Be forceful like Mika said and put all your energy into making that statement true to you. The more truth and energy you can put behind saying it the better it will work.
Calling the Lord and Lady or even other minor but positive spirits in actually help as sort of a back up too. I used to call my grandmother's spirit in when things got bad before I realized that I have the power to banish the negative entities myself.

Hey guys, I'm posting here because I'm not great with spirits (barely any experience) and we've got this nasty-feeling thing in the bathroom.
So far it hasn't done anything, but you can always feel it's presence especially when alone in the bathroom. It's freaked my sister out before and no one can stand it being dark in the room. I was thinking of doing a banishing but I want to know how I should and what I'm dealing with here.
Help and feedback (questions or whatever) is welcomed!

I think its a tough call. Depends on how strong this sort of being is and what exactly it is. I gave some advice on another page which might help. or, you could try a banishing spell in the bathroom. What you need to remember is that entities which are trying to intimidate and frighten you get off on those negative emotions. The more of those you exhibit the worse you make the situation. It`s like giving a kid candy-it gives them energy.
Try asking it to leave - politly.
If that doesn`t work, be more forceful.
And then try a banishing spell as a last resort. I have a couple spells I`ve used which are based on the archangels that I've found to be extremely effective. You could likely modify them to your own uses if you wanted. I'll post them when I'm on my laptop, for your use.

Eight words the Wiccan Rede fufill,Now first I would like you to better describe that feeling, cause something people who are new to spirit confuse nasty feeling as being a uneasy or unsettling feeling. Others think that the nasty feeling is a fearful feeling. Banishing spell work good for evil entities and demons, but it wont banish something that isnt causing any harm. It could be a lost spirit that doesnt know its dead yet and is just wandering. My suggestion would be to try the banishing spell first. If you still feel the presences find a friend that is good at doing investigations or do this yourself. I would do it for you, cause that is my side job, but i have no clue where you live. All you would have to do is find a basic tape recorder either digital or analogue (tape cassette one), and place it in the bathroom, dont worry about if people come in and talk its alright. Leave it running all night. One night in the middle of the night just take random pictures of the bathroom. Face away from the mirror so as not to kill the pictures with over flash. If you would like, you can send them to me, I will analyze them and send you any evp's that I pull from the audio, and circle any apparitions from the picture. You dont have to worry about me tampering with the evidence, I take a scientific view on this, the way I see it is if there are no evps the better. Hey I'm back,
Mika and Fates:
I've already asked it to leave several times before so I did a banishing spell on Saturday. My sister and I went in and cast a circle (sweeping out all negative energy first of course) then we focused on the drain where the spirit seemed to be coming through, and we visualized it being a portal so we shrank it and then locked it up.
Since then, we haven't had a problem.

There isn't any need to record it or photograph anything but I really appreciate your offer to decipher them. I'm keep that in mind if I come across anything else.
Also I meant nasty as uneasy, unsettling, fearful and that instinct where your gut screams the word wrong. So it's a bit broad to me.

okay i posted in here earlier about an evil spirit. now its after one of my friends because she got involved. she was attacked lats night and she thinks its a dream but i kno it wasn't i dont kno what to do coz now shes getting violent

Eight words the Wiccan Rede fufill,You could try to do a banishing spell since it is a negitive spirit, and maybe even cleansing the home will help to disperse the spirit or help cleanse the spirit. Most would try to have a priest come in and cleanse the area. Most mediums wont even try to enter a house with a violent spirit or demon. There are some people who can hunt or exorcise demons, may you should try to get one. That may help you out. Something must be done soon for most violent spirits (poltergeists) or demons dont stop until what they are trying to acomplish is done. If you need help decoding and analyzing evps and such let me know, I am always happy to help. An' Ye Harm none, Do what ye will!

Ok, you guys remember that thing that I posted earlier about seeing a thing move through the corner of my eye? Well, today, I was playing music kind've loud, and then I saw again, in the same little annoying spot in my peripheral vision, I turned my head and it just disappeared, then when one of the songs ended I heard the last word of the song whispered into my ear, do you guys have any idea what this thing is wanting/doing in my house?

You will have to find out yourself. It could be a haunting of you or the land, more likely you. It is often not to wise to try and figure an entity out unless you know they are not potentially harmful. What have you observed this entity do? Would you like it out? If your goal is to simply not have it anymore, then dont try to communicate or understand it. It can often agitate the entity and the situation can go from bad to worse, in minutes. much like you have been reading ask it to leave politely. If it persists then banish it. You said it whispered the last word of a song to you. Are you sure it was the entity, and not the music itself? your mind can do some pretty powerful things itself.

Well, I saw the thing first without any music, and the voice was at a different pitch, it was pretty weird, because I repeated the ending of it, and it was different, and that's the most recent time I've seen it, I might've seen it three times total, and it hasn't really done anything except move around, the one that I think was the least likely to be an entity was when it was on the ceiling, I thought it was shadows, but now that I think of it, I don't even know why I was looking up, so I'm pretty confused about it, so how could I find out myself?

This is one of those cases where I'd be reluctant to do much probing or contact with a spirit. If you don't feel this spirit is anything positive, don't bother inquiring-just get rid of it.
Sometimes if you try to contact them they end up staying with you regardless and that in itself can be unpleasant.

Mika Lockheart Thats interesting Rainy. I think maybe you saw something like the Old Hag which appears when you're kind of awake but still somewhat in dream land. Old Hag Maybe something similar except you saw a child. Woah thats freaky yet interesting. Thank you for showing me that. o -o

I wonder if it was the "old hag syndrome" I experienced. I had a lot of what it was talking about, but I noticed it said nothing about child encounters or having them speak to you. xD;;

I'm sure the same principal can apply in terms of the figure being a child or so forth. Just whatever the brain comes up with in that state of mind.
The talking-that I can't explain except to offer the possibility that that part may have just been dreamed. But, then, its just a suggestion in general and I don't think I totally buy it myself. >.<
