"That is very generous of you Captain, now if You don't mind I'll excuse myself while you tend to business. I'd like to have a word with Spock as well." Sarek offered the slightest nod of his head as he backed away from the captain and began to leave the room.
He supposed he would find Amanda for teh time being, then discuss their travels with the other Vulcans aboard.

"Don't worry yourself dear." Nurse Chapel smiled as Uhura rushed to work. That was just like her. She stood herself, she figured she should head to Sick Bay and be sure everything was in order for the nurse who would be replacing her, it was the least she could do. It probably wouldn't be any easier for someone who didn't know the crew to assimilate now.

"Mister Spock!" Chekov was attempting to keep quiet, however, it didn't work so well, "Is it true sir? Is Starfleet command replacing crew members on the ship?" He looked around, "Party purges are never a good sign, sir."

Uhura clicked back her comunicator. "Captine Starfleet says, they have no record of any Star Ships being sent to Vulcan."

Spock had heard the the nurse was going to be switched to a new ship. "It is true Nurse Chapel is being reassigned to a new ship, but only becasue the ship is new and needs experianced cew members to help run the ship."
Amanda was lost, she could even begin to imagine who it was Spock would posibaly be willing to have a relationship with. Being in a reliationship with a Vulcan had many challenges, and she didn't know who would be willing to take on the challenges, she didn't know the crew well enough.

"What? If this is true what is a craft doing orbiting around Vulcan? Can you put me threw to the captain of that vessel? We need to see what they are doing there." Kirk said to Uhura. He then turned around and shouted "Ambassador Sarek There is a problem concerning your planet Vulcan!"Kirk started running to where the ambassador went.

"sure thing capitan, but it is going to be rather dificult, I don't know what frequencie they are on, or the name of their ship, can you ask the ambastor if he knews the name, that would help." She said hoping Kirk had cought it all.

Sarek walked in the direction that Kirk had sent him, and came upon the open door with the small Russian man in the doorway, "Wife," Sarek stood beside the man in the doorway and adressed his wife, "We will be on the Enterprise for the next three days, I will be assisting Captain Kirk in the Starfleet orbiting Vulcan problem, because logic would indicate that the vessel would not be occupied by true Starfleet members."
He gently put out his hand for her to take, "If you are through with Spock you can accompany me, I am going to find our engine-"
Sarek was cut off by Kirk calling him. Sarek remained calm, "Yes Captain?"

"I will. I just need to catch up with him. Thanks Uhura." Kirk said as he rounded a corner he almost ran straight into the man he was looking for. "Ambassador you were right the Starfleet did not send that vessel. Do you remember the name of the ship?" kirk asked skidding to a stop

Spock didn't expect a greeting from him father, so it was fine he did not get one. Besides he was busy talking to Chekov.
Amanda was standing up to take Serak's hand. She grasped it lightly and turned to see the capitan running up.

Uhura was on the fith channel calling out to the orbiting ship of Vulcan. and so far she was unable to get any kind of resonce form the ship. "Maybe I just haven't hit the right frequncie yet." she mumbled to herself as she switched channels once again.

"Of course Captain," Sarek wondered for a short moment why Kirk would think otherwise, but he wouldn't dwell on it, "The ship was called the U.S.S. Amistad."
Sarek continued to hold his wife's hand and escorted her out of the room to stand beside him.

"Thank you." Kirk said to Serek and flipped open his communicator "Uhura the name of the vessel is U.S.S Amistad. Hopefully that will get us contact with them." Kirk said to Uhura

"So we are safe?" Chekov's posture lightened up a bit now that he felt safe, he straightened up and sighed, "Alright, i should get back to my post naow. Thank you commander." He gave Spock a quick nod and left, nodding to the captain on the way out, "Back to my post!"

Uhura heard her comunicator. "Thank you captian." She began back at the first chanell she had tryed sending out the call "U.S.S Amistad, come in, this Luetenat Uhura from Star Ship Enerprise, do read, come in." when she didn't a reply, she moved onto the next chanell.

Amanda gave a small gasp and pulled her hand gentaly out of her husbands. "I all most forgot." she walked back over to Spock. "we will talk some more." She smiled and hugged him yet again.
Spock was once again at a lose. Hug her, or done't hug her? "Yes mother." He said this time making no move to hug back.
Amanda gave up and returned to Serak's side and retook his hand.

Instead of taking his wife's hand this time, Sarek put up his two fingers up in the closest sign of affection anyone could expect from a Vulcan, waiting for his wife to press her fingers to his, in other words, returning the gesture.
"We should gather the rest of our crew, as they have the right to know what we are learning now."
