Quentin in Arajudia's Fate (pg. 12 )
What was this?! The sound of metal clashing, yells, screams...this was an attack! Oh, but Quentin was without his cane! Without it, he really was blind! There was no way for him to move about!
Suddenly, he heard the familiar clatter of wood against the ground. "You...buffoon! That cane is worth a fortune, don't just drop it!" he yelled out, getting no answer. "Argh..."
He grunted as he got down on all four, trying to find his cane. "My cane...my cane...can someone fetch me my cane!"

Alternate: "My cane... my cane, I can't see without my cane"

Quentin in Arajudia's Fate (pg. 12 )
Quentin, not yet aware of the soldier close by, quickly unsheathed his weapon, cutting the guard diagonally. Surprised at cutting flesh and not air, it did not phase him enough to slow him down. With his cane, now revealed to be a sword sheath, firmly in his left hand while his high quality blade in the right, Quentin took up his fighting stance. As the first soldier fell to the ground, the next arrived, only to be met by a knee to the stomach. As the man leaned over, Quentin used the man's back to roll over, gaining momentum to slash through the next man's spear. As the soldier from earlier recovered, Quentin threw his sheath into the air, before grabbing his sword with both hands to cut with more power. Using a horizontal slash, the spearman-now-turned-broken-spearman was disemboweled, toppling over. Three more slashes, and three more bodies fell. As the soldier from earlier came up from behind, Quentin pointed upwards with his index finger. The guard looked up, only to have a sword sheath make contact to his face. When he stumbled backwards, Quentin caught the sheath, before slashing vertically at the soldier's head, splitting his helmet open and cutting his face in two.
Quentin jerked his sword outwards, removing the blood from his sword before sheathing his sword again.
He might be naïve and easy to fool, but that's no reason to do it. There could be...
Consequences.
He smirked at the carnage he had wrought. Six bodies in total.
...which is to say, three soldiers, a rock, a signpost, and a torch, which had landed on a tent, promptly setting on fire. So really, seven bodies.
"...this is turning into a good day..." Quentin grinned to himself, as he turned to face his next foe.
