Seamus heard Anna's voice from behind him. Good. She apologized, which he felt was early, but didn't say anything. Addison came up alongside him as well, whispering. Equally as quiet he murmured out of the corner of his mouth, "Hush." He wasn't going to do anything rash, and he wasn't going to leave them undefended until he was sure. When he felt pressure on his wrist, he jumped. He had been distracted by Addison, and hadn't seen Felix reaching for him. The Hufflepuff asked them again to stop. Stop what exactly?

Felix tilted his hand toward the ground, forcing him to stand down. For a brief moment, rage coursed through him. The boy had no right to touch him when he was being cautious after he ran into the other boy. His jaw muscle twitched, but no other outward signs of anger were detectable. He reached his hand around to pat Felix's hands once, before gently removing himself.

Well, forgive him for being rude, but last time he checked standing around wasn't an offense to anyone around Hogwarts. He tried hard not to roll his eyes as he talked to the less groveling of the two boys, because the other one would probably cry harder. And that would make this whole thing that much more awkward.

"It's great to know we've got people like you watching out for people like me. The lord only knows how the world would be if people were permitted to watch others whenever they pleased. But that's not why you're out here, is it?"

It was his honest curiosity peeking out there. Mostly he was just wondering why he was being held up by such a strange group of people. The two Ravenclaw girls he recognized, and knew at least from passing. He was almost greatful when the second one pointed out he didn't have a wand in his hand himself. Almost. And the other...well, she wasn't too ready to jump th gun anyway. But the loudmouth and the crybaby he didn't know, and didn't want to know.

If he was lucky he never would.

The same 'grow a pair' expression flickered over to Felix for a long moment, as she noticed a few tears escape and roll down his cheeks. Was there really a reason to cry? It was absolutely pathetic was he was doing, and she was entirely surprised he didn't get his a** kicked regularly for doing so. She'd seen plenty of girls break out into tears, and she usually felt sorry for him. But a boy crying over nothing? That was simply worth a punch in the face.

Then another girl showed up, one she recognized as Addison. And also the girl who had interrupted during dinner. Her eyes narrowed a bit at the girl, but she noticed she was merely trying to stop a fight from breaking out, which Anna was slightly grateful for. Although she did believe that the other Ravenclaw girl should learn not to stick her nose into things that weren't her business. Changing her gaze from the other Ravenclaw and back to Felix, she noticed how clingy he was being towards Seamus, and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. Wasn't exactly surprised, to be honest.

The new boy started rattling off again, just another snarky comment to add to the other ones he had had before. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at him, although she didn't have anything to say. After all, it wasn't her fight to be in, and she wasn't about to jump in.

User ImageUser Image Felix didn't like this new guy. His words were too harsh. Why couldn't an apology be enough. Why did this have to keep on going. Felix just wanted to find Snickers, but instead he was causing a stand off and nearly a fight.

Felix looked down at his hands as he felt Seamus pat them softly. Felix blushed deeply. Oops. He hadn't meant to keep hanging on to Seamus. He wanted to inch away some, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it. He sniffled and wiped his sleeve across his eyes again to dry the tears that had fallen.

User Image Felix glanced over to Anna. He felt something shatter inside him with the look she was giving him. Clearly, he hadn't been meant to see it. Felix looked to the small group. He couldn't take it. He was between running and crying or just sitting down and crying. Either way, he was going to cry until he could cry no more.

Felix glanced at the new guy. He opened his mouth and shut. Apologizing had done nothing, so it would do nothing again. He glanced to Addison and Seamus. "I--" He thought of Anna's glare at him. Tears leaked out before he could make his escape. He had decided on that. Escape. He shook his head and ran. Ran farther out into the darkness. "Nox..." He whispered so he could be a lone in the dark to cry.

Wha? Seamus gaped as Felix sprinted into the darkness, putting out his light as his went. Bloody. Hell. He wished for half of Moira or Addison's patience with the boy. They had been good to him on the train. He however, was tempted to knock the boy upside the head. He gave a glance towards the boy that had started it all. "You're off the hook for now then yeah?" He turned and followed Felix's footsteps, calling "Lumos" as he went. He would be bloody furious if the Hufflepuff made him trip.

Off the hook?

OFF THE HOOK?!

That boy was absolutely crazy, completely and utterly insane. No one had done anything, Caleb certainly hadn't, and who was this guy to pardon him? Who said he needed to be pardoned? That one girl had been nice enough to understand and to apologize, but apparently some people were just to bullheaded to admit when they'd done something wrong. He whipped around just as his cheecks turned red from indignation, a move disguised as him watching Pussycat leave in tears with the looney chasing after him.

Speaking of people doing things wrong, he had a feeling he'd upset the bawling boy. Somehow. Oops. Had it been his fault, or was that kid alwasy on edge like that? It was really pathetic, but there was no way Caleb was going to say anything, not with a trigger happy wand wielder guarding him. And besides. He didn't enjoy making little boys cry.

A breeze ruffled his hair as the two ran farther off in the dark. He sighed quietly. "Should I go apologize?"

Of course, he meant Sir Sobsalot, not that other p***k. There was no way he was apologizing for something he didn't do. No way in hell.

Addison took a step back towards Heath as Seamus hushed her. Her cheeks turned a bit red with frustration. Fine. She was just trying to help, since she knew Seamus had a temper and a compulsion to protect those he was fond of, Addison herself and Moira being two examples, with Felix seemingly becoming like a third. Addison glanced over at Heath, wondering what he thought of this whole fiasco. She was about to suggest the two of them simply leave once more when Felix suddenly scampered away, followed closely by Seamus. Addison couldn't help but roll her eyes a bit. Felix was not only very emotional but a drama queen as well.

Allowing herself a small sigh, she rolled her wand between her hands, the lit end still glowing. The boy who had appeared spoke, and Addison stopped moving her wand so that the light from the end lit his face. She recognized him from the Ravenclaw common room. What was it with Ravenclaws getting involved in disputes today? Granted, though, this boy hadn't done anything wrong whereas the one from the train had punched Seamus on the nose...

Addison snapped out of her reverie as the boy spoke, wondering aloud if he should apologize. Not entirely sure if he was speaking to himself or the group of students, Addison hesitated for a moment before answering him. "I wouldn't. Not now, anyway, with Seamus here. He's got a bit of a hot head, as they say," she said softly. She paused for a second before continuing, "Not that you've really anything to apologize for."

Anna fidgeted a bit, waiting for someone to say something at least, before Felix jumped right back into action again. Somehow he had looked at her before she was able to wipe the look she gave him off her face. She took in a deep breath, looking at the ground and biting her lip. Self control, Anna. Making faces like that will only get you in trouble. Her gaze changed from to ground and back to Felix just as he began to ran off. Of course, probably off to cry.

She felt an unfamiliar twinge of guilt in her stomach, and just as Seamus began to 'let the new kid off the hook', she had already turned sharply towards Felix, and was already sprinted after him. God knows what possessed her to do it, but she did anyway. The light her wand was still giving her was wavering quite a bit, probably calling attention to anyone who managed to glance in her direction. Would get caught, no doubt, but she'd be damned if they tried to punish her in anyway.

Following after him based on the light from his wand became nothing but a failed attempt, as the light disappeared shortly after. She continued to run rather blindly, trying to listen for Felix the best she could.

[[Despite popular belief, Anna does, in fact, have a heart. xDD]]

He assumed the girl was referring to the p***k, because the other boy seemed as hot headed as a limp noodle. "I wasn't talking about him, I was talking about the one who started sobbing." Before Caleb had even figured out what the boy was sobbing for, he'd taken off anyway.

Now. Was Caleb really that scary? He didn't think so.

In a moment nearly small enough to be immeasurable by any standard clock, the group around him had dissolved, now a crazy game of Follow the Leader through the grounds in the middle of the night. And Caleb felt himself joining along, trotting quietly behind the apologetic Ravenclaw and her flailing wand. He felt that he'd at least try to cheer up Pussycat, since it seemed it was himself that had upset him so much. And besides, it was all sort of exciting, wasn't it, sailing through the dark? It accomplished more than filing back into the castle and sitting awake all night in bed, even if that accomplishment was getting caught and having points taken away.

Not quite fully understanding why he was following along himself, he set off after the rest of the group. Maybe if they were lucky the p***k would get lost in the dark by the time they all reformed..

Addison blinked. She thought it was rather obvious that she was not referring to Seamus and she in fact meant Felix. "As was I," she said. She gave the boy an appraising look, not quite sure if she should have phrased her words better, or if he should have thought on them more. Regardless, Addison remained silent, watching after Seamus and Anna as they chased after Felix. She thought she too should go, but she didn't want to leave Heath.

Before she realized it, the Ravenclaw boy who had just spoken had taken off after the other students as well, leaving Addison very alone with Heath. Glad for this moment of solitude with him, Addison knew it would be short-lived. Having seen how Heath was toward Seamus, she figured it was only a matter of time before Heath too ran after Felix, spoiling any spontaneous plans the two of them might have had concerning Heath faking sick and Addison taking him to the hospital wing.

Heath pulled his hand away after tugging a bit, feeling it to be a bit too much. Besides, she may not like the contact. A frown painted across his face after a moment, realizing that Addison had withdrawn her curiosity; it made him feel a bit slow. Apparently he’d been having such a bad internal battle over the issue, he’d completely zoned out when she covered the matter, leaving him with nothing to explain. He’d acted ridiculous without needing to. That, all its own was ridiculous. He could feel the blood running up to his cheeks again, as his palm met with his face again. After a soft sigh escaped his lips, and removed his hand and looked up at Addison. And in the wand light, he could clearly see a soft tint to her cheeks, and something else that surprised him, a rather large grin on her face. Both reactions seemed to surprise him all the more; her response seemed to surprise him as well. Even though he knew she was very kind. His gaze turned to Seamus, after Addison had spoken Seamus took the liberty to put in his two cents. Commenting that he could give him the qualifications to be put in the Hospital wing. It wouldn’t be anything new, but he didn’t exactly want to get hurt. Oh, you’re such a doll, Sunshine. he replied, rolling his eyes at Seamus. Cute, how he said friends. However, it made Heath smile a bit. Friends were good, even if they were arrogant prats sometimes. This thought merely rolled through his mind seconds before Seamus continued on, implying that that he needed to ‘move on’ from Addison. It had something to do with lack of ability to share. He watched as Seamus moved to pat her on the shoulder, but couldn’t quite figure out why he’d said all he had, share with who?

Heath’s thoughts were cut short, as a familiar dark head of hair passed by them, and then Seamus left to follow. Felix. The next thing he knew, Addison had stridden very swiftly over to them. Heath had managed to miss most of what had happened, due to his very dream like state, however wands had been drawn. And he certainly didn’t like that, violence was never good. He’d once more, wished he had some sort of muggle instrument, to perhaps distract them all. He followed after Addison, but remained silent. His gaze sweeping over the situation. However, his gaze paused on Felix after a long while; he always seemed to get into these types of situations. Two in one day was enough, at least Heath thought so. Perhaps he hadn’t paid enough attention to his fellow Hufflepuff? From what Heath observed, as he assumed Addison did, two people had their wands drawn at someone who hadn’t even inched towards his own. It seemed like they’d jumped the gun. This only made him furrow his eyebrows while moving his gaze amongst the group again. He wasn’t sure if he should interpret how they acted as a good thing or bad. Things only got worse though, and it ended in Felix eliminating the light that shown from his own wand, and running off into the darkness.

Heath watched as Seamus, and one girl he didn’t recognize, rush after him. Both seemed to be on the angry side, or so he’d observed when watching their reactions. He sighed softly, peered at Addison, and then scratched the back of his head. Part of him wanted to go after Felix as well, yet part of him implied that it was better not to, to leave it to the other two. Not that he liked the idea, he wasn’t sure what they’d do at this rate. He flashed a some what wearily smile towards Addison. Well that was … he paused, not able to think of a suitable word, … interesting to say the least. he added breathlessly. He held his hand out to Addison now, a slight grin on his face. I suppose it’s best if we postpone any Hospital Wing visits, shall we go after them? he asked, a slight disappointment to his tone, though at the time he’d only wanted to get away from answering an outrageous question. It would have been nice to run off somewhere, perhaps then he could get to know Addison better. I’ll admit, I’m a bit worried about them. he added, somewhat trying to convince her and himself, that it was best if they go. Though she seemed to be a very kind-hearted person, it seemed natural that she would care to go, but perhaps didn't for his sake.

Felix heard the sound of footsteps falling against the ground behind him. He glanced behind him to see the glow of three wand tips following after him. Well, kind of. It seemed they had lost sight of him in the dark and were running blindly. Away from him. He sighed softly with relief. He wasn't sure he could handle facing an angry mob. He ran faster. He was thankful he was fast.

Felix tripped over "something" in the darkness. It squeaked and he made a yelping sound as he fell to the ground. He rolled a little ways, but ending up on his side facing away from the wand lights. More tears ran from his eyes. He wasn't in pain, but once the tears came like this he couldn't stop them. He felt miserable.

User Image Something cold touched his cheek. Felix opened his eyes to look at Snickers. He groaned and pulled the little ferret to him, not bothering to sit up yet. He hugged Snickers to him. "Oh... Snickers..." He whimpered the words. He wished the tears would end. Wished he could get to his feet and run again.

Seamus continued through the dark, wishing his wand light was more affective. He had thought he was close, but as he stopped to listen, he couldn't hear much of anything. He thought Anna had followed them, but he couldn't see any light, save his own. Maybe she'd caught up with Felix? Slowly, he turned around, taking in his surroundings. He knew Felix had put out his light, but was hoping he'd change his mind. Seamus couldn't help but shake the feeling he wasn't going to right way. "Anna?" he called out.

Addison watched as the three lit wand tips bobbed around the grounds, the search for Felix well underway. The redhead stood by Heath, a look of uncertainty on her face. Should she follow and help find the Hufflepuff, or should she stay with Heath? She wanted to do the latter, but she was unsure what Heath would prefer. Seeing Heath turn toward her out of the corner of her eye, Addison turned her face to Heath as well. He was smiling, and this in itself brought a smile to the girl's face. He spoke then, and Addison replied, "Aye. To say the least is right."

Noticing movement near their hips, Addison looked down and saw Heath holding his hand out for her. Smiling, she reached out and took his hand in her own. He spoke again, suggesting going after Felix and the others instead of paying an impromptu visit to the hospital wing. He also admitted to being worried. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit concerned for Felix as well," she said, telling the truth but also a bit disappointed she wouldn't get to spend any time with Heath, just the two of them. However, she supposed, holding his hand is better than nothing. Leaving her hand in his, she took a step forward and held her lit wand ahead of her. "Shall we, then?"

It was pointless.

The whole thing had quickly dissolved into a game of tag in the dark, with Felix being the only one who wasn't 'it'. In fact, the entire situation was completely ridiculous, and she wouldn't have even had to be out here had she just said no to that stupid little third year. Slowing down, she let out a long sigh, brushing the hair away from her face. Eventually, she just came to a full out stop, listening intently for anything that may show where Felix was.

Hearing a muffled yelp to the of her, she tilted her head. Someone tripping over something in the dark, no doubt. If it was Felix, they were likely to run away once they saw the light of her wand, and she cast nox rather reluctantly. Before she could start walking towards the sound, someone had called her name. She tried to ignore them, taking a few steps forward before stopping again and calling back to whoever it was that had said her name in the first place. "Over here,"
