Scientific names, but ethereal enough in name. So, any other questions come up? I seem to be getting rather positive reviews here . . . so either only my friends are paying attention, others are intimidated, or people are liking it too much to argue. sweatdrop

I don't have any other questions presently. It is a really solid idea, and I hope that you will set it up and that it will be well-populated by decent roleplayers.
If this will have its own guild (and it looks like it probably will), you could make Kyou's guild into a kind of sub-guild of the RPR. That would effectively make this roleplay idea into the RPR's official mass rp.

*runs and rings a random hanging bell [a small one that isn't very loud]*
Quest~ion!!! Say two of the weres were to reproduce and make themselves a baby. And say that they were of two different "breeds", one being a "Pelt" and the other being a "Scute". The child is intermix beyond what ungodly chances there are. What breed is he or she considered?

Good question, old friend.
If two weres did mate, and a child were born, there is a very high chance (85%) that the child will be a shifter. The child will follow the gene line of the same sex parent as discussed earlier. If you are asking about the intermix of creatures, which can happen for either intergroup or intragroup species, is a near impossibility. approximately 3% of the shifters born of these unions are equal mix of both parent species.
These fusions have the most difficult time imaginable. Any known cases have been swiftly stolen away becoming only a memory of their parents. Unless kept a secret, these children are never heard from again. To complicate matters, the fusions rarely can go beyond a halfway point from bestial to humanoid. Sublimating two separate animal impulses is not easy, and most cannot ever reach a full human form. Once matured, most that are this way choose to stay beastial.
There are legends of the Beastials, those that remain in animal form of several species, yet retain speech and intelligence. These creatures are not confirmed, and are something of legend. ninja

Awesome, never thought it would quite turn into a taboo or legend such as one of that magnitude, but it makes a lot of sense.
Something I thought up on the "epiphany throne" after looking through the threads again.
You've really thought this stuff through! *Impressed*

Thank you. whee Not only have I thought a great deal on this, but also begun work on creating the RP. This will take time to make all the appropriate threads and try to make the new guild look less like a stye, but the work has begun.
The reason for the taboo ties in with the ultimate leadership of the Shifters, and the reason the Arials are all but gone. ninja

*grasps at the intrigue and plot hints* I guess we'll all just have to wait until you are done with the roleplay.

Necroing this thread for my own joy. I liked the conversation here, and am trying to get up the gumption to make the umpteen million threads to build this RP. I have a few made, and subforums as well . . . but it is a lot of freaking effort.

I sure hope you get your hands on a decent set of crew. A mass role play like this will be hard to track yourself.

Right now I am having trouble finding time to simply make the skeleton. I had a good idea the other night for the state of the world they are in . . . but have not had a chance to write it down.
