Well that's good to hear. However, I will most likely be going to spar with a friend here shortly. (I've gotten permission from Yuki-san) So if you need me, feel free to send a Hells Butterfly.

Hey, um, I'm just a bit curious. Why do we have a Squad medic? Isn't that stealing Squad 4's thunder? :/

Jin was apart of 4th squad for a time, but never really became a part of it since she was sent to Earth as a medic for a while. After that she met her captain, who wouldn't teach her any advanced healing spells because she thought that Jin wasn't ready or something like that. Jin then joined our squad and helped heal our former Captain Commander during our preparations for the raid on the Seretei. Jin proclaimed shortly after that she didn't care about rank but still wanted to learn the healing kido's she needed so that's how she got that title.

Mrs. Waffles (always makes me want them ... lol) I do not hold any rank or seating within 1st Squad. I am attached to 1st Squad as their Medic but I received all my medical training from 4th Squad. I have just about all the healing kidou's and receive one-on-one training with VC Hirimi-San as needed from 4th Squad.
There is a post about my position in 1st Squads thread area made by Razil-San. It is true ... I hold no seat or rank. I am a healer who gave up any chance at rank/seating just so I could be attached to 1st Squad as a medic. In return, I am granted my Shikai (achived) and Bankai (still pending). Both of which are based around healing. This position was approved by the Captains and guild owner.
As for stealing 4th Squads thunder ... nope. I just healed their VC and 3rd Seat a couple of days ago. I make trips back and forth between squads for training and medical guidance. They get my help when its needed too.
You see, 4th squad is trying to make themselves more of a fighting/healing squad and I'm just interested in healing. Now my Shikai and Bankai are based around healing but yet useable to defend myself and my patients from harm. But they are no were near as powerful as say someone else from 1st Squad. Believe me, your gonna want me here when you go to battle. Ask anyone from the squad, I have healed just about all of them including Razil-San after his Bankai training which just about killed him.

I can vouch got her as well. She healed me three times within the first day of being back in the sereitei. One for some rather large gashes, another because I would have died (she even came to find me) and the last so I wouldn't be numb anymore lol.

I have absolutely no problem with her healing or position, or any doubt in it. I was just curious as to why we would have a squad medic when there was a whole squad for the purpose. ^^
But thank you for sharing the story, I appreciate it. It is nice to have one closer to home, as in my experiences, the squad was not to active. Again, I just wondered why we had one, not criticizing the decision.

Everything seems to have come to a stand still since we took back the Soul Society. We need to pick things back up. I miss RPing with everyone. sad
