I've only written fan fiction once.
It was Tokyo Mew Mew fan fiction.
Complete with "Japanese" names.
It definitely failed. A lot. gonk
I'll see if I can find it...
EDIT: Nah, it's gone for good. Thank God.

I'll admit it. I wrote a Death Note one, and only just fixed it up. More like it stayed inside my head. I still do write fanfictions where OCs have canon boyfriends, but I can't stop myself. They're well-written OC's.
The Death Note one was OCxLight. gonk It failed. It was not true to canon at all, and it made death seem "cool" and if it spread through the internets, a thousand emo kids would be reading it and go "cool!" Even my friend Sarah, with an eye for badly-written characters, liked Anna-Marie and her dark, emo ways. I changed it so Anna-Marie (Mary-Sue?) is killed and replaced with a better girl. Anna-Marie was a self-insert. (my real name isn't Anna-Marie though, It's Rose) I just took away all my bad characteristics and replaced them with "better" ones.

You've once again
stepped into the world
of survival horror. I've written...several. Luckily my writing has much improved. I still write fanfiction, (Resident Evil, Spider-Girl) but it's not failfiction. I remember this one story I wrote from like..4th grade to 5th grade...omg. Granted, I had MUCH better grammar and spelling than Dally, but ********. My storyline was about as bad. We're talking: ALL IN ONE ******** FANFIC. And the main character was the biggest Mary Sue that ever existed. She was a half-saiyan from Namek (yet was not Namekian (sp?).) who could travel through time with a pendent and saved the world from Lavos. She then becomes a police officer at the NYPD who runs into a zombie outbreak and then SOMEHOW acquires a Samus-like suit...and then walks to the next town over that JUST SO HAPPENS to be OLD TIMES like in Zelda, where she magically becomes a HALF-SAIYAN HYRULIAN FROM NAMEK who is now a ******** Dark Knight in search to be a paladin. Oh, and somewhere in there, she gives birth to a baby and names is Crono. And her name? Tenchi Girl. -_- If the fear

Back in the day, I wrote some REALLY bad DBZ failfiction.
And some REALLY REALLY bad gundam witg stuff too...
crying I wish I had some of it to look back on and laugh

I think everyone who has written a fanfiction started off writing failfics, thinking they were decent fanfictions.

When I was young me and my best friend (coincidentally also named Lauren) used to draw comics of ourselves with anime characters. I used to write failfictions of all sorts of animes and things. gonk The shame.
It's lulzy to look back and read it now though.

I've written so many failfics in my time and all of them have self-insertion. Even today you can still find a bit of me in my characters, although I think that's natural. I did do one REALLY bad one. It was basically an alternate me who managed to make a mirror appear that could let me go to different worlds with Disney characters. I got 3 chapters in and abandoned it. Though it is on the internet I'm way to ashamed to show it. It's blackmail worthy. >_<

SarcasticIrony I did a few years ago... Harry has a twin sister that goes to Hogwarts with him! Yay! Failfic! When I was like 10, I started to write an HP fan-fic with Harry's long lost sister Harriette. Good thing I only wrote the first chapter down and never posted it anywhere. It was terrible.

I do remember doing some failfiction thingie at age 12.
It was about Yu-Gi-Oh!^^
Back then I was sooo a fan of Kaiba. rofl
And I was suposed to be Yami/Yugi's cousin, a,d evryone, incluing Marik and Bakura loved me.^^
Oh, and Pegasus was my adoptive father. neutral
