Yeah. I've been pondering making a statue of the Great Spirit as well as God and Goddess statues. I just need to get some money and learn if I can use my oven for different clay items. It would be nice to one day sell my own wares at the local Pagan Pride Day.

I bet. I still need a ton of stuff for my altar. You'd think living in Portland, a city famous for it overall strangeness, it would make it easy to find stuff like that but it doesn't.

don't get any big ideas, they're not going to happen...You know, yeah, one would most definitely think so. I sure as heck would've have expected to find my cauldron, bell AND chalice in the same place in the same quaint little country town. Then again, that could've been exactly why. Quaint, country, folksy. Ritual tools have went from being something practical to being completely innocent folk art. Which is always gonna be more popular in smalltown-USA.
So I guess if there are any charity shops in the area that just scream "Country Living Magazine", go check it out razz ...you'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking.

don't get any big ideas, they're not going to happen...Oh, most definitely. But I bless things even if they're brand-spanking new. People always pickin' stuff up, flipping it around in their hands, pondering, flipping more, pondering, then putting it back on the shelf. May not be "used", but it can sure come with a lot of "fingerprints".
Ok, so I'm like a germ freak, except with energy razz ...you'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking.

I'm lucky. Every one that comes over knows my altars are sacred and that no one is allowed to touch with out asking and understanding what it's for. I take very good care of my altar and my supplies.

don't get any big ideas, they're not going to happen...I've never had a problem with people fiddling with my altar things without asking. Kind of bugs me, really, cos if they were cool enough on my island to even be in my house, they're cool enough to make themselves at home. I don't let people in who will jack up the good energy in my household. But I reckon I should feel blessed that I know courteous people wink ...you'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking.

it has definitely been awhile since I have been on gaia/so much as signed in to the guild....(please forgive me...)
but anyway...I do have an altar now, but...the pet factor...when I was making my altar I decide that I would use painted eggs to represent the god and goddess (got the idea from the guild newspaper, go figure!). I even made special pedestals out of clay in art class to hold them (not the best quality as the eggs wobbled a little). Anyway I keep my altar on top of my desk's hutch (kinda high up). It was perfectly fine for a week or two, until I woke up one morning and found the goddess's egg half-way across the room with some shards on the desk and the floor...I have a back-up egg but I still havent taken the time to get some paint and remake it...
...but other parts of my altar include my incense stick holder/burner thingy on top of aluminum foil (dont want to catch the expensive desk, that I paid for myself, on fire!). And then there is a small quartz crystal and a feather that I recently found while taking a walk through my neighborhood, it was quite a spiritual walk actually, but that is another story, good few animals and alot of walking that day, crap starting to ramble....sorry...

Xx-Reno-Final7-xX hello everyone i have a question i was wondering if anyone can give me any advise on how to set up an alter in a space limited home . its for my apartment once i get it its going to a one bedroom smile how limited of a space? well you can easily find a small table and set up an altar, or even on a section of your dresser like i have done it doesnt have to be large at all, its just the fact that it means something to you and you have the god/ess in mind ect. infact im prettysure alot of people dont have an altar cause they are in college or there parents wont let them or they dont have room ect. i have one cause it helps me to light a candle or insense and relax or ask the spirt for help when i need it, but even if i didnt have one id surely be fine [= and remember one thing: its your altar, your sacred place of worship, your little space, you can do anything you want, set it up which ever way you please and be creative just do what ever feels right in your heart sweatdrop wow didnt relize i typed alot xD

don't get any big ideas, they're not going to happen...The easiest way to set up a small altar that won't get all jacked up if you bump into it is to use stones and crystals for your elements, and votives for your God and Goddess. Plop down one for each element... say, put a water-affiliated stone where you'd put a chalice, and so on. Or make it REALLY tiny and fast, and just use a nice hunk of andalusite to cover all four elements in one blow.
But sometimes "easy" doesn't really work with the practitioner. I mean, it all depends on what makes you feel at home in your workspace. ...you'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking.
