*The "nurse" stands there dumbfounded for a moment, unable to believe she's been outed by her footwear of all things. She tilts her head and rubs the underside of her jaw, as though trying to think of a response. Her face then changes from one of frightened confusion to an enraged snarl, and she spits a reddish black liquid at Jen. The VASCU agent coughs and sputters, then staggers back and collapses to the floor.*

Bree reacts quickly. The ironwood staff would be useless in such close quarters as these, but the bone knife is just the right accessory for such an occasion.
Before Nurse Creepy can turn her head back to spit again, a large gash opens across her throat.

*The young woman begins to cough and sputter, then slowly falls to the floor. Her hands are pressed against her throat, in an attempt to stop the bleeding. It's at that point that Gibson and DiNardo enter the room.*
What the hell happened... JEN! *DiNardo sees Jen on the floor and goes to check on her.* Are you okay? Your face is all bloody...
*Jen smiles sleepily at DiNardo and nuzzles his shoulder.* Mike...
Jeeze, she's whacked out on something...
*Gibson meanwhile heads for the nurse, and attempts to stabilize her.* Bree, if you have any of those bandage potions with you, give her one now. We need her alive. Spencer's dead.

"Sonuvabitch...." Bree digs around in her pouch and hands Gibson two potions.
"Give her these, doesn't matter in which order."
She goes over to have a look at Jenny.
"Umm...okay. DiNardo, I think I'm about to make your day." She hands him another vial. "This needs to be chewed up and placed in her mouth. I'll leave you to devise an appropriate method of delivery."
Hint hint oh so very subtle hint.

Too bad she doesn't have a snake bite. twisted *DiNardo takes some of the potion into his mouth and pulls Jen into a kiss. In her doped up state, she quickly reciprocates and swallows the potion. Meanwhile, Gibson pours each of the potions Bree gave him down the wounded nurse's throat.*

*Alice greets Bree with a swing of the staff, which she pulls just in time to avoid hitting the Landwalker in her freshly healed ribs.* Jeeze! Bree, do they knock where you come from?

"Spencer's dead and one of Y's creeps just tried to kill Barthis. Jenny was hit by some kind of breath weapon, but...she'll be okay."
Here, she can't help grinning wickedly.
"In any case, I really really think we ought to get you out of here, McGinn. I mean, if you've been checked out and they found something, I can probably fix it at home."

She radios back to Gibson.
"McGinn and Alice are okay, but I think we should get them both out of here ASAP. How are things over there?"

~Jenny's gone from being stoned to being in shock. I think she's trying to decide whether to slap DiNardo or jump him right here. *There's an indignant "GIBSON!" in the background, and just a hint of amusement in Gibson's voice when he resumes talking.* Our assassin is out for the count and no longer bleeding, although that gash in her throat still looks pretty ugly. According to her Hospital ID, she's Nurse Katoryn. The other nurses confirmed she is indeed an employee of Boston General, however she's usually stationed on another floor. Y must've had her infiltrate this place over a year ago. Apparently patients on her floor have a habit of dying at a higher rate than normal, many of whom were stable at the time.~

"Well at least Jenny's all right now. And DiNardo, you owe me a drink." She gives Alice and McGinn a thumbs-up.

~We'll drop McGinn and Alice off at the barracks, then take Nurse Katoryn to the Staties and grill her there. DiNardo will stay here and see what else he can find out about Katoryn. *Slightly muffled, as he calls over his shoulder.* And if he promises to keep it in his pants, I'll let Jenny stay and help!~
