"Pack full of werebeasts? Huh." His grin turned a little nervous. "I guess I'll need to get myself a... machine pistol, then." Perhaps he would just focus his efforts a little. Watch the Coven mow down his family on their own watch while he took down vampires. He had known it was going to happen, someday. He would be asked to kill them. As a were, he was a survivalist, of course: if one of them attacked him, he would defend himself. There was one species he of course could not kill. Unless... Could pack loyalty get him anywhere? No; they were of a different pack. They would kill him, unless he killed them, first; that was what he had been taught, and what he had seen in his limited experience. In a war, punches are not pulled for perceived familial bonds. His pack was as highly variable as the wind, now. He looked again at those who would defend him and those he would defend. "What about hand-to-hand weapons? I have plain leather gloves, but is there anything that would..." He hesitated on his next words, but tried to pass it off as just a moment of thought- "that would keep me from bruising my hand on a werebeast jaw?"

"Cobalt knives, a few phase knives, swords of various types if you know how to use them, and a couple of claw gauntlets," CL_Triton replied.

"I've got some silver swords if you want to borrow them," came a timid voice from Ty's right (CL's left.) Standing there was a pale, youngish-looking man, a Clockwork Knight if his various metal protrusions were any indication. His stance said that he was afraid to be talking to them, but had apparently decided to suck it up long enough to maybe make himself known to someone. And now he appeared to be regretting it. "I mean," he forced out, "only if you want to...they're my personal swords. You can use them though, I have other weapons. I've got a bunch of cool augs. Not that I think they're cool; other people say they're cool. At least they're useful. And Triton sir, is there any way I can help out in the armory or with maintanence or something? I'm pretty handy with mechanics. My parents taught me, and they worked with the Chief Engineer." As he spoke, he began to speak faster and faster, and by the time he finished, he was completely out of breath and bllinking rapidly. As he caught his breath, he apparently realized how much of an a** he was being (or so he thought), so he turned brilliant red and backed a few steps away. "Uhm..."

CL_Triton nodded. "The offer is appreciated, but unnecessary. It's all automated, so a true machine is needed for it."
Rose spoke up next. "I once stole a shadowcruiser from a Coalition repair bay - I got it running, rewired all the systems so I could run it myself, and flew it out of their base. And yet, for the life of me, I cannot figure out this ship. Any help would be... useful. What's your name?"

Unsure of whether or not CL was insulting him, and not wanting to risk possible alienation, Isaac chose to forego a response, simply acknowledging it with a (somewhat subservient) nod. Turning to Rose, Isaac's eyes first caught on the twisted scars of the Witch's face. Burning bright like a sparkplug again, he turned them downwards hastily. "I-I-I-Isaac, ma'am. Isaac Screwstrip. My parents are on the Chief Engineer's staff. I'm here to learn how to be a soldier for my Faction. Ma'am." He was still stammering, but at least by the end he had made eye contact with Rose, albeit only briefly. His eyes were a striking amber color. Isaac was fidgetting with his hands as he waited for a response.

"Calm down, we don't bite," Camille 'advised,' smiling.
"Unless you want us to," Rose added with a crooked grin. CL_Triton placed his head in his hand.
"The way I see it," Camille continued, "You're a cut above all the Clockies who haven't joined the military, and clearly's something special about you if you're on this ship."

"Can, uhm...can robots bite?" Isaac said, throwing a nervous glance at CL as he tried to make a joke. In response to Camille, he said, "Oh no! There's really nothing special about me. I'm just here because my parents got me stationed here since I was supposed to be protected by the best. I'm really just a useless heap in a fight. I can build though. And fix stuff." He shrugged nervously as rubbed his neck.

Ty sniffed once, taking in the speaker's scent and memorizing it. It was not the most pleasant he had ever known; metallic, if anything. It reminded him of blood, in a synesthetic kind of way. "Thanks, bud, but I'm looking more for... claws." He relished the word as it left his lips, although all that showed was his normal, soft smile. Not for the associated violence, but more for the sense of familiarity it brought. He turned to Camille. "When should we gear up?"

"Best to be ready within half an hour if you can be," Captain Camille Erikson answered. "Dismissed, by the way."
The recruits began to file out. As CL_Triton passed Isaac, he paused. In a perfectly monotone voice: "The CL can't bite, but the GN has the equipment to do so." It continued walking, leaving the much smaller cyborg behind.

"Wait! Triton!" Cassandra called after him, her mind brought to the present by its exit. "Which way is fastest to the armory from here? I still need to get my hands on a rifle and do some practice shooting." Obviously slightly stressed, she unconsciously ran a hand through her hair. It would be important for her to practice with the rifle. She'd done basic, of course, and there was lots of shooting there, but she'd never even touched a KS-6. She had thirty minutes to become familiar enough with the firearm to be ready to fight the enemies. How would she do? She hadn't done much fighting - only really that assist she had done for the for the Coven that had led to her recrution. How long ago that had been; it seemed like forever. And now what was she doing? She was on an Angelship, about to participate in a military raid. Absolutely crazy. Just completely insane.
Which reminded her, she needed to get back to practicing with the rifle. She waited for Triton to lead the way.

"This way to the armory!" CL_Triton called out. Many of those who'd been in the area began to follow as well. The armory consisted of racks upon racks of weaponry of every imaginable kind as well as several bins of ammo and grenades - all behind a metal cage, behind which GN_Triton patrolled.
How GN_Triton had boarded was not altogether clear, as it was a six-foot-tall and eight-foot-wide crab covered in weapon pods. How it had gotten to the other side of the armory was even more opaque, but there it was. There was a small receptacle to the left of the room and the whole right and forward walls were two separate firing ranges.

Ty went with the group to the armory and swiftly searched the walls for what he wanted. Clawed gloves and boots were found in the "melee" section, but everything appeared to be heavily protected. A quick scan also revealed the machine pistol he kind of thought would be nice. Also protected. He eyed GN curiously. "So... are we allowed in?"

"Tell me what you need at the receptacle," both Tritons spoke in unison.

"Mm? Ah." He moved as directed. "I need a set of adjustable claws - hands and feet." Adjustable for various reasons. "I'll also need a machine pistol. I don't know anything about guns, so whatever you think would be best for someone with 'okay' aim and very little experience."
Once he had collected his weapons, Ty moved over to the firing range on the right, put on the available earmuffs, and began taking some practice shots, trying to get a feel for the gun. The claws, he left in a pile at his feet, for the moment. His nerves were showing in his uncharacteristic silence.

"Can I get one of those Athenas?" Cassandra asked. "I assume we'll be using them when we go over to the other ship." The Athena was something she hadn't used before, and she was rather excited about it. Well, sort of. It would be interesting to see how the rifle and scope would perform.
