt somewhat pleased as one of her shots made contact. But that pleasure faded as another pink vial was thrown. It was too late to move and made contact with her abdomine. The vial shattered as the toxin coverd her skin. The direct contact caused her flesh to burn as pink crystal began to cover her body. The mist was also getting to her, everything was beginning to blur and fade even further. Reina dropped her pistols and fell back. For the first time, she had lost.

"A pity," Sena murmured as he saw the elf fall to the pink substance. Seeing as how there wasn't going to be much more action, he curiously walked over to inspect the pink crystals. "That's very interesting, this pink substance of yours," he commented, squatting down by the fallen elf. "Did you invent it yourself?" Lightly tapping a fingernail on the surface, Sena stood up and sighed. "Well, that's that, I guess. Not much else for me to do here, so if you'll excuse me, Guardian, I'll be on my way." Looking down at the elf, Sena chucked and shook his head sadly. "I told you it was a mistake, those ten seconds of yours. Maybe you'll act differently next time." Turning to leave, Sena stepped over a stack of fallen crates and began heading back the way he came.

"I invented every thing that I use." Marcus answered, keeping his hand in his satchel. He was somewhat surprised that this Noble had yet to have fallen unconcious due to the now disapating toxin. As the Noble was leaving, Marcus turned to face his back. "One moment. Just answer my question. Do you have any affiliations with rebel or terrorist groups located in South Basis?"

Sighing, Sena looked back at the Guardian. "No," he shrugged nonchalantly. "I just came for the show. And it was a nice on at that," he smiled. "Now if you'll excuse me, good evening to you, Guardian." With that, he stepped away back into the alleyway, back towards the festive lights of the life above the surface of Basis.
Making his way through the busy throngs of people by himself now, Sena pulled the hood of his jacket, over his head, partially obscuring his face from plain view. As he suddenly cut off into a side road, the atmosphere changed dramatically. Here, there were no colored lanterns, or laughing crowds of people. Silence greeted his footsteps, as he silently made his way to the end of the alley and knocked on a hidden door. "Young Master!" Almond shaped hazel eyes widened in surprise as a slit was drawn open. "She's still waiting for you," the coy voice laughed. "She knew you'd come pay her a visit."

"Very well then." Marcus said as the Noble faded into the night. He turned his attention to his captive that was now unconsious. Marcus pulled a small radio out of his pocket. "Headquarters, this is Guardian number 512, reporting in." "Go ahead 512." "I have dispursed a group of possible rebel activity. I have captured their leader and am prepared to bring her in for questioning." "Good work 512, anything else to report?" "Yes, could you put me through to Sgt. Wallace?" "One moment..." Soon a deep and powerful voice boomed from Marcus's radio. "What is it 512?" "It's about the rebels sir, there were two Nobles with them. I've lost sight of one and the other claims no affiliation wi-" "There were no Nobles at the scene." This confused Marcus. "Sir?" "Didn't you hear me? There were absolutely no Nobles at the scene. Am I clear?" "...Yes sir..." "Very good then. Wallace out!" Marcus pocketed his radio an turned his attention back to the unconcious elf. He pulled out a white liquid from his satchel and poured it over the Gummi residue, causing it to crumble away. After tossing his victim over his shoulder, Marcus began his trek towards Guardian HQ.

Miyako walked up behind Senalore, a lot weighing on her mind. There hadn't been anything she could do, she was just a Noble, not the ruling family. Yet perhaps at some point there might be a way to free Reina and help her to escape damnation. However, she would need someone's help! Miyako put her hand on his shoulder and spun herself around to face him. Miyako was acting bold, and trying not to let emotions get the better of her, like Senalore said. Miyako leaned up and kissed him, she was acting, but it didn't appear so. The kiss was one of a steamy love affair between youth, celebrities of sorts, though his was of a different nature. "Unfortunately he's been detained by better fare with less usage", She called sweetly, after she called back. Miyako pulled out a small bag of money and tossed it to the woman standing in the doorway. "Compensation, but I'm afraid I'm just not done with this one...he's quite like a drug isn't he?", She asked, her voice warm and lusty.
Miyako turned around to face the woman, almost winding her body around Senalore's like a vine. The look she gave the woman was hot, like melted honey, yet it conveyed Miyako's sentiments strongly. Simply that he was her's tonight, and Miyako's status was nothing to be taken lightly. She could cause plenty of trouble for the prostitutes if she felt they were interfering with her fun. "I thought I told you lover, you needn't come here tonight", She said, her smile slow and sensual. Miyako slid away from him and tugged him by his hand away from the building. She really hoped he wasn't going to look into her actions beyond face value once she explained herself. Yet oddly enough Miyako got a sort of kick out of putting the shock on the madam's face. Finally out of ear shot and sight, she dragged him into a narrow dead end alley. "We need to talk", Miyako said, the heat from her voice had changed.
