Pie quietly listened to conversation and chimed in, "I've tasted the chocolate ones. Delicious as always." She said with a wink. Then pointed to MANtis, "And that would be MANtis."

Hayley turned slightly to face Pie.
"MANtis, eh?" Turning to face MANtis, again, she added, "Well nice to meet you, sir MANtis." She bowed slightly and tipped her hat.
"I'm still hungry after hearing about those sausages, though. Anyone care to point me in the right direction?"
Looking at the pastries she knew were filled with blood was actually making her quite hungry. She hadn't eaten much that day and they did look delicious. She couldn't wait to sample the human varieties.

"No offense taken. Half the stuff I make isn't really edible for human consumption. I think I brought some of the shock tarts for the robotic beings here. Avoid touching those, by the way," Frogger side, giving a slow nod of the head."Oh and thanks, there are also regular cupcakes and and other such sweet treats here."
MANtis turned around when he heard Haley." Me? Oh...I'm MANtis," he said is a surprising normal voice. He really pushed the emphasis of 'Man' in the word.
"You really don'y need to say it like that all the time," Frogger said, rolling her eyes. She fixed the bow tie around his neck.

"Heh, thanks for the warning." Scanning the table, she made a pass for one of the bacon-wrapped sausages. She didn't usually like eating fried things, but this was a special event.
As she was transferring her hors d'oeuvres to a plate, she asked the group, "So is it just me, or are our vampire friends running a little late? I'd love to meet some of them, but I haven't yet had the chance."
She took a bite. eek ((<-- This is her reaction.))

Pie grinned, "Trying out the new bowtie on MANtis tonight?" Pie asked Frogger. Then turned to Hayley,
"Yeah, I was wondering when they'd show up. I was hopping for some dark mysterious men to dance with," she pouted.
Pie noticed her expression, fearing the worse or tasting the wrong pastry Pie exclaimed, "Hayley, are you okay?"

Recovering with a smile, she told Pie, "Peachy, aside from the startling realization that food can taste this good. If giving you a job on the force is going to take you away from making these, then you're fired before you're even hired," she joked.

Frogger just laughed at her reaction. She was always used to people making that reaction, whether it be because they ate something they were told not to, or because they liked it. She turned to Pieta and shrugged."Yeah, it was the closest thing he would wear that was formal," she said rolling her eyes.
"I was wondering the same thing as well. Don't want all this blood to go to waste.." she said, glancing over at MANtis.

Having had enough of the music, he finally stood up and wandered over to where Pie and the others were. He raised a hand in greeting. "Hey, friends. Quiet evening, isn't it?"
He had been hoping to at least be able to meld into a crowd, but there wasn't much of one.

Swallowing the remains of her food, Hayley saw the robot from earlier walk over to the group. She was happy to have the chance to meet some more of her fellow Aekeans.
"Hi. We haven't met, I don't think. I'm Hayley, the new Guard Captain around here."

Pie released her breath, she hadn't realized she held it in. She apologized, "Sorry, I'm still not used to people reacting like that. And I was so hopeful about being in the guard," she pouted playfully.
Pie turned to Frogger and said innocently, "Maybe if you got him a green tuxedo. I beat he'd wear it in a heartbeat."
She noticed Keel and greeted him, "Hey! I was wondering when you'd come down. And yeah, where is everyone." She looked over her shoulders to exaggerate her point.

Keel nodded to Pie and Frogger before turning to Hayley. "The New Capatin, huh? Well, That's good to hear, good to hear." He tapped the end of his scythe on the floor, twirled it once, then set it on his back before extending a hand.
"Well met, Captain. I am Keel, owner of the multimedia store, the Multiverse."

"I've heard of it," She responded as she shook his hand.
"I've also heard of you, actually. I heard you might be interested in a position on the force. I'll be hiring in the next few weeks and we could use any help we can get. Interested?" She arched her brow hopefully.

Sliding the scythe into place on his back (Via a strap), helooked the Captain up and down. "I am interested, However, with the card players at my shop everyweekend, I'm ont sure. A couple of them are... Pretty shady players, ya know?" He tepped the blade edge of his scythe.
"It really irritates me when a good player is ripped off in a trade. Especially when I provided the cards."
