 Nariko smiled evily, "Actually I have told a child santa isn't real. Several children as a matter of fact." She remembered that day so clearly. She hadn't had sleep in about three days and it was around Christmas time and she was at the mall. So many little kids where screaming about wanting to see Santa, well she gave them a nice shock when she proved that the santa was a fraud.
She then looked at Rin, "You shouldn't lie to the poor boy..." She said pulling him into a hug as she patted his hair. "It's okay Tsuzuki..." Of course she was just going along with the whole drama, acting it out sort of thing.
Then the words move in caught her ears and she nearly dropped Tsuzuki. "Really!?" She asked. Her entire face seemed to be glowing with happines. "You really mean I could move in? That I would never have to live in that wretched main house ever again?" This was probably her one chance to actually find a smidge of freedom. It wasn't much but she would take it.

 ((Gah, I died.)) Yuri, who was sharpening, I mean filing her nails under the desk as she was pretended to be reading from her text book, suddenly froze, an odd feeling falling over her. My spider senses are tingling! she thought, dropping the nail file into her lap. Someone has just betrayed me. Her hand shot up. "Sensei, I'm feeling ill. May I go to the infirmary?" she asked. The teacher just sighed and wrote her a pass. "Whatever, it's not like you're going to do your work anyway." she said, having lost all hope in Yuri after the first week of having her. "God, I need a stiff drink." she muttered under her breath. Yuri happily took the pass and skipped out of the classroom, heading to the nearest bathroom. There were a couple of first years sitting on the sinks, smoking, obliviously cutting class and trying to look cool. "I'm about to get violently ill within the next ten seconds. Ten, nine-" and with that the kids scrambled out into the hall. Yuri smiled triumphantly and pulled her cell phone out of her small leather purse and speed dialed a number. It rang for a while, then a female voice picked up. "Sohma Family Medicine, this is Kana, how may I help you?" Yuri sighed. "Yes, I like to speak to the doctor. It's urgent." she said, stressing the last word. The line was silent for a moment and then a deeper male voice took the phone. "Yes, this is the doctor, what's your emergency?" "Juuuun, can you do me a favor, please?" Yuri asked, playing with her cell phone charm, a Sailor Jerry style sparrow, as she leaned against the sink. "Oh! Yuri-sama, of course, what do you need?" Jun replied, his voice getting a bit more anxious. "Somebody I love has betrayed me," she said, "and I need you to find out who, so the proper course of action can be taken." "Right away, Yuri-sama." Jun said, and the call ended. ((I made another character who has yet to be approved, he's Yuri's b***h. Don't worry though, Nariko will be allowed to live with Rin.))

When Nariko commented on telling children that Santa wasn't real, she gasped, "How could you! Only someone with a pure evil heart would ever ruin chidlhood lies like that! Those lies are what keeps society going!" When she told him not to lie to the poor boy she defended herself by saying, "I would never lie to a relative Nariko! Shame on you for even suggesting it." She then pulled Tsuzuki away from Nariko as she heard what Rin had said. As they continued walking she let him go, and responded to her.
"Sure, if you really wanted, though, I may charge you for your food, or rent. It would only be a little, since I really need money for food is all," Rin explained as she smiled at the girl. She seemed so happy with this offer, Rin couldn't help but smile as well. "I mean, it gets lonely out here with the same people all the time. You'd fit right in," Rin went on as she playfully reached out and pinched the girl's cheek, as if she were a child. "Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the company of Kairi, but variety is the spice of life, right?"
Tsuzuki looked from Nariko to Rin, as they talked. "So, Nariko...You're going to live with Rin then?" Oh how he wished he didn't have to stay at the main house with his mother. This house was full of ladies, and he couldn't stay. As they continued to walk he thought, "I wonder what Yuri will think of this. The cat? Living here. I don't know, but then again, who cares, it always works out in the end." He then added another question, "Do you think that'll be okay? You moving out? With Yuri that is?" Though he was the one earlier that said he didn't care what she said, still.
Rin the paused, now that he mentions it, Rin didn't want to get in too much trouble with the head of the family. Rin then looked to Nariko and said, "She shouldn't mind that much, you think? I mean, I'll be here to watch you." Rin shrugged, "I'm sure it'll all work out. I mean, Yuri loves me!" I think. Rin then smiled and said to Tsuzuki, "Don't worry about it, and don't worry our Nari about it either. She doesn't need to worry about silly things like that. She already has plenty of stress I'm sure, with her college classes and all." Rin then looked to Nariko and added, "Oh, I forgot to ask. How are your classes going?"
Tsuzuki then looked to Nariko as if amazed, "College? Wow. Isn't that expensive or something? Where did you get all the dough Nariko?" Tsuzuki's mother always told him it was expensive, and always warned him that they might not be able to afford it for him. Tsuzuki did have dreams of going to college and becoming a plastic surgeon or a photographer. Now based on the two choices, perhaps you can figure out what type of photography we're talking about here. If you can fit those together and find something they can have in common depending on what the camera is pointed at.
(( lol. Poor Jun. I wonder if Hatori ever feels like Akito's b***h...XD ))

Just the sound of that name was enough for her to stop breathing. Nariko's smile fell hearing the question about Yuri. she stared blankly at the two, her eyes lost their shine and she seemed dead. "S-she would find out, wouldn't she... She always does..." She felt a shiver go up her spine and shook her head. She looked back at Rin with the same lifeless look, "She says she loves us all Rin." She then suddenly smiled.
"My classes are going great!" She said now perky, but her eyes still looked dead. "I'm in the top ten in my class!" She informed. She then pinched Tsuzuki cheeks, "Wow you sure a nosy today aren't you."She said with a forced smile. "Who said I had to pay? Hmmm?"
She patted his head and continued walking. "I got a scholarship for your information. That covered most of it, but I did have to sell a few things. Mostly old stuff lying around the house collecting dust." She said with a shrug. "For example my mom's favorite vase. My dad just put it up after she died and it just held to many memories..."
To anyone else selling you deceased mothers most prized possessions might seem heartless. Nariko didn't see things that way, she saw that the object had no use, therefore there was no need to have it. She needed the money too, she was sure her mother wouldn't mind. After all she would want Nari to be happy, right? She told Nari she loved her, so wouldn't she be happy she got to go to college?
Her father on the other hand wasn't pleased, he came home that night screaming with furry. He went through the same routine, called her a monster, blamed her for her mothers death, called her a few nasty names. That night he had actually been a bit more creative with his name calling. She had just sat there and took it with a nod. That was all she could do.

Rin smiled and added, "I meant, I think she loves me most of all! Then again, I may just wish that, and tell myself she does so I can feel special." Rin then laughed at herself, as she ran her fingers through her hair. "I like to think I'm special to the head of the family," Rin told the two of them with a smile.
Tsuzuki then looked to Rin and said, "You are special Rin." Then as Nariko pinched his cheeks, "Hey, just cuz she pinched your cheeks doesn't mean you have to pinch mine!" He rubbed his cheek as she let go of them, "Nosy? Just curious."
Rin then looked to Nariko, "You're in the top ten, wow. Congrats. What are you trying to get a degree in?" Rin had no idea Nariko was such a genius, maybe she could help Rin with her taxes and such. Rin ws never very fond of math, especially financial math.
"A scholarship!?! Wow Nariko, you're so lucky! I hope I can get a scholarship!" Tsuzuki said with a tone of pure joy for her. When she went on to say how she had to sell stuff, he paused. At the mention of her mother's favorite vase, he fell silent. Forgetting that her mother had died, and now not wanting to ask or say anything more, out of consideration.
Rin on the other hand went on, "You sold your mothers favorite vase? How could you! Besides the fact that it held memories of that sweet woman, that vase was gorgeous. You should've sold it to me Nari." She began to whine like a kid when she said that, but she was just trying to lighten the subject, though, that wasn't the best way of doing it. In truth Rin knew Nariko's mother, and enjoyed her company, in a way. Rin always would have tea or something with the woman, well, when she lived in the main house anyways.

Yuri sighed as she put away her phone. Today just was not going to be a good day. "So why even bother with going back to class?" she said aloud, turning her attention to a small window higher up on the wall, just big enough for her to crawl through. Climbing up on the heater she pushed open the window and pulled herself through it, rolling into the grass. She stood up and dusted herself off, heading off into the woods so she wouldn't have to deal with anyone who was patrolling the main gate. "Now, where should I go?" she asked herself, "If I go home now I'll probably have to do some work or something, and that's no fun. Hmm, maybe I should go visit dear Rin. She doesn't have a real job, so she's sure to be home."
((Now would be a good time for you guys to leave, I guess.))

At the mentioning of selling something to Rin, Nari gasped. "Oh that's right! Mother did leave something for you in her will. I'll bring it over when I bring my stuff...." She said as they neared the store. "Speaking of my stuff, when would be a convenient time for me to move in?" She asked looking over her shoulder as the entered the store.
She then smiled at Tsuzuki, "I'm sure you could if you tried hard enough." She sighed. "You have a life though where as I didn't, my entire life revolved around making good grades." She laughed a bit. "I wanted to be a Teacher, but I don't think I can. So I'm aiming to be a psychiatrist." She had this dreamy far off look on her face. She wanted to help others with their problems. She hadn't been able to do anything for her mom but maybe she could make up for it by helping out others.
She grabbed a buggy and walked back to the two. "So what's first on you list Rin?" She said asked turning to face her.

Rin paused, "She left something...for me?" Rin then grew a little sad, she was surprised, and she realyl didn't want to accept anything. Though, she couldn't help but wonder what it might be. What would she give me, I don't know. Really, she shouldn't have left me anything, I really don't need anything... She then looked to Nariko as she asked when she could move in, "Whenever you're ready Nari." She smiled, she seemed very eager, then again, who wouldn't be. The main house was almost like a jail.
Tsuzuki then asked her, "So, if I don't make great grades, do you think I could still get a scholarship?" he didn't really try to think of his future too much, so he made at least average grades, with an "A" surprrising him with a visit every so often. "Why would you want to be a teacher in the first place? Or even a psychiatrist? You should be a model or something. You should share you're beauty all over the world," Tsuzuki told Nariko with a smile.
As they entered the store, Rin looked to Nariko as she asked what to get first. "Well, I didn't really come here with a list...I just planned to let Tsuzuki run around and grab whatever he wanted while I did the same. Now that you're here you can participate in this "Running of the Shoppers", if you'd like." Ring then suggested, "We should all probably get our own baskets and then fill them up, since I think three carts full would cost a fortune..." Rin then added, "Unless you feel we need that much Nariko, you are the genius in the house."
This was not a new experience for Tsuzuki, pretty much every time he visited this happened, and he loved it. He usually stocked up on snakcs, candy and soda, while Rin bought actual groceries. He smiled happily as he grabbed a shopping basket and took off heading straight to the snack aisle.
(( Leave where? The house? We're already gone, lol. Yuri could bump into us at the store, or as we're leaving or something. Or just go into Rin's house and surprise them when they get back. mrgreen ))

It didn't take Yuri long to get to Rin's little house in the woods, as it was relatively close to the high school. "Ding dong!" Yuri called out as she knocked on the front door, but no one answered. "Hmm, I guess I'll just have to let myself in." she said,and took a few steps back, then roundhouse kicked the door in. "Hello, is anyone home?" she yelled, walking into the hall. It was now obvious to her that the house was empty, so she decided to make herself at home and plopped down on Rin's couch. "Well, I have nothing better to do so I guess I'll just wait for her to come home." she said, enjoying the sound of her voice in the empty house. The main house was never this quiet, too many people lived there for it to ever get that way.

"Genius?" Nari laughed. "I think not." She picked up one more cart. "I think two will be sufficient since last time I checked you had nothing in your house. Not even a crumb." She handed the other cart to Tsuzuki, "I'll cook tonight!" She exclaimed. "Think of it as thank you for being the most awesome person in the world and letting me move into your house gift." She said smiling.
Turning to Tsuzuki, she shrugged. "There is a possibility you might get a scholar ship if you join a sport or club." She laughed at the comment about being a model, "I think thats more up your ally. I chose teacher at first because think about it. The youth of tomorrow's minds like play dough in your hands. I can raise my own tiny army." She joked. "No I kid, I just want to do something useful with my life, help some one out you know?"She then looked at him, "No junk food." She informed, she knew how bad of a sweet tooth he had.
Looking back at Rin. "Well if it's not to much I would like to move in tonight. The sooner I'm away the better." She then pushed the cart a little bit the placed her feet on the back riding it like a little kid. "Come on slowpokes..." She then disappeared around a corner going down the first aisle.

doko ni datte yukeru  ~*I was having a transparent dream*~ Kairi went to a different school than Yuri, an all girls school that her parents had forced her into going to. She hated it, she wanted to go to a mixed-gender school. Lucky for her she lived with Rin and not her parents anymore, but she did still have to go to the girls' school. She barely paid any attention to the teacher throughout the day, though when called on to answer, she gave perfect(and always correct) answers(much to the teachers surprise, and the amusement of the class at the teachers struck-dumb expression). End of the day the bell rang and Kairi was one of the first students to run out the front doors and head home to the house she shared with Rin, unaware that the cat was gonna be there, unaware that as of today, it wasn't just her and Rin-san. She took her time, stopping at a convenience store along the way and browsing for her favorite brand chips(Dorito), and her favorite flavor(Sweet Chilli Heat). ~*It was a tender eternity*~ tumetai asa no himo

"Oh let him get junk food!" Rin told Nariko with a smile, "The kid doesn't live with me so over half the crap he buys I get to eat, and the other resident, and now residents." She smiled as she followed after Nariko and called to her as she went down the first aisle, "I want you to get the breakfast items, lunch and snacks please? Snacks meaning healthy. I'll handle the sundries and dinner items, alright? I can trust you on this assignment right?"
Tsuzuki of course wouldn't take Nariko's advise, junk food was his speialty. He always picked out the snacks and so fourth. That was usually all he ate while at Rin's house, since she never cooked anything for him anyways. He usually only stayed for the day, and on rare, freak occurances he would stay overnight.
(( So, let's hurry and get back to the house. 3nodding ))

Nari turned around one more corner with a nod. "Okay..." She then began picking up the food she knew that Rin and just about everyone liked.
After about thirty minuets she had a cart full and found Rin and Tsuzuki. "Finished!" She said smiling happily. "When you tow get done we can go check out. Then I can go get my stuff and then off to your house!" She said dramatically as if it was some sort of mission.

Rin smiled at Nariko and then suggested, "Why don't you go ahead and get your stuff and meet us back at the house. I can pay for all of this, and I can ask a worker here to help carry the food back to my house. two birds with one stone you know?" Rin had also completed her shopping, and grabbed a hold of Nariko's cart, pulling it away from her. "This should take maybe ten or fifteen minutes, so we might be home before you but you can have your stuff as well," Rin said in addition to Nariko with a shrug.
Tsuzuki was going to offer to go along with Nariko to help her bring her stuff over to Rin's house, but he knew that Rin would need help bringing back all of the groceries. So, he didn't say anything, but take the cart Rin had taken from Nariko and push it along and towards a register. He then looked to Nariko and said, "I think that sounds like a good idea. So, go get your stuff Nari."

Nariko smiled brightly and quickly darted out of the store. As she soon as she was out the door her happiness seemed to burst forth all at once. She squealed and took off running to the main house. "Yes!" she screamed as soon as she entered her home and didn't stop running until she came to her room.
She ran back to the living room and grabbed the tea set her mother always used when Rin came over. It was the only time when her mother ever used it. She care fully wrapped it up. then ran back up stairs.
She then finished packing and grabbed a few books her mother also left Rin, that she knew she liked. She then walked back but paused. She didn't know why but she rummaged through the drawers until she found a note pad and a pen. She then wrote a note to her father.
Gone to live with Rin...
Don't worry I only took what I bought with my money the rest you can sell.

She pasted it on the fridge. She knew he wouldn't care but she felt the need to let him know. He would probably be happier with her gone. she knew she was happy to get away. With that she began her trip back to Rin's dragging along one suitcase and a backpack.
