When exactly the despondent Ratchet drifted off to sleep, she wasn't sure, but she certainly didn't feel like waking up when the speakers called for breakfast. A bit more time alone would do her a world of good, but her solitude was spoiled by a bunch of angry campers coming back. Seems that Chris had forgotten to have food on the table when he woke them up. Thinking about it, Chris, for all his partyboy ways, wasn't all that harmless. In fact, he was kind of a jerk.
How big of a jerk was he?
Not moving, she called over to the green and black furred Audio who seemed to hate the host. "Jay," she said, her voice flat. "What's the most evil thing you think Chris is capable of?" She was interrupting a conversation, sure, but this was important. Besides taking the thing that kept her sane, if the staff had done it, they'd taken a lot of money's worth of equipment. She'd thought about it a bit during the night, and if the stuff was stolen and gone for good, she could probably get it replaced under her family's homeowners' insurance. But first, she had to prove it was stolen... and she wanted that ratchet back.

Jay's attention shifted to Ratchet, that mechanic girl. She gave her a smile, walking over after giving a respectful nod to "Sparkie". Man, did Ratchet look miffed. There were faint bags under her eyes, as if she'd fallen asleep overly stressed.
Chris.
He really wanted them to be miserable, huh? What a sadistic host. "Well, he woke us up, said he's not responsible for feeding us, confiscated all our "good stuff" and yet always has that mischievous tone in his voice. Whatever he's done is bad enough, but this is only the beginning." She paused to contemplate, then casually leaned against one of the posts supporting the top to Ratchet's bunk. "What has he done to you?" There was sincere sympathy in her voice. That host would have to pay at the end of the season, whenever it was.

"So he does take stuff. In my case, he took my tools. All of them but three, which I'm sure he would have taken had he seen them. I wasn't told they'd be confiscated; I was under the impression that I should bring them. But the worst bit..." Ratchet sniffed and pulled herself to her feet. "See this?" She gestured to the mess of toys around her bed. "He replaced everything in my backpack with toys, which is why I think it was him- none of the campers would have this many toy tools on 'em, would they? And nobody's that mean that I've seen so far I had tools in there that have been my family for three generations, and I had one rasp I had to order from Europe. I mean, sure, the stuff's covered by my parents' insurance... But those were my tools, man. It's like... you know how when you've had a pair of pants so long, it just feels right to wear 'em? That's how these were. I've spent years breaking 'em in... Jerk probably just tossed them in a box or a closet somewhere. Lord only knows if any of them are even usable any more. And I don't know what to do!" Her ears quivered with anger. "I know he'll just laugh at me if I ask him about it, and I don't know if I'll have time to search for them with these challenges we have to do!"

It'd seem, during the night, more campers had come into the cabin and gotten themselves arranged in beds. Annabel, for one, hadn't noticed at all. Groaning as she shifted to sit up, she blearily looked over the edge of the bed to view the new arrivals, blinking a few times to get her bearings straight.
At the talk of medicines and glowsticks and names, Annabel had to wonder just what kind of Audios Chris had gone out and hunted for- maybe the most entertaining, and NOT the best suited? Well, that would explain why she'd been brought here. Moving now to sit up fully, she cast a wary glance over the girl with a too-long name.
"Not meaning to burst your bubble, Jennifer," she said, voice slightly distorted by sleep, "..But they posted your full name on our cabin lists." Rubbing at her eyes in an effort to wake herself further, she couldn't help but smirk lightly.
"But, no worries; I'm not going to go spreadin' that around. Sparks or Sparkie work better for you?"
And, oh. There was another camper here- a boy? One of the Brit boys, from what she could tell. Giving a short wave, Annabel remained on her bunk- she was definitely going to spend some quality time with the journal today.
"Hey there."
And at the question of Chris, Annabel bristled and snarled.
"The b*****d kidnapped us all and threw us on a desert island for some messed up TV show. I wouldn't put anything past the guy, to be frank with you guys." Flexing her claws on the bedpost slightly, she worked to quickly settle her temper again.
"Which, in my view, is why Beaver team needs to win this thing."(Sorry for the huge posts, guys. ;A; You all just have fun campers/personalities, and I don't wanna miss RPing with you all.)

Serena had remained a the mess hall for fifteen minutes at most. However, when she came back in, she held a basket with a delicious smell drifting out from it. She set it down near Jay and smiled in a small way, "Breakfast is ready." She moved away letting all her cabin mates go to the basket, as she herself sat down on her bed, and she looked at the pads of her paws. They hurt pretty bad but she was not one to display her pain very much. While they were red, she looked up to see if everyone enjoyed what she had brought them. Cheese omelettes, sausages, fruits, and toast were all in the basket waiting for them. She could bake but she learned how to do breakfast as well. She just hoped everyone liked it. Especially, with the look of her paws, she wouldn't be doing that again for the rest of the day.

Jay nodded along as Ratchet talked, sitting down next to her in the midst of the conversation, resting her paw on the poor girl's shoulder. "Don't worry, Ratchet!" She tried to sound encouraging, they needed to be strong!
"I'm sure that, even if they did take them, you'll get them back at the end of the show or something! Or- or maybe we can win them or bribe them out of him somehow! We'll find a way!" She certainly hoped this was so. After all, the guy had to have some morals, right? RIGHT?! Jeez.
Jay's ears perked up as she saw Annabel stir, "ah, good morning, Annabel!" She smiled at the blue-and-black haired chick. "Sorry if we woke you - kinda surprised Chris' little.... Announcement didn't..." Anna was up and angry with Chris. She seemed to have a lot on that guy. But then again, didn't they all?
Man, when Serena came in with that basket...
Jay jumped up, first running to embrace Serena, then back to the basket, scarfing a good bit of the omelette and sausage. She could've cried. This food was delicious.

Great. Another day of terrible damn food by the crazy-a** chef. Sighing to herself, Annabel gathered her journal and pencils, tucking them on her person for later. Glancing to Serena, Annabel gave her a curt nod before making her way down the stepladder of their bunk.
"I didn't even hear you get up, man. Really that eager to eat another terrible meal by our oh-so-hospitable chef?" She snickered slightly, plunking lightly on the floor when she got off the ladder. Well, food was better than no food... and it was a free day, after all. Turning to face Serena, it was then that she finally caught sight of the decent meal, blinking.
"...Oh my god. Have I told you I love you yet? Because I really, really love you." She practically was laughing, a grin of genuine happiness taking her features. "Seriously, guys? Best damn cabin in this camp. We've got the chef, the mechanic, and like... christ, I'm sure everyone here has some kickass ability of some sort. God damn, I love this group."
At Jay's apology for waking her, Annabel shook her head, still too elated to be angry with anyone.
"Nah, I need to get my lazy a** up, anyway. And seriously, for a decent meal? I'm really, REALLY glad you did."
Turning back to face Serena as Jay ran to her, Annabel's grin softened to a smile.
"How'd you get that crazy-a** chef to let you into his kitchen, anyway?"

"Maybe... or... hm. I've got friends in other cabins... I wonder if I could convince them to check the bottoms of the tools they let us use during challenges. I mean, if we use tools. Mine all say "EN" on the bottom of 'em." Ratchet was perking up at the idea of maybe getting them back. As the chef was mentioned, though, her devious smile came back. "Or maaaaybe... Serena, when you were in there, was anything... broken? This all looks delicious, by the way." She helped herself to the rest of an omelette and a few pieces of toast, smacking her lips after swallowing a bite. "It is delicious! I don't know how you got that psycho they call a cook to let you back in there to cook, but you did a damn good job, lady!" This morning was looking better than last night did. After all, the Egyptians built the pyramids with no nails and no fancy files, just chisels, hammers, and willpower. Same with the Aztecs and their ceremonial temple-pyramid-thingums, and the Europeans of old with their castles. If they could put up structures that could last millennia, who was she to be stopped by a sadistic host taking her stuff? After all... she still had a hammer, a screwdriver, and a monkey wrench.

Noel caught the scent of the food and looked down. OH MY GOD, his lips moved slowly. In a flash he was down his bunk and hugging Serena and Jay and just grinning. Foooooood, he hadn't been able to eat those pancakes but here was something that they could eat. EATABLE FOOD, who would think that something so basic would be such a luxary.
"Mates, I think we do have the best cabin in the whole camp." The brit just couldn't keep the grin off his face. Girls, good food.....
"Ermm..." He looked about at all the new faces before clearing his throat and trying to look a little more chill. "Thank you.."

((XD Now to see which audio kills her first)) Serena smiled, hugging back Jay and watching her run off to the basket. She only smiled brighter to hear Annabel and Ratchet's outburst. She just gave a nod to the Brit who seemed happy. That was worth it then. Hearing their questions, she smiled. "Oh Chef didn't let me in there. I snuck in and did all this. Actually it was that guy Chris' idea. I just made sure to not get caught. I just have return that basket when you guys are finished." Serena didn't know how her fellow team mates would feel about it, knowing the truth. "And don't worry if I ever do get caught, it is all on me." She was a girl who knew how to take a punishment. "I just wanted to treat you guys to a nice breakfast since that guy Chris ate my brownies that I made for you."

Noel frowned hearing what the girl had to go through to get the team some decent grub.
"If you get caught we can't just let you take the punishment. What are team mates for if we don't protect their team?" His eyes showed a huge amount of naivity. He might be a self absorbed self loving brit mod who thought he was gods gift to women but he also was a sweet heart.

"You snuck in there?!" Ratchet's eyes went wide. She didn't expect a girl like Serena to be sneaking into the kitchen. "And Chris told you to do it..." Her eyes narrowed. She was quite sure Chris wouldn't have checked with the cook before sending the poor girl into the kitchen; she could have gotten hurt! An idea was forming in Ratchet's mind, and she looked at the basket, then back up at Serena. "Tell you what. I'll return the basket with you. I'll dart in the kitchen, and you wait outside the whole building. You've already risked yourself enough, and they can't yell at you for being outside the mess hall. Just prop the door open and if you see the cook coming, make a bird call. I'll run out into the mess hall and pretend I'm looking for something I lost yesterday. Foolproof plan." She smiled happily. She had plans for the kitchen, yes, plans.

Jay stared wide eyed at Serena through mouthfuls of food. She snuck in there?! Chris' idea?! Oh no no no, this all seemed very wrong. Of course, she was stuffing her face, but hey, when would the opportunity come up again? If her suspicions about Chris being in cahoots with Chef were right the answer could very well be never.
After finishing, she fished a pretty fruit from the basket, chewing it thoroughly.
"Guys, this is great... And you were great, Serena, but Chris tellin' you to do something... Sounds pretty... Malicious..." She shrugged, "we'll stick with you to the end, girl, this is the best team there is, no joke, but we need a plan in case this was a trap." Oh, no, Chris wouldn't let them have the luxury of delicious food for nada.

Noel took a bite of toast and washed it down with a bite omelette. It was so good and there was no questionable substance mixed in. So so good. After her finished he whipped his hands on his jeans and nodded at Ratchet. She was brave and the plan sounded like one that couldn't go wrong.
Then Jay started to talk and what she said made even more sense. Noel was going to have to pay better attention.
"Yeah..." Noel didn't know what kind of plan they needed but Jay sounded like she knew what she was talking about. They needed something good.
