With her slightly weakened base, the closeline did what it was intended to do. Drop Claire down to the canvas!

~*~ Mickie showed no remorse nor hesitation as she looked down on Claire. She
raised the arm weilding the belt and threw it forward, the buckle aimed at the
opposite leg this time, as Mickie looked to keep her opponent grounded ~*~

the belt around Claire's legs then turn her over to apply a modified Boston Crab ~*~

Claire was down but not out, no not by a long shot! Claire attemptedto mule kick Mickie in the chest before she could wrap her legs!

~*~ Mickie was hit squarely in the chest by the boots and tried in vain to keep
her balance as she stumbled two steps back and fell, smack, onto the mat ~*~

With Mickie donw for the moment, Claire had a chance to regroup as she forced herself up to her feet! She had to change tatics, that or don't be lured into anymore traps.

~*~ Mickie scooted back to the corner where she used the support of the
ropes and turnbuckles to get to her feet. She ran forward towards Claire
as she held the ends of her belt in both hands. Once she was within range
she leapt in the air, turning sideways in mid air attempting to wrap the belt
around Claire's neck and slam her to the mat in a modified takedown ~*~

~*~ Mickie slammed Claire down with the aid of her weapon of choice for the
moment. She tried to hook Claire's legs and flip over for a bridge, which if she
succeeded with, Mickie would hook her own feet onto the bottom rope, outside
of the ref's viewpoint to add an unfair advantage to her pin attempt ~*~

~*~ Mickie was irritated but wasn't going to waste time arguing with the incompetent referee who'd failed to move
swiftly enough to secure the victory for her. Instead she let her legs fall from around the ropes and slipped between
them as she slid to the outside. Draping her belt across Claire's throat, Mickie took each end tightly in her hands,
placed a boot on the edge of the ring and attempted to pull back with all her weight and choke Claire ~*~

Claire grabbed the belt and tried to breathe as Mickie choked her! Thankfully for her there wasn't a ring post behind her, and she managed to slipped the belt over her head. Claire, gaging and trying to breathe again, slowly rolled onto her hands and knees.
