Ben smiled and offered Luke a rose that seemed to appear from thin air. "There." He said. "Take it to Maru and apologize." He said, nodding to his friend. "You'll see. Apologizing is easier than hurting anyone--well... unless you're apologizing to Thali. Then it's hard... she's hard to convince that you actually mean it." He grinned.
"Oh. Thali made you uncle to our twins. I thought you'd like to know." Ben added as an after thought.

Luke smiled, taking the rose. "Thanks Ben! You always know what to say. And I can't wait to meet my neices! I'm going to hurry over to the park and apologize to Maru. Thanks!" Luke said, walking away from Ben.

Reiya and Sammi's ears twitched as they heard footsteps. Sammi poked her head out from behind the slide, and decided to make her way towards the man. "Hi, Wuke!" She said, toddling over to him. "Ooo bad bad man. Make Nattie's Mommy cry. Bad bad Wuke." She shook a chubby finger at him.
"If Mommy no was here--I buwn ooo." She told him.

Luke gulped. "I uh. . . . I appreciate the fact that you're not burning me. . ." Luke said trying not to get too close to Sammi . "Do you know where Natalie's mommy went?"

Sammi nodded and took Luke's hand. "We go, bad man." She told him, leading him to under the slide. "Wuke be baby, too!" She decided, a bright smile spreading across her face.
Reiya was quick to nod. "Wuke be baby." She agreed, looking to the man. "Baby sit now. Kay, baby?"

Luke groaned. "Do I have to?" Recieving a nod from both girls he sighed and sat down under the slide. "There. Happy? Now willl you tell me where Maru is?"

Sammi giggled, and pointed to where Thali and Maru were talking. Then the freckled toddler looked to Natalie. "Dey be babies." She told her friend with a nod. "All babies. We good mommies."
It was clear that Thali was oblivious to all this.

Luke stood up and moved away from the girls. He took a deep breath and walked up to Thali and Maru. "Hey Thali, Maru. I need to talk to Maru alone for a minute." He said, hoping Thali wouldn't end up hitting him again. He really was trying to do the right thing now.

Thali nodded. "Sure thing, Luke." She said, before looking to Maru. "I'll look after the girls while you two talk," she said with a smile. "Don't worry about Natalie, she's safe with me." She walked back over to the three girls.
"Baby!" Sammi said, grabbing her mother's sleeve. Reiya did the same with Thali's left. "Baby came back! Hi Baby! Baby sit down?"
Thali sighed, but obediently sat. "Mommy a good baby. Wuke not. He bad man." Reiya told her mother quite like a teenager who'd picked up on some juicy gossip.

Natalie looked around. "My Momwee be babwy too?" Natalie asked hopefully.
"So Luke, you wanted to talk to me?" Maru asked trying to sound calm and trying not to be too hopeful. Luke nodded. "Maru I feel terrible about this whole situation," Luke began, handing her the rose. "I really wish I could turn back time and not have said the things I did. It was really stupid of me to think that you'd ever cheat on me. You're not that kind of girl and I feel horrible for thinking for a second that you'd done that. I really am sorry, and I hope some day you can forgive me." Luke finished, looking up hopefully at Maru. "You believe me now?" Maru asked. Luke nodded. Maru smiled. "Good, then I forgive you. But are you ready to be a father to Natalie?" Luke smiled. "I was hoping you'd ask that." He kneeled down on one knee in front of Maru, taking a box out of his pocket. "Maru I love you so much and I'm more than ready to be a father to Natalie. Will you marry me?"

Thali's ears twitched, she wasn't really paying attention to what Sammi and Reiya were saying--more of what Luke and Maru were. As soon as the man proposed, the elf's fist was in the air. "YEAH!" All this gained were glares from the twins.
"Baby!" Sammi scolded, shaking a finger at her mother. "Ooo be good Baby, or I put ooo in time out!" She threatened, she'd obviously gotten this warning before.
Thali ignored this. Her fingers were crossed. Say yes. Say yes say yes say yes.

Maru stood with a suprised look on her face. "Luke I. . . I. . . I. . . Yes!!!" She exclaimed, crouching down to give him a hug with such force she nearly knocked him down. Luke smiled and slipped the engagement ring onto her finger. "How does it feel to know you're going to be Mrs. Skywalker?" He asked. Maru looked at him and smiled. "Wonderful, like I've been waiting my entire life for this moment." Luke smiled, giving her a kiss. He stood up and extended a hand to Maru. "Come on." He said, smiling, " I want to meet my daughter." He pulled Maru up and they headed over to where the girls and Thali were.

Sammi had peeked her head out at the wrong moment, so as soon as they were under the slide, she looked up at them and made a face. "Icky." She decided, which made her mother have to cover her mouth to hide the giggles attempting to escape.
"Icky." Reiya agreed, with a nod. "Icky icky. No kisses!" She said, scolding the two adults. "Is icky. Joss say 'get a room'." She was making a good point, too. Josh, the prince of romantics, had told his parents to get a room. Obviously, even lovestruck preteens didn't like to see people kissing.

Maru and Luke walked over to where Thali and the girls were. Maru smiled as Natalie came running over to her. "Momwee!" She cried. Maru laughed and picked Natalie up and tickled her. Natalie giggled. "Stop Momwee!" Natalie cried. Maru smiled and stopped. "Natalie I have someone for you to meet." Maru said. She put Natalie down in front of Luke. "This is Luke, Luke this is Natalie." Luke smiled, kneeling down in front of Natalie. "Hey Natalie. It's nice to meet you."
Maru moved over to Thali as Natalie and Luke introduced themselves. "He proposed!" Maru said, trying not to squeal with joy.

Thali stopped giggling to grin at her friend. "I know. I heard the whole thing. You two weren't exactly quiet about it, were you?" She giggled, before forcing herself to stop. "I suppose I can apologize for hitting him now." She paused, and waited for Luke and Natalie to finish with their introductions.
She tapped him on the shoulder. "Luke, I'm sorry--about you know. Hitting you. You don't have a bruise, do you?" She scanned his face carefully. "Oh, these are Samantha and Reiya--your nieces." She gestured to each toddler in turn.
"Hi icky bad man." Sammi said, looking up at him with bright eyes. "Icky icky~" It looked like Luke had another nickname.
"Hi Icky." Reiya echoed her sister easily.
